  1. I am just floored by this. What the hell was Carolina thinking?
  2. Damn that makes me feel old. Was a hell of a day, watched with my dad too. The Raiders comeback was also wild.
  3. Thought he did ok considering the scenario. He gets hit on that int, although I don't like the read either way. I am happy we have Allen, but the Rosen hate is absurd.
  4. Cinci fans were thanking the stars when Bodine left.
  5. To me, the scripted throws that were a product of Daboll's play calling were a large part of my excitement. The biggest knock on Allen coming out of school wasn't that he couldn't push the ball downfield or take the top off the defense, but instead that he was unable to stack up the routine throws, dump-offs, underneath stuff, etc. He excelled at those in this game. They weren't a part of his college ball, and he's had to learn how to temper the fastballs for these plays. I loved it.
  6. Benjamin. Groy. Secondary. and on and on.
  7. Like Drew Bree's what?
  8. I am so effing pissed about our OLine. Year after year the bills do this to me. We finally end up with an middle-of-the-road one and it immediately disintegrates in a single offseason. Why do we continually ignore it? I fully expect us to ignore it next offseason because why not.
  9. We need Stanford's model for mascots. Pick the drunkest intern, put 'em in a room with arts and crafts materials and an external frame backpack, and voila, that's your look for the next 9 months.
  10. Not surprised in the slightest. He's awful.
  11. Our LBs are a weakness. Wanted to see Edmunds perform better than he is. I have high hopes for him but I was optimistic for faster development. Another poster said this above, but he "leans in" when he shouldn't.
  12. It's the best I've experienced out here. Moving to Seattle in a month though!
  13. Is this a camp-leg thing? I think Schmidt is pretty good.
  14. Pump the breaks?? Boo, hiss.
  15. I was a fan of the murphy signing, and think if he can get on the field he'll perform. I'm worried about his ability to get - any stay - on the field.
  16. To each their own but that sounds like straight up crazy talk.
  17. Rosen had a phenomenal game. I loved Allen's performance and am very excited to see his development, but Rosen looked the best of all the rookies this week imo. He's so polished, places the ball so well, and reads the field like a pro.
  18. Darnold looks very good at the underneath stuff. Let's not underrate that. Impressive field reading. I *think* that Allen will have to learn to take what the defense gives him a bit more than he's shown on his tape. However I think is ceiling is also considerably higher than Darnold's, and part of what makes him special is how badly he wants to push the ball down the field. Sam will be a productive quarterback in the league with a shot at being very good. Allen could be a productive quarterback in the league with a shot at being dominant. This will be fun.
  19. If he throws a pick I riot. #hotseat
  20. That's a bit harsh. I have HBO and I don't want the Bills to be featured on hard knocks. I see no advantage for the team whatsoever, and at the end of the day I want the Bills to be the strongest team possible. I have no doubt we would all watch and analyze, but that was never up for consideration. Loved the opening episode for Embedded. Smart to have it in house. jmo.
  21. i was all over the place on Allen (and Darnold) throughout the process. Day of, I definitely wanted Rosen. I wasn't happy when they selected Allen. But, I've been very happy reading about his camp performance and it's a hell of a lot of fun watching him play. It's so fun being a fan in times like these.
  22. As much as I'd love it as a fan, I have a hard time seeing how they could start Allen on Friday. I think they're one preseason game short, if they want to run this thing while appearing to be astute decision makers. All played well in game 1. There's no reason based on short term performance to put Allen ahead of AJ on Friday, unless they want to appear like they're rooting for Allen. If there was another game between 2 and 3 (the latter being the universally recognized "dress rehearsal"), I imagine Allen would get a start after AJ. But I don't know how they do that if they need a starter by the real game 3. Hope they make my assumptions look like a crock and they trot Allen out.
