It's almost as if prepping for Head Coach interviews with multiple other teams could be a distraction to an OC about to coach in the biggest game in his life... I hate that part of the NFL.

1/26/25 GAMEDAY AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME Bills @ Chiefs 1st Half Thread

Bishop running into Hunt while fully upright with his arms out like Frankenstein was comical. WTF? -
Anybody taking the Saints HC job is almost guaranteed to be looking for another job in 2 years. They have no QB, no means to draft one this year, and are in utter Cap Hell. You can't turn a team like that around without breaking down & fixing the Cap, and that'll take 2 seasons. If Brady takes that job, chances are he's looking for another OC position in 2 years. I think he's smarter than that. Stay as Bills' OC another year, he'll be next year's Ben Johnson and can pick the best situation. I do think the Jags situation could maybe be enough to sway Brady, but not the Saints or Raiders.

Does Mahomes really get preferential treatment from officials?

We only threw 22 times, and the Ravens flooded the middle of the field to take that away. I'd have liked to see Kincaid run some seams, but I think better days are ahead for him.

I blame Taylor Swift. KC has gotten an overabundance of favorable calls for several years, but it really took off when Swift started appearing at their games. The NFL has hundreds of thousands of new people tuning in just to see her shown up in the box. The powers that be obviously prefer another Taylor Swift-laden Chiefs appearance in the super bowl to CJ Stroud.

Goff can be a good QB when everything around him is really good- like the Lions the past 2 seasons. In a vacuum- he throws a ton of wobbly balls, is borderline immobile, and prone to a lot of picks.
-
He pouted in the locker room after a playoff win because he only played 20% of snaps and caught 1 ball. He had to make himself a distraction instead of celebrating advancing in the playoffs, and now he'll be at home this weekend instead of Arrowhead. You just joined the Texans 2-3 weeks ago, they weren't gonna make you the focal point of their offense. All you had to do was play your role the best you can, ride it out, then go look for a new opportunity in the offseason. Now it's unlikely he's offered much of anything in the future.

This! You're allowed to hit the QB on RPO/Read-Option plays when he doesn't have the ball, but fakes like he does. When these plays first started popping up with Chip Kelly's offense, one of the criticisms was that the QB will take a pounding. But nobody ever made it a priority to blast QBs who did it. Now would be a great time to start. Hit Jackson every time he does it & hands off.

The key to slowing Henry down is tackling him by his legs. So many of Henry's runs show tacklers falling/bouncing off his upper body & waist. Get his legs & he goes down, it will hurt more in the cold & wear on him.

Darnold kinda blows. A lot of his poor passes are bailed out by excellent WR play, and he's somehow less mobile than Stafford.

The Ravens Run-D stats are skewed by 2 things. 1- The fact that they played with a lead for much of the year behind their run game, teams pass more to keep up 2- The book on them is that they can be passed on, so that's what most teams game plans featured Sure, their Run-D is solid, but probably not any better than Denver in reality
-
It's pretty crazy that Surtain & Bonitto are the 2 front-runners for DPOY and I didn't hear either name during the game. Bonnito was mentioned on an early run play for getting washed out by Dawkins, but that was it.
-
There is no way the Refs will let the Texans beat the Chiefs. Every time KC fails to convert a 3rd down anywhere near the redzone, there will be an inevitable flag for defensive holding. I predict this game will be comical from a "fabricated penalty" perspective.

This game feels like the Seattle game earlier this year. Everyone worried about what a solid Seattle team "could" do against us, and we came out & punched them in the mouth. We'll do the same to Denver.

The Browns saga is only going to get better when Shedeur Sanders pulls an Eli & tells the Browns not to draft him at #2. They'll draft him anyway, he'll force a trade, and the Browns still won't have a QB.

Congrats Kyle Williams, new DL coach of the LSU Tigers
947 replied to BillsPride12's topic in The Stadium Wall
One of my favorite Kyle memories was that video where he whooped Marshawn Lynch in a swimming race. Awesome athlete & a great character. -
The Saints are in Cap hell, as usual, Carr has probably 1 more year, draft too late to get a QB, and have an awful lot of needs. Their next coach will have a very tough time turning around that situation in a year or 2. I can't see an up-n-comer like Brady viewing that as the right opportunity.
-
There will always be stupid teams who sign WRs to crazy deals. A few years ago, nobody would've believed a team would ever give a QB a fully guaranteed contract, and here we are...
-
The chance that Brady would take the Jets job if offered are very low, there's little chance for success there (for any coach) & he'd likely be there 2 years tops before being viewed as another failed hotshot coordinator & end up having to be an OC again. If/when Brady leaves, it'll be for a good opportunity with either a QB in place or the draft picks to get one. I think the Saints job is slightly better than the Jets, but they have no QB or means to get one either. Once Ben Johnson is a HC somewhere next year, Brady will be the top offensive candidate on the board & have a much better chance at the right opportunity. I hope Brady declines an interview for a Jets job he doesn't want, & just focuses on this week's game.

Von Miller needs 1 sack for $1.5 million
947 replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
The NFL won't change a sack ruling on their own. A player can challenge the ruling if they think they should get credit, but no teammate will do that to Von.
