Hell No to Funchess, he's a turd who cannot separate. We already tried our hand & lost with a big, slow WR from Carolina. I think Beane is sis smart enough to stay far away. Tavon Austin would be pretty useless here, except on special teams. Same goes for Cordarelle Patterson. I'd be cool with anyone else on that list.

I take it all back - Jarod Goff is a California wimp!
947 replied to The Senator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's a 3rd year QB. Let's not act like he's a rookie, he's a 3rd year starting player with 2 Pro Bowls. His performance was indicative of the player he is, not his age. -
I was really disappointed that Wade didn't make any adjustments on Edelman. He continued to allow Edelman to stay open in the short zone without spying him. Brady's arm isn't what it used to be, make him throw downfield more & it's a different ballgame.

Share Your Super Bowl 53 Predictions

I have a sinking feeling that the Rams control the game, but it starts to slip away in the 4th quarter, ultimately decided by a phantom Roughing the Passer penalty on Brady, giving the Pats a chance to win it in the final seconds. -
This draft is literally the best case scenario. I would go absolutely nuts if we got those top 3.

Updates from Senior Bowl week in Mobile, AL

I really like Andy Isabella. He's had great production despite his size, inclusing against top competition. Forget measurables, he'll be a star for somebody. He's one of those non-first round guys that just screams success at the next level, that we ususally pass on. I remember having the same feeling about Jordy Nelson. -
It's Risner for me too. The dude is a freaking animal, he'd be such a perfect addition. I'm even starting to be OK with taking him at #9 if we can't trade down a few spots. His performance this week has made him a top-20 lock.

Agreed. If McBeane passes on somebody like Ed Oliver for a marginal OL prospect, we're in trouble.

Ebay has signed & authenticated Reed jerseys for $99. Depending what he's charging plus buying a jersey, it's probably cheaper to just buy that & go meet him for free.

Bodine was ok at times, awful at others, but never good. He's not a top-32 Center in the NFL. That said, he was much better than Groy. We really need to upgrade Center, but I agree with keeping Bodine 1 more year as depth. Groy can walk.

The Quarterback Shuffle 2019
947 replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Flacco to Washington makes sense in that he wouldn't even have to sell his house to go there. They could tailor the offense more toward his skill set, and include more play action & deep shots. I think if Eli even wants to come back, he will be encouraged to retire. I could see NYG trading for Carr. No idea on the Raiders. Could Gruden see Bridgewater or Tannehill as a WCO fit? -
I'm in the Chicago area. I was a Bears fan by default as a kid, but officially adopted the Bills as my team in 88'. I don't have any other teams I root for, Bills only. I feel no emotion whatsoever for the Bears, they're the same as any non-rival team to the Bills to me. When they missed that FG yesterday, I honestly didn't care one way or another. I can relate of course...

Wild Card Sunday: More FA targets to watch
947 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Anybody looking at Tyrell Williams as anything other than a WR3 will be highly disappointed. Would he help our WR corps? Absolutely. But he isn't going to make a very large difference, he's basically a league average WR. Let somebody else pay WR2 money for that. -
OT Jonah Williams in the first

That highlight video isn't overly impressive. Normally when you see highlights of a 1st round OL talent (like Quenton Nelson last year), they are absolutely mauling people in games. I'm not seeing that in the vid, and even a clear hold is featured. Not saying he's not a 1st round talent, but I expected a more dominant highlight reel. Looking forward to focusing on him vs Clemson. -
Probowl selections - No Bills Selected

Say what you want about Tre'Davious, but there is no way in hell that Stephon Gilmore belongs in the Pro Bowl. If not Tre, somebody else got robbed of that spot. -
Don Beebe-New HC at Aurora College

I live near Aurora College. Almost every time I hear Beebe's name mentioned around here, somebody says "the guy from the Bills with that huge helmet like the Great Gazoo?". -
All 22: Evaluating Teller pass blocking 1st half v Jets
947 replied to Bocephuz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Really impressive seeing Teller pick up that first stunt. Then equally unimpressive in the next vid when he doesn't recognize #50 coming across his face. I think he's ready physically to a solid starting OG now, but he needs more development between the ears. I feel pretty good about him going forward. -
Potential Cut Candidates in the Offseason
947 replied to DCOrange's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Trent Murphy is a pretty good player. Sure, he's had some injury issues, but he's performed on the field. I don't see him going anywhere, it's not like there are better pass rushers available for less. -
I want no part of Tyrell Williams

Travis Benjamin is fool's gold. He's nothing more than a WR4, and those can be found anywhere. -
Any Buyer's Remorse From Teams That Drafted QB in Round 1?
947 replied to Flip Johnson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lamar Jackson's initial success has a bit of the Tebow Magic feel to it. He's won some games while being a poor passer, and may even get them into the playoffs. He's never going to be a good pocket passer, I don't think what he's doing is sustainable, and I could see Jackson washing out in a year or 2 if the Ravens stay with him over Flacco. As far as the Bills are concerned, I'm ecstatic that we have Allen and not Darnold. Even more glad it's not Rosen. -
Will Buffalo Have a 1,000 Yard Rusher in 2019
947 replied to TigerJ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
3300 yards passing is only 206/game. He'll have to be a bit better than that to take the next step, which should be well within reason if we upgrade the weapons & OL. -
Big Bucks next year, what to spend on, what to draft?
947 replied to steven50's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with what everybody's said about signing OL/WR, but it seems like everyone is forgetting we're also gonna need to sign 2 CBs. We need a starter & a depth signing, badly. -
I cannot stand KB's attitude & effort, and want him gone as much as anybody, but... It's really impossible to say how close that tipped ball was to him. From that camera angle, it seems like it's pretty close, but it could be 12ft away from him. Yes, he absolutely should've dove for it, even if it was 12ft away & he had no chance, but it may not be as bad as it appears. I'd love to see another angle of that play.
