  1. I really doubt we trade for more picks. We already won't have roster space for more than 5, maybe 6 rookies to make the team. If we move anywhere, it'll be up.
  2. I'd say Stevenson has less than 50% odds of making the team, let alone getting meaningful reps. He may end up having untapped potential, but Beane isn't going to pass on WRs in rounds 1-3 hoping for that. Guys like Stevenson are what scare me about this year's draft. There's a bunch of late round WRs who put up ridiculous 40-times at the combine, and are now being touted as Day 1/Day 2 picks because of that. If a guy's 40-time in shorts far outweighs his other attributes guys, those are guys you take in the 4th round or later, like Stevenson. The last 20 years of Drafts are littered with washouts who were drafted way too high because of a fast 40.
  3. McShay is by far the worst. That guy doesn't know anything & just parrots the "draft experts" consensus analysis. I'm honestly surprised he's still relevant. I actually used to really like Mayock. He wasn't afraid to have his own takes, right or wrong. His insistence that Khalil Mack would be better than Clowney got him mocked, but he stuck with it. He's been a terrible GM, aside from the money, I bet he wishes he'd stuck with his old job.
  4. I'll bet you'll have a buy a season package for your team, and individual games won't be offered. Or maybe you can get a single game, but it'll be really expensive, to drive full subscription sales. Either way, it won't be cheap.
  5. I think it was that hit that started him talking about changing his last name to Hitner.
  6. This has nothing to do with Bates, it's doing right by Ike to allow him to rehab with the Bills. It's a 1-year deal for a season he won't play. No NFL player has ever returned to 100% of their pre-injury form after an achilles rupture. It would be absurb to expect Ike to step in for Bates this year, it's not happening. I'd be surprised if he ever starts a game again.
  7. I would love a CB in the 1st & Pickens in the 2nd. That'd be our best case scenario, better than Dotson in the 1st & praying for a CB next time around.
  8. Lots of college OTs become OGs in the NFL. I'm sure any tackles they're considering could also potentially play guard.
  9. I was shocked that the Rams gave Woods WR1 money when they first signed him. He'd done nothing up to that point to deserve that kind of scratch, and I imagine they could've pried him away for much less. He did end up living up to the deal, not sure if that makes the Rams smart or stupid...
  10. I can't see even the Browns being dumb enough to trade Baker to an AFC team. That leaves Seattle, New Orleans, Carolina, & Detroit as the QB-needy teams. Saints or Seahawks make the most sense to me. I bet Washington feels awfully stupid after trading for Wentz...
  11. You guys are crazy thinking this injury is just like returning from an ACL. Regardless of recovery time, if Ojabo is able to recover 100% of his explosiveness, he'll be the first, ever. Sure, Cam Akers came back quickly. But he wasn't the same player as before the achilles, and likely never will be. This is the absolute worst type of injury for an athlete. Maybe Ojabo can get back to 90%, and that's still damn good, but no way would I touch him in rounds 1-2.
  12. One the guys who made ESPN great back in the day. I used to love watching Clayton, I avoid ESPN as much as possible nowadays. RIP
  13. I'd be happy with Penny, McKinnon, or Patterson.
  14. Hopefully Rashaad Penny
  15. Mayfield isn't getting traded to the Colts. The Texans only traded within the conference because they know they'll suck for another couple years. The Browns are not a smart organization, but I think they can figure this one out. Baker will go to the Seahawks or Saints.
  16. Really hoping for Mariota. If Josh missed time, Barkley probably can't win a game for us, unless we're playing a bottom feeder.
  17. The Raiders would've taken a WR with that pick anyway, I don't think the Adams pick affects us. Except GB will actually take the best WR available, instead of just the fastest...
  18. Packers now have picks 22 & 28. They could realistically get two stud WRs out of: Chris Olave Jameson Williams Treylon Burks Garrett Wilson Drake London
  19. No way OBJ goes to a team without a QB or a chance at the postseason. He'll have suitors that are likely playoff bound, like Tennessee or Tampa. Or maybe whoever lands Watson, since they'll have no draft capital to get a WR any other way. Nobody will even consider Odell until after the draft.
  20. I think it's likely that Williams misses at least half of the season.
  21. The way I see it, this is a very rare year in that the draft is absolutely stacked at both WR & CB. We can get one of those positions at #25 that would be a much higher pick most years. And we can get one in the late 2nd round that might be a late first rounder other years. Both being positions of need for us, you just can't pass up that value. I'd love a trade up to get an extra 3rd rounder & can go RB & IOL there. If only Frazier had been hired as a HC, we'd already be able to do that...
  22. You can't count his pre-draft measurables anymore since he's torn his achilles, he may not be faster than any of those guys, who knows. Nobody returns to 100% of their prior athleticism, but that doesn't mean he still can't be good. Crabtree had some solid seasons after he tore his, though he wasn't as explosive as before it.
  23. We're pretty much forced to go either CB/WR or WR/CB in rounds 1-2. I like Hall, but I just can't see us taking a RB over either of those.
  24. Reggie White signed with Green Bay at age 32, people wondered if he was slowing down due to age. He took a team with a young superstar QB to the next level, eventually winning a Super Bowl. White had 68.5 sacks in his 6 seasons with the Packers. Von Miller is 32, situations seem awfully similar, just saying...
  25. Beane while TBD complained all day about the lack of moves:
