I think Gilliam is a goner. Gilliam is a solid player, but his role is too minimal to take a spot on a roster this deep. Tenuta is 6'8", no way can he play Guard. I think they see him as a developmental OT, I'd say he's a lock for the PS.

The 2nd Wave of Free Agency Starts Today at 4PM

I 'm doubtful Boettger will ever play for us again. He is coming back from the worst football injury possible that 0% ever fully recover their prior form, and was far from a roster lock even before that. -

Add ILB to that, possibly the most important of the 3, given our Defense. -
No doubt we'd have beat Cincy. We'd have had a very difficult time with the Rams DL with Von, but I still like our chances.

Congrats on the contract, but that's the worst destination in the league. Lovie probably really wanted him, but it's doubtful Lovie will see year 2 of his contract & who knows what that'll mean for Mario.

Fuller ran a 4.32 about 20 injuries ago, there's no way he still has that same speed. Now I do agree he's an intriguing low-cost option for a 1yr deal, but in a lottery ticket sense. -
Crowder is gonna be like Beasley's first 2 years in Buffalo, he'll be great this year. I really like Shakir, but his value will be felt in 23' & beyond.

Rd 2, Pick 63 (31): RB James Cook, Georgia
947 replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Similar profile to McCaffrey, but without the insane college usage rate. Makes me think if we use him like McCaffrey probably should've been used (instead of as a workhorse), he can be highly effective in moderate doses as a runner & several targets per game. James Cook (5'11" 199 lbs) 40- 4.42 10yd Split- 1.54 Vertical- 33" Broad-124" Yards per touch- 9.04 1 TD per every 14.9 touches Christian McCaffrey (5'11" 202 lbs) 40- 4.48 10yd Split- 1.55 Vertical-37.5" Broad- 121" Yards per touch- 7.01 1 TD per every 23.5 touches -
I think all the BS with guest people announcing the picks makes is really annoying the vast majority of the time, with the obvious exception of Kyle Brandt. I'd rather see highlight clips or hear the draft guys talk about the player than hear random people talk for 2 minutes on the podium.

Dang! two AFC teams seemed to really help themselves : Jets & KC

I don't see anything scary about KC. They drafted a slot corner in Round 1. I guess Jamison Crowder will be shut down in that game... if only we had anybody else to throw to. Karlaftis is Chris Kelsay. Pretty sure he'll have minimal impact on our offense when we play them. Skyy Moore is yet another in a long line of mid-tier speed WR drafted by the Chiefs, Hill is the only one who really panned out for them. He's basically a rookie version of Mecole Hardman. I'd guess he has little impact this year. -
Rd 3, Pick 89 (25): LB Terrell Bernard, Baylor
947 replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
He has a similar profile to Thomas Davis. I think he'll be a McD hybrid LB/SS in that vein. Thomas Davis (6'1" 228lb) 40 time- 4.52 Vertical- 36.5 Broad Jump- 115 Bench reps- 12 Terrel Bernard (6'1" 224lb) 40 time- 4.59 Vertical- 35.5 Broad Jump- 123 Bench reps- 22 -

I like Elam & Cook light years better than would've liked Breece Hall & whatever CB is still available. -

I'd rather have Muma than any of those LBs, but would be OK with Nakobe -

Doubtful. Maybe in Rd 3. -
I agree they'll want to run more 12-personnel, but counting on OJ Howard to be healthy for 17 games is a major longshot. I think we add a late TE draft pick or a cheap FA on a 1yr deal.

Garrett Wilson models his game after a Bills WR

Good timing, Stevie is going to announce our 2nd round pick tonight. -
I guess Mike Mayock is assisting Belichick with this draft.
-
Likely: WR Possibly: OL Dark Horse: ILB
-
The 1st round RB thing comes down to this: Would you rather have Breece Hall & a late 2nd round CB, or Booth & the 2nd best RB in this draft?
-
I'm not sure what I'm more excited for: the Bills' Draft, or to stop hearing about Breece Hall.
-
I bet he goes to KC.
-
If Olave is there, you run to the podium. Jameson I'd be happy with, but he'll miss at least half the season. If more than 1 of these WRs falls to #25, that likely means all the 1st round CBs are gone. I don't want London at all, and the others I only take if the CBs are all gone.

His limited stats don't mean he's not "very good". His usage rate kept him from putting up better stats, not his talent. I'm glad Sanders seems to have agreed that the Bills are right to give Gabe his shot at stardom.
