  1. I wouldn't doubt it'll be Moss inactive next week & Shakir plays.
  2. The best way to take Henry out of the game is to go up by 3 scores... I'd like to see some 4-3 D on early downs with Bernard coming in for Taron.
  3. Diggs was the one coming off the field in the heavy formations, I think he only played 70ish% of the snaps. Gilliam came in for him several times, and Kumerow towards the end. Probably gameplan dependent based on opponent, and not injury related.
  4. There's no way Dorsey went into that game planning to get Moss 6 catches. Cook would've had at least 5 of those if not for coughing up the rock. And likely would've gotten 40+ yards on them. But I totally agree, too much Moss.
  5. Surprised to see Moss had 6 catches, though he didn't do much with them. I have to think Cook would've gotten some/most of those if not for the early fumble. Though Moss's fumble was worse, the Rams defender popped it out with about 1lb of pressure.
  6. Read-Option outside zone run to Singletary, Josh keeps it & runs inside for 8 yards.
  7. Hoping Flacco is just good enough for them to win 6 games. Flacco may be bad enough that the Jets are in the running for the #1 overall pick. With the non-QB talent they've added, they could turn around quick with the right QB in the draft.
  8. Yep, Gabe should break it by Week 15.
  9. I have to imagine Beane & Kromer talked about Darryl Williams at some point during preseason or after Mancz got hurt. My guess is that Kromer doesn't think he's a fit.
  10. Don't forget Mario Addison. He's currently listed as backing up Hughes in Houston.
  11. That is the best video I've ever seen on Youtube, amazing stuff. I shared with my son who is a HS QB, he loved it.
  12. I think our 10 formation will have Knox in the slot at least as much as we'll have a WR.
  13. Sweeney for me too. He's a practice squad caliber player. If they insist on keeping him, put him on the PS & there's 0% chance anybody signs him.
  14. He looks fragile as hell, that neck looks like an 8th grader's. I don't think he'll make it through the season.
  15. Well we already have 3 slot WRs, no need for another one.
  16. Mims was drafted by the prior Jets regime. He's fallen behind all the WRs the new regime has acquired & was WR7 in their first preseason game. The Jets apparently told him they won't cut him, which makes no sense to me. He's obviously not been on the field much since his rookie year, but he's got to be a lot better than the 7th best WR on a bad Jets team. I really liked him in the 2020 draft. We do have a need at backup outside WR, but I'd rather he get cut & pick him up cheap than give up a late pick.
  17. If Araiza ends up innocent, he has a major libel case over that attorney's twitter post.
  18. Hill was never Mahomes' #1 receiver, it's always been Kelce. But I do expect his numbers to take a hit without a 7yd crosser turning into a 70 yd TD every other game. Rodgers is an amazing QB, but he's in for a major statistical decline without Adams. Both Mahomes & Rodgers would rather still have those guys.
  19. Plus Bass doesn't get to kick in sunny Miami, he played in 4-5 bad weather games last year. Bass is the #1 kicker in the league.
  20. I hope Elam & Benford both play, at least a little. Rookies being thrust into big roles could use reps vs 1s more than the rest of the starters/potential starters.
  21. Numbers are dwindling bigtime. Both my boys started playing tackle in 1st grade, they're 14 & 16 now. Our local league had enough kids for 13 teams when my oldest was that age. 2 years later when youngest started, they only had 5 teams. The following year, they didn't have enough players to even do a 1st grade league. They had to convert to travel-only & have 1-2 teams per age level play against other towns. Nowadays, kids can't even start tackle football until 4th grade around here (Chicago area). They got rid of Jr High football 5 years ago, so the only way kids can play now is for a travel organization, until HS. The good news is lots of kids are coming out for freshman football. My son's team has 40 players, a couple years ago there were only 25-30 freshmen. Only about 25% have played tackle football before, but that's the same everywhere. I'm just glad numbers are rebounding once they get to high school.
  22. Daryl Williams is still a free agent. That has to be in the back of Beane's head if it comes to that.
  23. Awesome proud moment. My youngest will play his first HS football game this weekend. He's been playing since 1st grade & this is the first year I'm not a coach, and that's a bit weird for me. He's a big fast QB with a strong arm, and tries to do everything Josh Allen does. He just found out he got the #17 jersey, and is ecstatic. I'm so pumped for the game, it's hard to focus on anything else this week.
  24. Boettger is coming off a torn achilles, I honestly doubt he'll play again. Very few linemen have played again after that injury, and the ones that did were shadows of their old self. With Ford gone & Mancz possibly out long term, I suspect we'll be looking at cuts for a replacement OG.
  25. I think we need Howard. Not for 2 TE sets, but for if Knox misses games. Knox plays like a madman and gets banged up a lot. We already saw that Sweeney is not a viable option as the only TE. Morris is an undrafted rookie, he seems like a good player but isn't ready for that role yet on team with super bowl hopes. We knew all along that Howard isn't the guy he was prior to the achilles injury, but he's the only TE on the roster who can be a weapon in the pass game if Knox gets hurt.
