  1. All those failures in trying to avoid sacks led to Josh becoming the wizard he is today when doing the same thing. I bet this game specifically stuck with him in that regard.
  2. I have a feeling we'll win all of our remaining divisional games by 20+.
  3. Seahawks 5th round rookie CB Tariq Woolen has 4 INTs aleady. Never heard of the guy before I read that & looked him up, 6'4" & ran a 4.29.
  4. If the Vikings had traded Diggs to Baltimore instead of Buffalo, his annual stat line would be something like 80 catches for 1,020 yards & 5-6 TDs. Then people would say that Diggs isn't a WR1 & that "the Ravens need to get Lamar a true WR1". Even a prime Jerry Rice wouldn't be considered an elite WR in the Ravens offense with Lamar, the target volume & passing ability are not sufficient for anybody to put up true WR1 numbers there.
  5. No top-end WR would agree to go Baltimore with Lamar Jackson as the QB. Guys like Tyreek Hill or Davante Adams who are getting 150+ targets from the best passers in the NFL are not going to a team where they'll now get 50 less targets and less quality targets at that. WRs get contracts based on their production, a guy with the type of production even an elite WR would have in the Ravens' offense is getting 2nd or 3rd tier money.
  6. The crazy thing is, when Brady, Rodgers, or Brees did it, they were almost always helped by extra chances given by the refs. Even now, if Brady is attempting a big drive- a team has to stop him 3x on 3rd downs because he'll get a phantom defensive holding call or PI on the first 2. We got no help from the refs and still did it.
  7. I'm surprised it wasn't Green Bay. A 1-trick pony deep threat is exactly what Rodgers needs.
  8. Chargers have been playing without Keenan Allen since the first half of Week 1, imagine if we lost Diggs for 6 weeks. Also missing Joey Bosa for a long while. They're a good team, and a very real threat to KC in the AFCW with a healthy Keenan Allen & Bosa.
  9. Your math on the TDs is off. Josh has 107 to Mahomes' 94. Still amazing, I had no idea he was even in front, let alone by that much.
  10. Philly is a very good running team, and they're doing a great job of scheming receivers wide open, and Hurts is hitting them when he's not pressured. Once they play better teams & Hurts has to make reads, they'll be somewhat exposed. With their division & the weak NFC, they'll still win 12 or more games.
  11. It made no sense that he wasn't on the field for the 3rd & Goal TD, but it all worked out in the end. Von should be in the game for every red zone play, screw the rotation.
  12. Groot on D. I have a feeling about Knox going off, assuming he plays.
  13. I'll be at that game in Chicago. Bears might be the worst team in the league, it'll be a merry Xmas for sure.
  14. That's the kind of RB trade I can see happening. We're not trading a 1st rounder for anybody, but Gibson could probably be had for a 3rd or 4th.
  15. We need our 1st round pick to cheaply rebuild the interior OL. Pick 30-32 is prime position for a game changing OG. We trade that for a RB & we're looking at more cheap FAs for the OL.
  16. I love how he'll make a ridiculous circus catch, then just hand the ball to the ref like it's business as usual. Really impressive highlight, I can't believe he wasn't a 2nd or 3rd rounder.
  17. That call was the most clear example in a long history of calls designed to allow Brady a chance to win a game he'd otherwise lose. Year after year, we've seen games where Brady looks like he's about to lose, then a ref call plays deus ex machina and he gets another chance. It's clear that the NFL wants Brady in the playoffs & it affects the integrity of the league. The only way to combat it, is to either beat him by more than 1 score, or hope he fails in his extra chances.
  18. I think Minshew would be the perfect backup to Josh. He's a solid QB, has a ton of moxie, and would be a fan favorite. He could be a career Bills backup in the Frank Reich mold.
  19. It could be matchup dependent. Dane is the better tackler, but Elam is faster & better in man coverage.
  20. Tavon Austin was drafted with our #8 pick in the 2013 Draft. It was the old front office's ploy to save face by moving back, and at least not drafting EJ Manuel in the top-10 of the first round.
  21. I can't see the Dolphins winning vs anybody with Teddy Bridgewater back there.
  22. I liked him in his draft, thought he could be a 3rd round target for us. Cardinals grabbed him in the 2nd. I haven't followed his NFL career, so no idea if he's developed at all. He was a healthy scratch in 8 games in 2021. We need to add somebody at WR, it's either him or Beasley.
  23. Josh hasn't gone deep as much because 25% of his games were in the pouring rain, and another 25% were played in a sauna with receivers & O-linemen dropping like flies. This will correct itself.
  24. Singletary's fumble was a fantastic play by the Ravens defender, though it doesn't excuse it by any means. He wasn't carrying the ball loosely, he had sidestepped the defender and was on to his next move when the beaten defender grabbed at the ball from slightly behind with pinpoint accuracy & ripped it out. It's concerning, but not a trend at this point. Steelers will definitely have extra effort going into stripping the ball this week. Thankfully, Watt won't be there to uppercut our guys in the nuts while going after the ball.
  25. We ran a bunch of sweeps Singletary's rookie year, they rarely worked. He doesn't have the speed to get to the edge consistently, his strength is finding a seam & getting through it quickly, not beating CBs & OLBs to the outside.
