It's pretty crazy that Surtain & Bonitto are the 2 front-runners for DPOY and I didn't hear either name during the game. Bonnito was mentioned on an early run play for getting washed out by Dawkins, but that was it.

There is no way the Refs will let the Texans beat the Chiefs. Every time KC fails to convert a 3rd down anywhere near the redzone, there will be an inevitable flag for defensive holding. I predict this game will be comical from a "fabricated penalty" perspective.

This game feels like the Seattle game earlier this year. Everyone worried about what a solid Seattle team "could" do against us, and we came out & punched them in the mouth. We'll do the same to Denver.

The Browns saga is only going to get better when Shedeur Sanders pulls an Eli & tells the Browns not to draft him at #2. They'll draft him anyway, he'll force a trade, and the Browns still won't have a QB.

One of my favorite Kyle memories was that video where he whooped Marshawn Lynch in a swimming race. Awesome athlete & a great character.

The Saints are in Cap hell, as usual, Carr has probably 1 more year, draft too late to get a QB, and have an awful lot of needs. Their next coach will have a very tough time turning around that situation in a year or 2. I can't see an up-n-comer like Brady viewing that as the right opportunity.

There will always be stupid teams who sign WRs to crazy deals. A few years ago, nobody would've believed a team would ever give a QB a fully guaranteed contract, and here we are...

The chance that Brady would take the Jets job if offered are very low, there's little chance for success there (for any coach) & he'd likely be there 2 years tops before being viewed as another failed hotshot coordinator & end up having to be an OC again. If/when Brady leaves, it'll be for a good opportunity with either a QB in place or the draft picks to get one. I think the Saints job is slightly better than the Jets, but they have no QB or means to get one either. Once Ben Johnson is a HC somewhere next year, Brady will be the top offensive candidate on the board & have a much better chance at the right opportunity. I hope Brady declines an interview for a Jets job he doesn't want, & just focuses on this week's game.

Von Miller needs 1 sack for $1.5 million

The NFL won't change a sack ruling on their own. A player can challenge the ruling if they think they should get credit, but no teammate will do that to Von. -
I haven't watched the Pats/Rams Superbowl game since it aired. The Pats may have known what plays were being run due to cheating, but if I remember correctly, NE went into a Dime & flooded the zones. The Rams could have run the ball more & forced them to adjust, but Martz was too arrogant to change & thought his passing system could thrive vs anything. They had Marshall Faulk, so it probably would've worked. I saw an interview with Martz years back & he basically said the same thing.

I don't want the Pats getting the #1 pick either, but at least there's not a superstar QB prospect this year. Nobody is giving up 3 1st rounders for Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders. I could see maybe a team at #3 or #4 giving their first & 2 seconds to move a couple spots. Still a nice haul, but not like what Cleveland gave up for Watson.

Week 18, Bills v. Cheats, PREDICT THE SCORE!
947 replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
20-17, good guys. I have a feeling we'll just run up the middle every 1st & 2nd down, and have Mitch throw short of the sticks on 3rd. It's gonna hard to put up 30 points running a preseason offense. -
Barry Sanders & Brett Favre were co-MVPs in 1997. I hadn't thought about the voters making a split this year, but it has happened before.
-
Instead of starting the game playing a pre-season Defense and falling into a hole, how about we start the game aggressively & then play pre-season D in the 2nd half when the game is already decided & the Jets have mentally quit?
-
Dorian was wearing a Gronk-style elbow brace, so it must be in pretty bad shape. But if he can keep playing in it as well as he did yesterday, he's our 2nd best LB.
-
I'll second Dorian. Why the heck is Spector ever in the game?
-
I'll take the win, but it feels like I just got kicked in the nuts.

Week 16, Cheats v. Bills, PREDICT THE SCORE!

31-17, good guys -
He's had 3 games to "work back into game shape" & he still looked as bad today as he did the first game back. He's standing flat-footed in coverage & not getting into passing lanes. He's getting burned by RBs in the open field. He did recover a fumble today, and had a nice TFL last week, but I'm sadly gonna have to say he's washed.

Milano looks like hot poo. He's just standing there

Goff is not a very good QB, he's less talented than all of the skill players on Detroit's offense. I watched the Lions last week and every pass Goff throws is a wobbler, they showed slo-mo replays of 5+ of them & every one looked like a duck. The team still catches most of them & makes plays anyway, but that doesn't make Goff a great QB. He has zero MVP-level skills. If they award Goff an MVP, it will truly be a team award.
