  1. Gabe was great on that play, until... he seemingly intentionally runs directly into the nearest tackler. Even if he doesn't have the speed to outrun the other tacklers, he gets another 10 yards minimum if he just runs away from the inside tackler instead of into his waiting arms. I was watching the game with my son who is a HS QB. As that play happened, we both looked at each other & simultaneously said that looks just like something one particular receiver on his team constantly does. The kid is a decent WR, but almost never gets YAC. He tries some stupid cutback, runs right into a tackler & gets dropped, that stuff doesn't work with average speed. It's infuriating, just run toward the damn daylight.
  2. I think Dorian is playing much faster than Bernard did as a rookie. Rookie Bernard looked slow, like he was processing everything before reacting. He's a totally different player now, that's why it was such a surprise when he became an overnight sensation. Dorian is making mistakes, but he plays fast, hopefully a sign of a very bright future.
  3. The 12 personnel clearly didn't work the way they expected. But why do we even need to feature 2 TE sets? Our offense works best in a Spread. Kincaid clearly needs to be on the field almost every play, and he isn't really a true TE anyway. Use Kincaid as a slot & Knox at TE, call it 11-personnel, profit. Shakir comes in for 4-WR sets & takes some of Gabe's reps in 2 or 3-WR sets.
  4. Josh's issue is not physical, it's 100% mental. He may still be managing some pain, but pain doesn't make him decide to target a double-covered 5'6" receiver on deep balls. He's made every throw possible the past few games, so that isn't the issue. It's the 3-4 really bad decisions per game that is the problem.
  5. Rasul Douglas better be active, he has the size to handle Chase. If we get a steady stream of Dane 10 yards off Chase, it'll look like the playoff game.
  6. As a fellow out-of-towner, I took my 2 sons to their 1st game vs Atlanta in January 2021. Sons were 12 & 14 at the time, I hadn't been to a home game in several years & expected it to be much more raucous than it ended up being. We walked around throughout the tailgates & went into the stadium pretty early. We also got out of there immediately after the game to head to the airport. I didn't see any crazy behavior at all, no fights and not a single boobie. During the game was a pretty calm atmosphere too, nobody was screaming f-bombs or anything. There was a random guy next to me with his 8yr old kid at his first game too, zero issues. We had seats in the 12th row on the 45yd line, so that probably helped avoid the riff-raff. The fact that it was 10 degrees also probably helped keep the atmosphere more tame. I'd suggest getting good seats, the cheaper the seats, the more sloppy drunks you'll encounter.
  7. Steelers D is a lot better than the Atlanta D that Levis feasted on last week. I know Minkah is out, but their pass rush is legit & they'll throw enough coverage wrinkles to bring Levis back down to earth. Can the Steelers score on offense though?
  8. Now can we make these 2 new additions active this week, in arguably our biggest game so far this year? Or will McD make them sit 3 weeks while they learn the playbook?
  9. We just need to hope Hailee Steinfeld doesn't find an ultrasound pic at 2am the night before the game, and we'll be all good.
  10. Adams half-assed his route on 4th & 10 and never got open, leading to Jimmy G holding the ball & getting sacked for the 19th time tonight & essentially sealing the game. He also had a big drop on 3rd down from his own goal line early in the game. Then he slams his helmet. As good as he can be, I'm pretty sure Beane will not be calling the Raiders.
  11. I was in Cincy over the summer & had chili at Skyline twice, it's actually good stuff. I bought some canned skyline chili to bring home, still have a couple in my pantry.
  12. Collinsworth back in Cincy? Hide all the underage girls.
  13. Funny how there's no bridge to get to the stadium. Are we supposed to swim across then climb the falls?
  14. I think Bates could be the answer. He looked good at Center last year.
  15. Bills- 27 Pats- 13
  16. Lynch is literally openly smoking a blunt during half of his interview with Sharpe, I'm guessing it was filmed in his house. He seems quite blazed throughout & gets incoherent at times, I gave up. He didn't talk about Buffalo in the parts I saw, but he did say some other things that seemed far-fetched. He probably wasn't in the frame of mind to accurately recall anything. There are clips of the interview on YouTube. I had a hard time following along & gave up watching.
  17. Renfrow is interesting. He'd be a perfect addition, but $13M this year & again next year isn't going to work. He had 103 catches in 2021, along with 1000+ yards & 9 TDs. After the season, the Raiders sign him to a $32M 2-year deal. Then he had 36 catches last season, and only 6 this year. He's played only 42% of snaps this year, and only 7 snaps in the Raiders win over the Pats yesterday. I'm sure they'd love to trade him, but that contract is crazy.
  18. The dude is like 5'8" 310lbs, he isn't a 1T. If we force him into that role, we'll see more of those long runs like the Barkley Trap plays. He's a backup-level rotational DT. I'd be on board with exploring the trade market for a true 1T.
  19. I came to say Elam also. I think we'll see an INT & a big play. I think he's due, and the matchup can't get much easier.
  20. If Josh had said "no comment", that would lead to more speculation that he & Diggs were at odds, it would be front page news on ESPN (just below the daily Taylor Swift article). Saying what Diggs was really mad about makes it a non-issue & hopefully leads to less BS questions about their relationship in the future.
  21. Allen was not the problem in the Jags game, he was actually great for the vast majority of the game. You can't blame Josh for the early drive-killing drops on good passes, or the asinine run plays that kept putting us in 3rd & long. The Jets game though, yeah that's on him.
  22. Daquon is a humongous loss. The only silver lining is that he won't cost as much to re-sign, he was on track for an all-pro season. We need to extend him this offseason.
  23. I am picking Gabe as well. I think Diggs' huge game last week buys him extra attention & Gabe will benefit greatly from that. 7 catches, 101 yards, 2 TDs.
  24. I'm around Bears fans all the time. I told everyone who was excited about the signing that they'd hate Edmunds within a few games. They resisted for a few weeks because he had some good tackle numbers, but it seems now he's almost universally hated by the fans. The thing that Bears fans are mostly mad about, is that they could've kept Roquan Smith for roughly the same money they paid Edmunds. They want the GM's head.
