Pisa was talking about leaving the Rams losing team....at no point did he mention or imply the Bills here. ”Just the chance to be on a winning team is worth it to me,” Tinoisamoa said this week, according to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Sun-Times. ”I’ve been fortunate to get paid in this league, and that was good, but I still had to go home a loser. I’d give all the money back if I could win again. …

Road to AFC East runs through....

Me too Borat. -
I wanted the Bills to sign him. I don't dislike Ellison, but Pisa would have been an upgrade IMO. If the guy wants to split time on a one year contract and maybe make the playoffs, more power to him. I guess opening day starter on a quality NFL defense isn't what he was looking for. Best of luck Pisa.

Schobel played in 5 games and had 1 sack before his injury. Denney and Kelsay combined for 6 sacks in 2008. Ellison doesn't rush the passer very often....It's a Tampa cover 2 scheme. Mitchell had 4 sacks in '08 and rushed the passer quite a bit more than the other LB's. http://www.buffalobills.com/team/team-stats.html I don't think adding a 35 year old DE turned OLB turned DE again player is going to help the Bills in 2009. I have nothing against the guy, but I don't think he's a fit here.

Jason Peters Pass-Blocking Skills
SteamRoller67 replied to bourbonboy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah right.... So what you're saying is O-line coach Jim McNally didn't "make" Jason Peters? He took an overweight tight end, with limited blocking skills and turned him into a pro bowl left tackle. McNally was as good as it gets. -
He turns 35 in August. Long in the tooth for a pass rushing DE. I'm not sure when Parcells converted him to a 3-4 OLB (around 2004?), but his numbers as a standard 4-3 DE from 2003 and earlier are very pedestrian. Vince Young's Latest Statement Hints At
SteamRoller67 replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hopefully the NFL QB trend of drafting athletes that can run is dead. The NFL is a passing league.....it has been since the early 80's. I'm tired of watching guys who can run like a deer, but throw a simple out 3 yards wide and at the WR's feet. -
You're talking about a 3-4 pass rush LB and and the Bills need a 4-3 cover 2 LB. That's a big difference in ability and the requirement of the defensive scheme.

early reports from neutral sources

2 issues...both of them defensive. T. McGee should be rated above McKelvin. Not sure why Pete thinks Leodis is the number 1 corner in Buffalo Schobel is 27th? I know the guy was injured, but there are not 26 pass rushers better than him in football. -
Things looking better for signing Pisa

Yeah... NFL Sunday ticket for 7 years.... -
Well said. That is my feeling about 2008 as well.

anyone else excited to see this new O-Line?!?!

I second that. The Bills o-line was huge, but couldn't push a pile to save their @ss. -

He's 2nd rate alright....135 tackles worth of 2nd rate. Have you seen him play? He's all over the field. Granted he's not Lance Briggs, but don't call him 2nd rate that's just irresponsible. -
The Cowboys Are Shopping Greg Ellis

He played for the Jets and Cowboys...both 3-4 defenses. -
Is Vick really THAT bad?
SteamRoller67 replied to SouthGeorgiaBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You're garbage. You obviously condone violence. Did you get beat up a lot growing up? Holy mommy and daddy issues! You need to stop and re-think your entire existence. That's the most irresponsible, idiotic post I've ever read on The Stadium Wall. Now i know why I don't travel south of Tennessee.... -

When a defensive player hits the market, you need to determine if he's a 3-4 LB hybrid player or 4-3 DE or OLB. There's a huge difference. Ellis can't play the OLB spot in a 4-3 and he's not suited for DE in a 4-3. The Bills will have zero interest in him. He's a 3-4 player only at this point in his career. -
Who killed someone and still plays in the NFL??? Please stop comparing hunting to dog fighting. Vick is a convicted felon....convicted. Not accused of something or tased in a parking lot. He didn't get drunk and piss in the bathroom sink at a bar. He was convicted on a state and federal level. He funded a dog fighting network....raised them, fought them, killed them, profited from their death. If the Bills want to bring in felons, more power to them. I have no interest in supporting a Bills rehab team in any way, shape or form.

Vick - Should the Bills Pursue
SteamRoller67 replied to Coach55's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great post, except he DID go to jail. Are you going to pretend he didn't go to jail and not take an NFL snap in 2 years? I would take Plaxico too, before he shot his thigh. Travis Henry too, before he knocked up 9 women and sold coke. He can go on with his life....in the CFL. Oh, that's right, he probably can't cross the Canadian border.... -

Did I say criminals? I clearly stated CONVICTED FELON. Not sure what type of work you do, but legit businesses in the US do not hire convicted felons. -

He would help win games....but, I'll take 10-6 and fighting for our playoff lives with TE over selling Buffalo's soul to the national media devil and going 12-4 with a convicted felon. -
Cows...are you kidding me? Do you have a pet cow? Did you ever hear a cow called "man's best friend"? If this is an "accepted" activity, the community, in it's whole.....is not worth living in. By the way, nobody said he couldn't make a living like a million other ex-cons. He lost his priviledge to play in the NFL as far as I'm concerned.

Not only the sticker for me. I no longer support the Bills if this happens....no more season tickets, no more jersey sales, no more turning the TV on Sunday to watch for me. I could care less if everyone else just looks past his dog killing empire, but doing a couple years in prison doesn't do it for me. I'm tired of hearing "he paid his debt to society" and "give him a second chance". OK, I will...the Tim Horton's in my neighborhood is hiring. So is McDonalds. Plenty of honest job opportunities out there for second chance folks. QB for the Buffalo Bills should not be one of them.
