  1. woods is pretty invisible as well IMO
  2. not all 53 guys on the team can be starters. I guess Nigel has to sit until his number gets called. He made the team, that is already a significant achievement. he needs to do it just one more time to qualify for his pension.
  3. Poor fool. If only he had not cut someone head off and killed another also, I would be much more sympathetic. .
  4. valid note. Brown is making money for Cordy, game by game.
  5. most people outside the locker room suspect Byrd is dogging it and could have played, the last few weeks. I am sure inside the locker room the feeling is the same. they are pros so they keep quiet, but there must be some resentment building I would think.
  6. a bit ridiculous your theory. this is not the 'win one for the gipper' age. these guys and almost everyone you know, in any field, have their minds on the money, nowadays, to the near exclusion anything else. they do NOT go to war together by the way. ask someone who has been to a war they will tell you different.
  7. maybe he should have waited until 100 % before signing then
  8. a one-legged Trufant would have fared better that Rogers last weekend
  9. I assume they mean to coach these guys up during the week and have them be good by next Sunday? otherwise, why did we sign no-one yesterday for these positions? seeing as we have no-one currently manning the spots. I mean we do... but we don't really. I really hope they get someone else and do it now so they have a few days to practice and learn the terminology. Brown and Rogers are just too awful to contemplate seeing more of.
  10. whether they let him or not, he did that anyway.
  11. I can't say I would utilize my leverage the same way were I Parker. carrington had a decent year last year, but he was not starting I don't think. I guess the extension, reflecting that reality, was no great shakes. Still, he could have put some incentive clauses in there I am sure. yep, Eugene did Carrington no favors.
  12. you can't really expect players with minimal educations (lets face it when you are on the team the classes are a lot easier) and very young people also, to be strong and savvy enough to make these multi-million dollar decisions. they pay an agent to advise them, and the smart ones then do what the agent says. say what you want about Parker, he does not leave many pennies on the table, ever, for his clients.
  13. with few exceptions they are all just mercenaries. of course. some are happy some unhappy. but they will all switch sides without even thinking about it, for a dollar more, and i would guess that far less than half of them really care THAT much if they win or lose, except the play-offs offer more opportunities to pick up a check. certainly a lot of fans care a whole lot more.
  14. Geno threw 2 picks despite little pressure. he is no automatic saviour. EJ threw none despite a ton of pressure. Geno got the w, though. 1-0 Geno, so far. in theory this was the first of many head to head meetings between these two rookies. Let's hope so because that would mean EJ was good enough to hold the job long term. by no means a foregone conclusion.
  15. don't know what happened with Lori who truly was a great and knowledgable poster. I remember when Tim Graham left the board though, it was weak and lame and whiny. see ya!
  16. had a pretty good run for a white boy playing RB.....
  17. maybe his wrist was more injured than indicated last year and it affected his play more than we thought. Clearly he is not phoning it in this year with his massive contract (as it appeared maybe was the case last year).
  18. so he helped to win one, and contributed heavily to a lost one for us, more or less. 8-8? I love Stevei but as teh game wears on I hope to see more of Woods
  19. the upcoming game will tell the story - Geno vs. EJ. If the Bills made the right choice will be evident in the head to head.
  20. I never saw Legursky play with Pitt, was he good? I thought he was a back-up there?
  21. we really had no choice, we had to franchise one or the other. LEvitre always did say he was going to test the FA market, we chose to frachise Byrd instead. :Levitre wanted to leave, that simple. He could have signed a long term deal the prior summer IIRC, and preferred to play and risk injury, through the last year of his contract, to get to FA. He did play, and never missed a game for the Bills I don't think. I do not think the FO did anything wroing in the case of Levitre, he was willing to risk the last year of his contract to get free, and then he was free. In the case of Byrd I actually also like the FO stance. If Byrd would man up and suit up (like Levitre did), it would be better, of course.
  22. hmm. ok. Don't gt it but, up to you. BKK thailand, baby! You should visit sometime. quality of life is very high here, the states just cannot compare.
  23. must be an awful feeling, to have an owner that wants to win.
  24. yup. and Lynch's transgressions were immature, sure, but nothing too bad. He does not seem like a criminal at all, never really did, in my eyes. just a young cat with plenty of bank. He is no Aaron Hernandez by any stretch. But we have had good RB production also since the trade. It was lame, but we at least did not have to pay for it with bad RB play. unless you count having to draft Spiller in the first round as a result, as bad. Now that CJ is performing, I am thinking this was not as bad as it could have been. Maybe we should have goeten a 2nd instead of a 4th.
