Nice.
Skooby,
I am ready when every they call. I come cheap $100,000 a year and a radio show on WGR.If we win the Super Bowl a One million Bonus and a raise.
-
I would sign T.O. to a 3 year extention at 3years & 15 million & a signing bonus of 5 million. I would then Look at our scouting dept and find out what has happened the last 8 years. I would hire Dick Lambeu, as a Defensive consultant away from the Steelers. I would also hire a new conditioning specialist, the trainer who developed P90X. I would attempt to increase the amount of draft picks to build the Off/def lines for the future. The Offensive system of the K-gun would be installed with the hiring of Mike Martz as the O.C. and keep him in check. I would hire Greg Gabriel from the Bears as an assistant of Football Operations. Russ would go back to the Marketing dept. I would Keep D.J. for some stability for now. i would have also hire Ken Hull to coach the offensive line , strictly.
-
Hire Turner Gill as head coach.
PTR
Good call, i like it.

The LT position can be dealt with using the K-gun quick drop backs by using a three step drop and rolling tohe QB out to the right could help.

The division game count more than most, without those wins no playoffs. We must win the division and the rest of the 10 games can be split and we would most likely enjoy football in january.
-
This is no difference than Cleveland and Buffalo and about the same distance. It may work, I don't think the NFL belongs outside the USA, the north has their product and we have ours. Keep the NFL in America only, their is plenty of money. players hate getting paid in Canadian coin or pesos for that matter.

Sign Owens to a 3 extension no for 3 - 15 million and 3 million signing bonus.. Do it now and actually save money on this kind of deal...
-
I agree, most people don't understand how important stopping the pass is in the playoffs & specail teams. Good post.
-
I would have him gain 20-30 pounds and work on his blocking and convert him to a TE ...

I think Johnson gets the nod due to Hardy's injury but after Hardy comes back it will be up to Stevie to hold on and prove he belongs there. If that goes well I believe he will be T.O's replacement next year.
Johson , will be a beast this season he will either be the 3 or 4th receiver.

I think it's a legitimate point. I've noted since they hired Kollar that the only thing he excelled at was screaming at guys. When he was with the Rams, he blew thru a bunch of first round picks (Damione Lewis, Jimmie Kennedy, Ryan Pickett) and they did not do squat. Pickett seemed to come around, but only AFTER Kollar left. There was a reason that McCargo went in the first round. He has talent. Indy thought enough to trade for him. Not a lot. But he flunked the physical.
I personally believe McCargo will have a very nice year. And Stroud, Williams, Johnson, Schobel, et. al...they will improve. The new picks will make us better.
The new DL coach was Green Bay's defensive coordinator. I think he'll make them a better team.
Kollar ruined a bunch of first rounder in th epast, they all are still playing, Lewis & Pickett are starting?kennedy was a bust.

I would pony up a 3 and a 5 as well for Henderson, and sign him to 3 years. Henderson-Stroud with Williams-Johnson-McCargo depth.
I would agree send them send them a 4th round pick in 2010 and throw in Ellison, slow-poke Hardy..
-
I guess I just don't see it, but can someone explain how the d-line coach can make McCargo suck? I feel like the whole "adding a new coach will make McCargo better" is just an idea us fans are clinging to as a last hope about the career of our former 1st round pick.
This is the NFL, not high school. You don't like your d-line coach? Tough. It isn't about that. It's about your damn job. You go out there and compete the best you can no matter what. The whole d-line coach thing just doesn't make sense to me. If McCargo wanted to give an effort, he would have.
Have you ever had a boss you didn't like or they didn't like you in return. A player just can't quit, he is stuck with that team, maybe this was the situation with McCargo. It is hard to work for someone that doesn't like you, it also affects your attitude.
-
I too believe the DL coach was the problem . McCargo can stuff the run and played well his 2nd year showed some flashes of why he was a #1 pick he is a run stuffer that is what we want him to do. He needs to be given second chance . What do we have to lose..

To the Wilson family my condolences and our heart felt sympathy to a woman cared about this franchise. I know she is in heaven, having a cold one with Timmy Russert. Rest in Peace. This wil be tough on Mr. wilson and the whole family and the Bills organization.

We have the players or weapons bring back the high tempo K-gun, this offense limits substiutions and wears out people like fatso Wilfolk & Ferguson. Any thoughts? what are they affraid of?

We just plugged major holes in our team...look at our draft:
Maybin - best pass rushing prospect in draft
Wood - arguably top 1 or 2 C/G in draft
Byrd - one of the top S prospects in our draft
Levitre - Top G prospect in this draft
Nelson - one of top 2 or 3 TE prospects in draft (and we got him in 4th round)
Nic Harris - a very promising LB prospect
Cary Harris - Great value at DB (where we are not as deep as you all want to believe with the injury problem we have at DB every year) who was projected as a 3rd round prospect that we got in the 6th and is potential ST star in the return game if needed.
Ellis Lankster - ST star in college and a 7th round pick...
So, because you want to whine about 2 DB's in 6th and 7th, you want to completely discredit the rest of the draft? That is the dumbest thing I have seen on this board...
We got TREMENDOUS value in this draft and potentially 5 starters...only time will tell how it all works out, but we did very well in the draft based on what is known about the players right now and the fact we chose 2 DB's too end the day does NOT change that...
We got FOOTBALL PLAYERS today...guys who are gamers...on paper, this is the best draft we have had in a very long time and one of the best of any team this year...
I agree, 5 starters in one draft is excellent, They all know how to take the ball away. Last year we lacked takeaways. The Of. line will play with heart fro a change and TE has good hands.
-
Everyone is available, more or less. I think Pettigrew is the only one that's been taken, besides some guy named Richard Quinn (who I've never heard of). McShay seems to think there's going to be a run on them sooner, rather than later, though, and I think we don't pick again until #121.
Quinn was select By denver ,last pick in the second round..
-
Tremendous job in his first two years. What I like the most is he understands the signicance of the trenches which we have as organization lacked. This is why we have had the continued playoff drougth. I think in 4 years , GM of the year...
-
Get me John Henderson!
Exactly, give up next years 4th and hrow in Kelsay! Get henderson!!!
-
A. Maybin...
-
I just listen to his press confernece, he know what he is doing. He knew that the OL needed to be upgrade dand went and got some knew players. I think, his first 2 draft will benefits us down the road. I just hope we can keep Mr. Wilson alive in the meantime. We need this kind of mentality, the OL/DL line which for years have been overlooked....
-
It's not about countering per se, it's about asking yourself what you have to do to win your division. That's goal number one. In the 80s, when Polian and company asked that question, the answer was "stop Marino and Miami's passing game." That was the sole reason we went balls to the wall to get Bennett and that tipped the scales permanently in our favor. It's the same now. What do we have to do to unseat NE? Well, we have to stop their passing game. Only it's more difficult because they run 75% of it from a mulitple WR spread formation. We need DBs and pressure off the edge to counter that.
GO BILLS!!!
K-9 that is what I am talking about, take care of the division and the rest is icing on the cake..We need to kick the Patriots of the pedestal and watchoout for the Dolphin & Jets.... The Pat White pick wasn't Parcells like at all.
-
I disagree. I think it's pretty stupid to let another team in your division dictate you who draft.
If you have to "counter" what the other team does, then you might as well just let them make your draft picks for you.
Here is my point if you can win the division then you can make the playoffs. Welost all divisional games last year; Wilfolk & Ferguson destroyed us for a toal of 4 games that is 25 % of the schedule. We need to buil dour OFF. line to handle the divisional opposition. Beside People draft left tackle because of LT. so it does make sense to follow the div. rivals..
You get a phone today, Ralph has hired you as the Bills new GM
