Would anyone else perfer Landry over Luck? I think it's something to consider. I'm not sure Luck really wants to be an NFL player. His passing up a sure chance to be the #1 pick this year, espically when his head coach is leaving, makes me wonder. Plus, he plays against weaker Big 10 defenses (Big 12 D's are slightly better), and has an amazing O-Line. I'm not saying I'd take Landry over Luck, quite frankly I haven't watched much of either. Just some thoughts to throw out there. Discuss amongst yourselves!

I don't think McGee gets cut, but I see the logic in your thinking. I think the only reason he stays is because of the need for depth in our secondary. If they get more depth next year, I think he is gone. (unless he has some sort of stellar year).
-
Thanks for the well thought out, intelligent response. He actually went to the pro bowl twice. Again in 2010 as an Alternate. He holds the Giants records for receptions in a season (107). Also, those 20 more receptions do blow Johnson out of the water. He also didn't drop a game winning TD in OT. How so. Is your argument that the young guys are not unproven? What one of our starters would be the #1 receiver on a playoff team? Better yet, what #2 receiver do we have that are proven? None. This is just more of the "hope it works out" approach the Bills have taken the past 10+ years. And they are doing it again with the WR (and O line). As I said, that was a logical, well thought our reply. The rest, not so much.

That San Diego thing was the only thing that was amusing. Just put the ball on the 20 if your going to kick off from the 35. Why run a play when the result is 99% guaranteed, and the 1% that's not guaranteed (special team injuries) is the thing you are trying to stop. Either eliminate them, or have them be real kickoffs again. Not this in-between thing which could end up injuring more people.

We can. But we need a lot of luck. 1) no one on the offensive line can get injured. We lack serious quality and depth on the O-line. If someone goes down, big trouble for offense will ensue. 2) Fitz needs to repeat last years success. I don't think this will be a problem with Gailey. 3) WR's need to step up. We need another one to emerge besides Johnson. I think this happens. I like Donald Jones. 4) The biggest question of them all: Can the defense stop other teams from running on us, and converting 3rd downs. If this happens, even if 1-3 don't work out perfectly, I think we at least hit 500. We put up enough points to win a few more games last year that the defense blew. If the defense can improve, and the offense improves slightly (Spiller, time to step up!) we break .500 and make a wildcard run.

I'm sorry. That's terrible. Perhaps the grandkids won't pick up the bad habbit your daughter did.

It better be a starter on O line and a mid round draft pick. If "substantial" is simply a mid-round pick, I'm going to be disgusted w/ this front office.
-
I hope they extended him to a long term deal. That will help the D line and LB's. Also, there is no team salary floor this year, it's a league team average floor. So the Bills can spend as little as they want this year.

http://www.democratandchronicle.com/articl...S03/8130322/tbd I feel bad for this guy. Not really his fault he keeps getting injured. I had high hopes for him when he was drafted. Hopefully this injury is really only a week to ten days and he stays injury free the rest of the year. It would be nice to get an actual look at him. He had a great TD catch in one of the few games he played his rookie season.

I'd recommend rib pads to protect against hits from the side. for some reason they are not standard football equipment, but were very helpful when i played. You can actually buy lacrosse rib pads (esp. when the players are only 10 as the hitting is not as severs) as they are less bulky than the football pads generally worn by QB's.
-
Agreed. Not a bad though that we should trade him now, but I think he needs to play well this season and then he might have some trade value next year. Right now, he's worth more here than being traded for a second tier OT.
-
Pride aside, getting a high draft pick generally is more harmful than helpful. You pay out tons of money to a player who has a significant chance of not being worth the money you paid him. Hopefully the next CBA fixes this, but right now getting a high draft pick is generally not worth the money you pay.

Good luck to him. Perhpas someday J. Russell will have a turnaround and realize his amazing potential.

Time to see how these sun-belt rookies handle snow
RyanC882 replied to The Senator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hold on there cowboy. You don't know what my position on this issue is. All my prior statement said is that you shouldn't be making up that no scientists disagreed with your opinion. In fact, no one is disagreeing that the climate is changing, it's always changing and always has been, in fact, it has been changing long before humans were on the earth. The only thing that's absurd is how people like you make up facts (see your prior statement) and then consider debate about the causes of the climate change to be closed. Was the earth flat when every nation on the earth believed it to be flat? Just because certain governments claim that climate change is man made does not make it so. No one denies climate change: may respected scientists say the climate is getting hotter, many colder, many claim the cause is man made, many state it is due to solar cycles. As stated before, climate change happened long before humans were around, and simply arguing that those who disagree with you are idiots who lack any scientific basis simply because governments hold a certain view is absurd. Like I said, you don't know my views on this subject, but you should debate with those you disagree with on actual scientific facts, not on the basis of name calling of claiming superiority in the number of governments who agree with your point of view. -

That's not true. Please actually check your supposed "facts" before posting them. Actually, there is a quite distinguished list of international scientists who disagree with Al Gore's theory of global warming. They include: Timothy Ball, Professor of Geography, Univ of Winnipeg, Robert Carter, Geologist at the Marine Geophysical Laboratory in Australia, and Vincent R. Gray, chemist from the New Zealand Climate Science Coalition. So, if your going to have a debate about global warming, fine. But don't try to tip the scales of such debate by using a blatantly false "fact" such as the one you just set-forth above. -
To all who think Ralph is behind the smoking policy, my guess is that its a New York State law regarding where people can smoke in stadiums.
-
Yep same here. I don't want to inhale second hand smoke, and think smoking is a ridiculous, money wasting idea, but if you want to do it, I’m all for your right to. They should have designated smoking areas, but they should be nicer than the zoo pens they make most smokers go to. And btw, whoever is comparing car exhaust in traffic and cigarette smoke is way off base. Those pollutants put off different chemicals and cigarette smoke is MUCH worse, even second hand.

Yeah, Steve Smith of Carolina is only 5'9'' and an absolute bust. Glad our big boys like Hardy are so much better. What happened to Nix not wanting to draft more Maybins (one year wonders?)

Nelson will have a pro bowl season!
RyanC882 replied to Lenigmusx's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like Nelson, and Jauron's terrible O didn't get him involved enough. Will be nice to see an offense that attacks the D. I also think Stupar will be a suprise. He also has the abiltiy to catch the ball. -
Bills can make the playoffs this year

I'll have some of what you're smoking -
No way we get Adams or Gaithers now. The LT tackle position was in need of a huge upgrade, yet in two consecutive drafts we fail to address the position. I'm not sure how Gailey plans to use CJ with no line to run behind. They should have addressed this in FA or the draft.

I agree. Also, I've run into him around Pittsburgh a few times and always found him to be a nice, down to earth guy. I also know people that live in his neighborhood, and every year he throws a neighborhood party and invites all the children from around the neighborhood. But publishing a story about that wouldn't really fit with the media's current angle, would it?
-
+1. There is a time to forgive and move on. Teams that are passing him over are cowards.

Has to be Dan Williams.

Who will be the pick in Round 2?
RyanC882 replied to loyalbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Same, also add Cam Thomas to that list.
