  1. I didn't say FERPA covered covered this. I mentioned FERPA as a law that protected "test score secrecy". However, once again the NFL has said wonderlic scores are not suppose to be publicized. I remember specifically reading about how the NFL has safeguards in place to protect that information. In addition, I understand that there are suppose to be penalties if teams let that information out into the public. Bus Cook, an NFL agent, in a interview today said the same thing. If that is true, then intentional tort laws in the category of invasion of privacy and false light do cover this. I do not know the circumstances behind "why" the NFL has the policy. I would assume like you, that it is due to courtesy or embarrassment. Or maybe event in cases like MO Claiborne, it is designed to protect players with learning disabilities from dealing with the topic in the public. There have been a decent amount of players with learning disabilities to play in the NFL, most recently - Ellis Lankster (Bills draft pick). As to the CBA or NFLPA not covering them.... aren't they covered under the CBA once they hire an agent and declare for draft eligibility? I was under that impression. I may be wrong though?
  2. It's amusing you find it "ok" to insult or poke fun of someone with a disability. Then someone who has morals and speaks out against it (pretty darn proud I had real parents who disciplined me that way) you decide to give that person a hard time. But the only comebacks you have is to find a typo and spell check error and poke fun at the person with moral dignity. You honestly have no life Mr. San Jose Bills Fan.
  3. I was called out? He asked if there was any laws that protect test score secrecy then I answered his question with FERPA If the scores aren't suppose to be released then there has to be an amount of privacy promised to the players. His wonderlic scores were publicized along with his learning disability. You don't have to be a lawyer to figure out that is a invasion of privacy and/or false light charge.
  4. O now its the spell checker your pathetic man. Wow I added a "k" to the end of it. Notice I spelled it correct the other times I mentioned it You asked if there was a federal law to protect test score secrecy, so I named one But to be serious wonderlic scores aren't "suppose" to be released. And Im pretty certain it could translate to an intentional tort case involving invasion of privacy or false light if Claiborne's family have good lawyers. And especially in this case since Claiborne has a learning disability.
  5. Yes, the federal law to protect student test scores is FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act). The wonderlic scores get released through the media who seem to not be able to keep their mouths shut and same goes with some team front office personal. Its something the NFL needs to fix and address.
  6. Read further into my comment instead of what you want it to read as. There is a bigger moral message to what I wrote. Anyone that participates or condones insulting people because of a learning disability should receive counseling themselves. This thread was created for the sole purpose of further insulting someone who has a known learning disability. The fact that mods allow this thread to still be open only shows how ethically and morally incorrect they are.
  7. Well whichever team leaked this information out should face a penalty from the NFL... since it is illegal to make test scores public of learning disabled people
  8. Indeed man, some people are pathetic.
  9. The maturity of a bunch of people in this thread is really embarrassing. Do alittle research in the circumstances of the Claiborne case before insulting him. Grow the heck up people, some of you older people on this board are pretty darn incompetent and immature. Mo Claiborne has a known learning disability that has been known since he was a high school star. He received special help in reading and writing in both college and high school. That has not affected his play on the football field. He is a great character and a very talented CB. Also, Great defensive backs such as Darrell Revis scored a 9 on the wonderlick test and look at his play. Sean Taylor scored a 10. Patrick Peterson scored a 9. You don't need to be a genius to play CB in the NFL. Hall of Fame QB, Dan Marino scored a 14. Point is, I doubt many of these athletes care enough to seriously take the wonderlic test especially those who play positions where is doesn't really matter. Lastly, all the so called adults that made your insulting remarks in this thread should be ashamed of yourselves. God forbid that you guys have a child with a learning disability. And God forbid any of you even have children, I can sense the moral lessons you teach your children. What a shame today's society is.
  10. Are you ever going to give up on this guy? You posted this same topic 7 years ago: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/21454-olaf-pillar/
  11. Is that you Trent? Didn't realize you were a Bills fan! In all seriousness. He is a great talent. We have too many other needs though man (LT, WR2, OLB, CB and backup OL and OLB)
  12. I feel sorry for the person that believes a rumor from Incarcerated Bob and thinks its legit. If there was any traction from it, ESPN, NFLN or FOX Sports would have reported a story like this.
  13. 100% agree. No way he gets passed St. Louis, Jacksonville, or Miami. I'd be in complete shock
  14. http://www.nepatriotsdraft.com/dougs-2012-nfl-mock-draft/ If this happens I will have a heart attack from all the excitement. Blackmon is not only a great WR but a even better person. This would be my dream pick, hes my favorite overall player in this draft.
  15. I dream of him falling to the Bills in round 3. Really like him. But the combine help improve his status to the 2nd round. Hes my 2nd favorite defender in this draft after Courtney Upshaw
  16. Does anyone think that if we were to draft David DeCastro that maybe Andy Levitre will play LT? He got experience at LT last season and looked like he could be good, maybe after a off season of playing the position? Levitre - DeCastro - Wood - Urbik - Pears Also, we need to find a backup center in the draft or FA and maybe another backup guard.
  17. Agree with you 100%. But this is how I am thinking: Claiborne is the best CB in this draft. He is worthy of a top 3, and its Minnesota's biggest need. Minnesota did sign LT Geoff Schwartz who was coached by Minnesota's OLine coach in Carolina. The other CB prospects: Jenkins has character issues and can be extremely lazy, if he didn't have those issues then hes a top 15 pick. Kirkpatrick isn't a true shut down corner, hes a big hitter and like Jenkins has major character concerns. After those 3 CB's, I would be surprised if another CB is anything better than a nickel CB next year. So to me Claiborne makes sense, they failed to sign a top CB in FA and they need one to make an impact immediately. To me Claiborne is the only guy that fits that description. I can see Kalil going past Minnesota because of that and they did sign a guy that can play LT. After that, I don't see another team that would draft him before us (all of them are good LT's): Cleveland has Joe Thomas, Tampa Bay has Donald Penn, St. Louis has Rodger Saffold, Jacksonville has Eugene Monroe, Miami has Jake Long, and Carolina has Jake Gross I just don't see any of them drafting Matt Kalil. One of the teams could trade their pick and a team needing a LT jumps in to grab Kalil. But if Minnesota passes on him, the only way I believe Kalil doesn't make it to us is if someone trades into the top (Which I don't make up trades in my mock draft, lol). St Louis has Rodger Saffold, pretty solid and drafted in 2010 (2nd round)
  18. They are young above average linemen that are grooming into studs. that's what it is meant to read to say. St Louis wants a WR. They have used 2 high picks on OT's the past 3 years in Jason Smith (RT) and Rodger Saffold (LT)... Another starting Tackle is not needed in St Louis. Also, Cleveland I just don't think Cleveland will pass up on the opportunity to land a RB with pick 4. They have a big need at RB. Unless they were to only move down a few picks.
  19. Draft is always full of surprises They did sign a LT in Geoff Schwartz who has shown some promise (starting 19 out of 32 games in his short career) and was also coached by the Vikings O-Line coach in Carolina.
  20. spoken like a child admitting defeat Have a good night buddy.
  21. LMAO, what? you obviously didn't read anything. do yourself a favor and learn to read and comprehend I use reasoning for each pick if you know how to read you could see that. Again, use logic and reasoning before attacking someone else's post edit: also, I wouldn't waste my time with two accounts. Get a life dude. go be an a** somewhere else
  22. Why would they when they have two young above average studs. Donald Penn at LT and Jeremy Trueblood at RT? They have huge holes at OLB and could use DL help. Only position on O-Line the Bucs truely could use he;p with is Center.
  23. Seems like posters here cannot post with logic and reasoning. Backup your claims with reasoning, then you may have a valid point.
  24. I'm not "dreaming" As of right now, this is how I can see the draft playing out based on my analysis. Please use logic and reasoning when posting, I backed up my opinions with reasoning. You should try as well. Because you can't back up your claims, your comment is void.
  25. That's your opinion, as you would agree with 95% of other people. I personally believe Claiborne is a top 3 talent as well and Minnesota as a greater need at CB. Also, please don't quote entire text. It covers too much space
