I love summer and don’t mind the heat, but when the humidity is choking it’s just unbearable. We don’t have a pool, but we’re within a 30 minute drive of about 20 places to go swimming/kayaking. I guess I prefer spring and fall weather with the more comfortable temps, but I try to take advantage of everything summer has to offer. I built a huge back deck, and the shade back there is perfect starting at around 4pm. We typically host lots of BBQ get togethers in the summer time. I love to entertain friends. Yeah, summer is cool.

I agree with the bolded, but jails and prisons are full of people who didn’t “intend” to commit crimes. Stupid choices lead to harsh outcomes sometimes. I don’t think that these police officers should be prosecuted “to the fullest extent of the law,” but they should have appropriate consequences based on a fair investigation.

Ummm, if they felt he was breaking the law, the police could have safely placed him under arrest. Especially given that he was an elderly man. No need to push or shove at all. That was a stupid decision. I agree that the actions of he police was not egregiously violent or out of line, however, the outcome was horrible. This could have been avoided with some simple common sense.

I don’t have a problem with anything he said. He didn’t criticize anyone for kneeling, rather he described what standing for the national anthem means to him. He’s going to get lamb basted for this, but undeservedly, IMO.

Nice get here! Not exactly a huge physical presence right away...but he instantly becomes our best scoring big man. ??

4* 2020 (reclassified) Center, Frank Anselem, to make his decision tomorrow (Wed). Down to Syracuse, Georgia, New Mexico, and San Diego St. Looks like Cuse is the favorite right now, but who knows. Waiting to hear back from “sources” and I’ll share anything I learn. 6’10” 220...fairly polished offensive game. Would be a really good get for Cuse. https://247sports.com/PlayerInstitution/Frank-Anselem-at-Prolific-Prep-233290/CurrentExpertPredictions/

Still Taking a Vacation this Summer?
Johnny Hammersticks replied to Halloween Land's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I have no idea if they would have or not. Glad I didn’t have to find out. I have been hearing some sketchy stories, however, about airlines/resorts giving people a hard time offering vouchers instead of refunds. -
Still Taking a Vacation this Summer?

Had to cancel our 10th wedding anniversary vacation in Jamaica. Thank goodness we went through a travel agent and purchased travel insurance. -

Coronavirus fact? We’re ***** blowing it with how people are handling the lessening of restrictions. Highest # of daily infections and hospitalizations in NC since pandemic began. Arkansas seeing a second spike, and running out of ICU beds in some cities. Several other states including Virginia, Illinois, Florida and DC seeing spikes in numbers. https://www.google.com/amp/s/fox2now.com/news/coronavirus/st-louis-county-issues-travel-advisory-after-lake-of-the-ozark-videos-go-viral/amp/ https://www.npr.org/sections/coronavirus-live-updates/2020/05/18/857943858/coronavirus-cases-surge-in-texas-panhandle-as-state-continues-to-reopen https://www.businessinsider.com/dire-coronavirus-alabama-icu-no-beds-2020-5 https://www.google.com/amp/s/thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/499322-nc-sees-coronavirus-cases-surge-in-highest-single-day-total%3famp -

Watched the movie Hostiles on Netflix. Starring Christian Bale. Kind of a dark and certainly violent movie. Was pretty solid though. Civil war officer (Bale) is tasked with escorting an imprisoned Cheyenne Indian Chief who is dying back to his home land in Montana. I thought very good acting, cinematography, and storyline. Again, some very violent parts though. -
Right on. I appreciate your candor and sense of humor. You’ll need that around here with these clowns. Glad you turned things around for the positive. Cheers, and go Bills ?
