Pretty, pretty good! I decided on Grandaddy Purple. They’re now now above my knee and stinky as hell. Should be ready to harvest and cure in early August. My “gardener” comes by once a week to check the soil, look the plants over for bugs, and then gives me a little feedback about watering and whatever else he thinks needs adjusting. I should end up with around 5 ounces.

Pizza: How Important Is the Outer Crust?
Johnny Hammersticks replied to Gugny's topic in Off the Wall
If @Jauronimo was a Care Bear, he’d have a picture of Martin Luther King Jr. eating a slice of pizza on his belly. His special power would be to succinctly describe the intricate characteristics of many different types of pizza, but then finish with an explanation of why these differences are beautiful and make ALL types of pizza wonderful and delicious regardless of the color and consistency of their crust ? ? ♥️ -
Pizza: How Important Is the Outer Crust?
Johnny Hammersticks replied to Gugny's topic in Off the Wall
Yeah, like I said. Neapolitan pizza. Typically simple ingredients such as crushed tomatoes, basil, mozz w drizzle of good olive oil. Key is heat of oven (coal or wood) and uniformity of crust “doneness.” Crust should be charred slightly, yet chewy. That’s my understanding of “Italian Style” pizza. -

What is “authentic Italian style?” You referring to New York style? Neapolitan? -

Pizza: How Important Is the Outer Crust?
Johnny Hammersticks replied to Gugny's topic in Off the Wall
The crust on the bottom is equally as important as the outer crust. If the bottom crust is not crisp and chewy, the pizza is *****. I don’t care how good the sauce/cheese/outer crust is. Everybody knows that. Get it together people. I’m guessing most of us grew up in the northeast and not in Arkansas where Dominos is 5*. Common! -

Just started watching “Hunters” on Amazon Prime. Very interesting first episode. Give it a try. -
Gugny says in a sultry manner, “I hear you are a lunch pail type player.” Augie relies, “B&@&h please.....I have a quicker first step than Aaron Maybin!” Then tender embraces...

Dog men are real. I hear them howling in my backyard at night. Be careful out there folks.

Ahhh, yes the ice wall. So do they think the earth is flat like a coin? Say for example we decided to drill straight through the earth to the other side. How long would it take us? Half a day?

COVID-19 - Facts and Information Only Topic
Johnny Hammersticks replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in Off the Wall
Pretty much every state I know of in the NE has announced that they will “open schools” in the fall. I am on the health and safety committee for the district in which I am employed (VT), so we have had ongoing discussions with CDC and state reps. Schools re-opening is very much a moving target right now. Even in Vermont, where everything is largely under control (for now), the expectation is that there will be a “blended learning” model in the fall. Although clear as mud, it sounds like kids in school part time in much smaller classes (no recess, specials, lunch eaten in the classroom, teachers move from class to class...not students), and then online learning to supplement. Even though a complete “students in the buildings” model is on the table, no one really expects that to happen. That option, IMO, was put there to placate the public. If cases spike drastically in the region, there will be remote, or online learning again until there is a vaccine. I suspect that most other states, at least in the northeast, are at a similar place. Of course, much of this is just my educated opinion so feel free to delete if needed.@Hapless Bills Fan -

A friend brings this dish every year to our Christmas Eve party. They are awesome and there are never any leftovers. She adds raisins, however, which I just pick out because raisins are gross IMO. -

I came soooooo close at a bachelor party tourney years ago. My tee shot went (inexplicably) about 80 yards straight up in the air and landed about 2 feet in front of the ladies tees. There were about 12 guys standing behind me cheering, and then booing and laughing when it landed ? -

If you don’t hit it past the ladies tee box you have to play the hole with no pants, no? -

My wife makes this chicken/broccoli/cheese stuff that she serves over mashed potatoes. All I know is that it has mayonnaise in it along with the milk and cheese. The stuff is friggin delicious. My daughter eats like a finch, and she’ll crush 2 helpings every time. We have it at least once a week during busy hockey/ski season.
