Then why wouldn’t Beane just call it a day and sit the starters tonight as well? We already have the division wrapped up and a home playoff game secured anyway. The #2 seed is very important, and the starters should play as long as there is something at stake. If there was absolutely nothing to gain, fine. Rest all the starters. Buffalo has worked to hard to lay down now and just settle for the 3 or 4 seed. What message would folding now send to the players? This take is hot garbage, IMO.

I agree with you. Securing the #2 seed is far from meaningless. Ensures two home playoff games if we win the first one. Chance to knock a division foe out of the playoffs. Less stressful, but these games are very, very important, IMO.

If my memory serves me, weren’t we missing Tre, Milano, and Hyde the last time we played NE? Wasn’t Tre Edmunds playing essentially with one arm? Our #1 CB for that game was Josh Norman. This is a completely different team that NE is going to face tonight. I expect Allen to have a huge game.

He has a few different ones, but his main one seems to be “white 80, ready-set.” You can also hear him go through a progression of “white 80,” “green 20,” “brown 80!” There’s another one he uses, seemingly when he is under center, that I can’t decipher. Here’s a good video of his snap cadences.

I don’t think JB is right here to make this public, but I did hear (FWIW) that some of the UB players were chirping at Boeheim and some of the assistants. I guess some pretty disrespectful stuff that crossed the line from “chirping” to being punk #######s. I don’t know this to be a fact. I just heard this from someone who would know. Talking smack to opposing players is part of the game...chirping at opposing coaches is just wrong. I hope they can reconcile this because Syracuse should play UB every season. It’s good for both programs.

I’d rather not play the Titans in the first round, but then again, I’m not really afraid (for the first time since forever) to play any team in the league. I think we CAN beat the Chiefs and the Packers, and I think we SHOULD beat every other team. LGO!

I hear ya, but don’t you think we’ll need Sidibe at the 5 for conference play? Dolezaj is crafty and gets by against the bigs from these smaller programs, but I think we’ll need Sidibe’s length and shot blocking ability against better ACC big men. There lies the dilemma. You want both Dolezaj and Guerrier on the floor. Guerrier could play the 3, but you want Griffin out there to stretch the defense. Good problem to have I suppose. I don’t see Girard losing his starting spot to Kadary, but JG3 will have a short leash for sure. He’s such a defensive liability.
