I watched some of this summer’s highlights. He looked much better. Looks like his frame filled out and he has more room to add muscle. Also looked much more confident and assertive as a floor general. Great handle and seems to be better at creating off the dribble. I love the commit. A lot of folks feel confident that we’ll land the 7 foot C/PF from Mass, Peter Carey. He’s gone under recruited, but has had an incredible summer. I think we’re one of maybe 2 “big school” offers he has received. There will be more before he commits anywhere. Hopefully we got in early enough on him. I’m still holding out hope for one of either JJ Starling or Chris Bunch. Both wings that can also play either guard position.

I went to my 20th in 2016, and very similar to HS, I was the coolest, best looking guy there. “Made it” with the prom queen in Principal Marshall’s office, spiked the punch, and gave some wedgies and swirlies to some nerds. Just like the ol’ days.

Candy cigarettes. There were the chalky ones with the one end dyed red, and then there were the good kind made of gum. Those had the powder stuff inside the wrapper so it kinda looked like smoke was coming out. Ahhh...those were the days.

I think we’re just fighting a war against different drugs now. Weed, cocaine/crack, and psychedelics kicked our ass, so we gave up on those ones. Now we’re very unsuccessfully fighting against the opiates. 🤔

The polio vaccine is so effective, because like smallpox, the disease has been largely eradicated. Vaccinations for things like the flu will never be 100% effective.

The wife and I are starting this tonight. Was also recommended to us this past weekend by some friends. My wife has a hard time with shows portraying violence/abuse against children, but she can handle other “creepy” stuff. Just finished season 2 of Black Summer on Netflix which was a decent watch. Goes by quickly. One of those “brain candy” shows that you can watch both seasons in 3-4 nights without staying up all night.

Loved watching Rubin work with the Avett Brothers in their documentary “Make it Last.” He’s definitely an eccentric type of dude, but one of the best record producers ever.
