If that kid thinks he is getting any of my cosmic brownies now, he is in for a rude awakening. Seriously though...here in Vermont educators just naturally assume that most parents are using/growing marijuana. It is so common. I only really get worried when I hear about "Mommy's special needles" or "Daddy's special science lab" in the garage, or the "pizza man who hides under the bed when I wake up." -

Really? Because my friend's Sister dated him briefly while he played for Carolina, and she claims that he is a raving lunatic. Stopped seeing him because she was afraid of him. I don't know for sure...just what I was told. -

We try to expose my son, who recently turned 6, to as many sports as possible. If he chooses to sign up for a sport, he has to at least finish out the season. The only "sport" he has decided not to play anymore is karate, as it became boring to him. He still plays soccer, baseball, lacrosse, and hockey. This was his first year of organized hockey, and he did quite well and has been selected to be on the travel team next year. He loves it so I am supportive. I always make sure to tell him before every practice/game "I love you....have fun and do your personal best." I have witnessed some pretty atrocious incidents at hockey practice this year. One Father in particular, who has one son that plays D-1 hockey and another on his way to prep-school to play hockey, is really hard on his youngest son to perform well. The poor kid is 8 years old, and he is not particularly coordinated or athletically gifted. He tries his best, but he is clearly not amongst the best players on his team. I have witnessed this Father verbally berating his son for playing poorly, and on several occasions has been mildly physically abusive (i.e., slap to the back of the head, kick in the butt). It really makes me feel sorry for this kid. No matter how hard he tries he will always be a "failure" in his Father's eyes based on what his siblings have accomplished. Gug's you should check out the documentary Trophy Kids on Netflix. The parents are pretty over-the-top, but it is a good illustration of what you're talking about. -

Agreed 100% I've seen JB go after the media and other coaches, but I have never seen him so blatantly attack one of his players. That conversation should take place behind closed doors (and probably already has). -

Boeheim's comments were inappropriate and stupid, but I can understand why he is not playing Roberson. JB wants him to attack the hoop and he just has not been aggressive enough. I have been very frustrated watching Roberson since the Duke game because I know he is capable of so much more offensively. Not having him out there is killing us, and in order to justify playing time he needs to put points on the board (at least attack the basket and draw fouls). -

I've never, ever hit a girl, but I would have punched that one right in the snot locker as hard as I could.

Onuaku is a beast. Pretty tough to defend against the guy with Tyler Lydon who drew him for most of the game. I was hoping this game would be a good measuring stick for Coleman's progress, but I guess he just isn't ready for whatever reason. The freshmen looked like freshmen, and Howard played significant minutes without much offense (I also think JB has him on a leash). It has been a good run, but I think this team was due for a down game, and Don Pitino know how to play Syracuse. Tough game to watch. -

Barring a major season ending collapse and an early ACC tourney departure, I think Syracuse is pretty safely off the bubble and in the NCAA's. -

I get your logic, but I just can't bring myself to cheer for Duke. It would be like French kissing my sister. I don't exactly know why, as I really respect Coach K, but I despise them. -

I always, always root against Dook. Despise them. I think it stems all the way back to the Laettner/Hurley years. Go Heels. Added bonus....I think a Dook loss could potentially result in better ACC tourney seeding for Syracuse. -
I'd have a tough time with that pick with Treadwell still in play. I just have a feeling he's gonna be a good one.

Scoreboard I actually think KJ would be a good addition for Bona. I think he's athletic enough, is a decent shooter and can certainly bring the ball up the court, but he just doesn't have the balls for playing in the spotlight. We'll send you KJ and Chino in a package deal for a case of basketballs -

He be gone next year. Transfer to Iona or some other mid-major. Kaleb was just a busted consolation prize for not landing Rysheed Jordan. Sadly, I don't think the kid has the sack to play big time college basketball. -

This morning I ripped a giant fart right in my son's face to wake him up for school. He, of course, thought it was the most hilarious thing to ever happen. This makes me happy. -

Interesting comparison. I actually saw Sims play against my high school a long time ago before he even committed to Syracuse. Was fun to see. I think at this point Frank's skill set lends itself more to playing the point. Great vision and distributor. I guess I'm just waiting for him to explode to the rim and throw one down like Dion. He seems to have similar athletic prowess. We shall see. -

Free Frank Howard! The guy reminds me of Dion Waiters. Needs more coaching and PT though. Great games for silent G and DC2 tonight. Go Orange...7th in the ACC
