  1. I actually hear what the guy's saying and I am empathetic to a degree. I think it's disrespectful, however, for him to assert that we can't be "real fans" because we are not SU alums. I think maybe it's time for bbb to start his own thread and stop crusading here. Anyway...moving on. I'm so freaking pumped!! Go ORANGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!' I need to lay off the gin and tonics and deviled eggs...haha.
  2. Yeah, Virginia is a tough, well rounded squad, and Bennett has them playing great basketball. I'm trying to remain optimistic, but this is a difficult matchup for Syracuse. I'd rather them play UNC to be honest. We'll see...
  3. If you can't handle a little bit of gentle teasing, then maybe you shouldn't frequent a Syracuse basketball thread to talk smack. Your team didn't get selected, perhaps unjustly, but then lost to a D-III team in the NIT. Grow up.
  4. Yeah. I've been fine with your presence in this thread until now. Hell, my Sister is even a Bona alum and I respect the program, but you sir can go kick rocks.
  5. The wife and I went to Cantina de Salsa when we were there this past summer. Really great little Mexican restaurant.
  6. Hmmmm. Drink the entire bottle. If you're not really, really hammered kick your roommate in the pills.
  7. Very few things are "standard" in Vermont. This is a rule that was imposed by the Vermont Principals Association; the governing body for HS athletics in the state.
  8. I guess I just have a different perception of HS sports based on my experience. The HS I went to in CNY was a state power house. We were contending for section/state titles just about every season. We beat most teams handily. But my coach preached character and class, and would never run up the score intentionally on some lowly team. Now giving 3rd/4th stringers the green light to fire away is one thing. The those kids come to practice every day, work hard, and deserve to score goals for their efforts. Calling time out with a running clock when there is 5 seconds to go (up 22 goals) so your goalie can score is classless and despicable. In HS, if my team was up more than 10 goals with 5 minutes left we would get the "red light" call from coach. Just passing....no shooting. Teaches young student-athletes good character, and shows respect for their (albeit vastly inferior) opponent.
  9. In HS lacrosse the clock keeps running once a team is ahead by 12 goals. I think it's a good thing. Last season we were playing a prep school team that was far more talented that us. With about 30 seconds left in the game, up 22 goals, the opposing coach called time out so his goalie could get an offensive stick and try to score a goal. The kid won the face off, carried the ball right down the middle of the field, and stuck a goal right in the top corner with about 5 seconds left. Insult to injury. It took a great deal of restraint to keep me from punching this coach in the face, and the turd had the colossal stones to tell me I had "no class" for refusing to shake his hand after the game.
  10. Nice! The wings are schiitt in my town. Tough first half with both teams shooting streaky. Roberson actually looks like he came to play, however, and Malachi is looking like a force, per usual. Live and die by the three...not a good formula for success in the tourney.
  11. Free Frank Howard!!!!!
  12. When I was a kid I had this movie on VHS. I wore that tape out. Great movie. And the lady in Vision Quest is totally 80's smokin hot. Edit: Bananarama - Cruel Summer The Karate Kid
  13. Why are we even talking about Bona? Don't we have a game tomorrow? I don't know much about Dayton other than what read in a PS article. Not a lot of size and not a great shooting team from what I saw. Anyone know anything about them? I am so pumped because I managed to keep my work schedule clear for tomorrow. Got a 4 pack of Heady Topper I've been saving for a week (that is really hard to do), and a few Cuban cigars I smuggled back from the Dominican. Life is good. Go Cuse!!
  14. Isn't Chris Jones the guy whose donger fell out running the 40 at the combine? I can't get that image out of my head... No thanks.
  15. aholes? Take it easy man. I was just joking around. Sorry your team lost.
  16. I love it when it rains really hard outside while you are taking a nap.
  17. Well, making it to the sweet 16 would be considered "a run" for a team like...I don't know...St. Bonaventure. J/K
  18. I think they are in the most favorable bracket. I'm not even confident that they will beat Dayton the way they finished the season, but if they manage to get past Mich St they could make a run.
  19. Bust: Paxton Lynch: Athletic with good size and arm talent, but will take time to adapt to an NFL offense and did not play well against even mid-level NCAA talent. Sleeper: Pharoah Cooper WR South Carolina - Versatile WR who reminds me a lot of Randall Cobb.
  20. SO YOU'RE SAYIN THERE'S A CHANCE?!

  23. , but this would not deter Ryan L. Billz whose experience "romancing" elderly women is unparalleled. He knows what he likes and is not afraid to take it. Sure, some might be quick to judge, but as a level 3 sex offender, he has nothing more to lose. He once engaged in a "sex party" which included...
  24. I'd just assume skip the NIT. What a disgrace. I'm seeing a few projected brackets that has Cuse as an 11 seed playing Michigan in a play-in game. I just don't see it.
