  1. Pumpkin beer out in full force at my beer store (barf).
  2. It certainly appears so, but just one long-balled fella's perception. I've been to camp twice, and have watched all the preseason games (the last 2 multiple times). Multiple blown assignments, constantly getting pushed into the backfield in passing situations, and piss poor run blocking. I'm very concerned.
  3. Is anyone else concerned about going into the season with Groy and Velasco as our depth at G/C? IMO, both of them have been absolutely terrible, and it is pretty much a certainty that one or both will be called upon at some point during the regular season. Does Roman/Kromer realize how horrible these guys are, and do you think Whaley will be on the lookout when teams start making cuts this week? Something needs to be done, IMO, but it would take time for new guys to come in and learn the offense. Uggh... Thoughts?
  4. D'Angelo couldn't get his hands on him, so he shall walk another day.
  5. Tyrod Smith? Really?! Have you been living in a bomb shelter, cut off from society, for the last 2 years?
  6. Looked like a dirty hit by D. Hall from my recliner. I'm not sure if it was intentional, but it sure looked like he was targeting Gragg's knee.
  7. What a jackass. He was absolutely terrible, and obnoxious.
  8. I'm going to need you to go ahead and put a cover page on your TPS reports.
  9. Have you watched the preseason?
  10. Thanks fellas, but the Mrs. decided that she wants to go to the Pittsburgh game. You see, the in-laws are huge Steelers fans, so obviously we need to go to the game that they want to go to. Grrrr. My wife is almost as devout a Bills fan as I am, and would kill me if I went without her. Wow, since I posted my ticket "dilemma" I have had 4-5 kind board members come forward with offers for free/reduced cost tickets. What an amazing bunch of @$$holes you guys are! Next year...
  11. I was waiting for this one, and was actually thinking this in the back of my mind. I think this is a possibility. I love me some KW and don't want him to go anywhere, but perhaps Worthy/Bryant make this possible?
  12. Seriously, well I don't know about punching babies, but this makes me want to punt a kitten for sure. Recently, my Mom has started using this phrase in what she feels is a more grammatically appropriate manner..."not for anything, but." Makes me so angry.
  13. "Just a sec!" "Cool beans." "In today's society..." "See, what had happened was..." Here in NE everyone uses the term "share out" when talking about speaking about something to a group of people (e.g., Johnny, would you please share out about your summer vacation?) I'm sure I'll come up with several more today at work.
  14. Powell just makes plays man. I've watched him closely in camp on two occasions and he has really impressed me. I also will say that I think he may the best punt/kickoff returner on the team. I haven't been thrilled with Reggie Bush. Looks slow and indecisive.
  15. The discussion in this thread is absurd and insulting to the collective intelligence of TBD. Don't feed the trolls.
  16. Mrs. Hammer and I have watched all the episodes. It's pretty good, but kind of all over the place and with one episode left I have no idea how they are going to wrap everything up (maybe they will not). I read online that it is a "limited series." I wonder what that means... The Killing on Netflix has been really good. Another murder "who done it" type of show. We're 6 or 7 episodes into season 1, and I believe there are 4 seasons. Really interesting stuff.
  17. I agree, but I think they will carry a FB and baby Gronk is not a traditional "crack your skull in half" full back that Roman loves.
  18. Pretty sure it doesn't matter for Felton. He's not on the roster to carry the football or make receptions. He's there to crack heads.
  19. Agreed. Meeks is terrible. I couldn't understand the hype he was getting earlier in camp.
  20. Seriously, can Carp not get close to the goal line from the 35? IMO, keeping a kickoff specialist is asinine.
  21. Agree with everything with one exception. I thought Ryan Groy was awful yesterday. Constantly getting pushed into the backfield, and seemed particularly bad in the run game. I think he is better than Velasco, but that's like saying a poke in the eye is better than a kick in the nuts. I hope they are able to find someone decent on waivers for quality depth.
  22. The defense looks more organized, and the pre-snap communication seems to be improved. Last season, watching the opposing offenses snap the football before our defense was even set was very frustrating.
  23. Not to mention the guy is a concussion away from being a certified window licker.
