A bit of a tangent here, but I hate how Duke Williams tackles. He often flies up for the big hit, and fails to wrap up his tackle. Typically, the ball carrier just bounces off of him and scampers for more yards. This happened twice during the Colts game. That said, I have noticed a positive difference in his play during this offseason.

I get it, OP. He appears confident and at-ease out there. Looks like he is always having fun. I like that, and JK behaved similarly on the football field. Big arm with a monster physical presence. Rookies, especially supposed project QB's, don't typically climb the pocket and hit Powell with that laser. We are all cautiously optimistic...well some more than others, but there is a lot to be excited about here. We shall see.

I've been to TC twice and now watched one game, and they guy is just always making plays. I know we have guys like this every year that don't pan out. I'm rooting for this kid though.

Walt Powell helped himself a great deal yesterday. Very smart special teams play, and the guy just continues to make plays on offense like he has done all of camp thus far. I think he makes the team.

Just made the call. Took the whole "nice guy - what can you do to help me out" approach. After about 2 hours of polite back and forth (this year was much more challenging than in years past), I actually got a pretty nice deal. Customer since 2007. Have my bill automatically withdrawn from my checking account each month (which they like). The representative's initial offers were borderline insulting. I think she came back initially with $7 off per month for 12 months and a one-time bill credit for $20. With a 12 month contract (will expire 8/17)... I ended up with $50 off per month for 12 months. A one-time bill credit for $25. $10 off HBO for 12 months. And 20% off the total price for Sunday Ticket. I feel pretty darn good about my savings, and it was done without getting nasty or threatening cancellation.

I'm sure I'm late to the party on this one, but is anyone doing the free 7 day trial of NFL game pass? I did it last season and it worked just fine with no problems cancelling. You do not get charged the $99 if you cancel before the 7 day trial period is up. Anyone doing this? The DTV regional sports package is such a rip off. When I called to order it, the rep assured me that I would get all the Sabres games on MSG. Turns out I only got the Bruins games that I already f$&@ing received. When I called back to cancel the package, I was charged $10 (on top of the $13.99 I paid for the 1st month) for cancelling that package before 30 days.
