  1. Thanks for being a good TBD friend, CGF. She always remembers my daughter's birthday every year (I regularly forget my parents' anniversary), and always has good advice pertaining to getting raw egg off your windshield in -65 degree temps. Great person and an important part of this community. Cheers...
  2. How could you not be enthusiastic after watching Velasco struggle so badly? I'm loving just about any move to add decent depth to the interior OL.
  3. From what I gather, Seahawks fans are upset with the way Carroll tends to undervalue the center position. Many are still irked about the Max Unger trade, and many are upset about losing Lewis. Looks like they moved an OT to center and that player surpassed Lewis for the starting job. That's all I got. This guy HAS to be a better depth player than Velasco anyway.
  4. My Seahawks fan buddy texted me and said that we got a pretty good center in Lewis. Said he is a great leader and played very well for them down the stretch last season. I also didn't know that he is only 25 years old. I like this move.
  5. Happy Birthday!!
  6. WTF?! What's the deal with this?
  7. This kinda thing breaks my heart. I can't imagine my sweet little boy eating his lunch all alone. Good for Travis.
  8. I believe I posted about this earlier in the thread and go no response. Is anyone watching the crime drama "The Killing" on Netflix? I am half way through season 2 (of 4) and I am hooked. Very entertaining murder mystery series with loads of interesting twists and turns.
  9. My pet peeve is people who don't get irked at the mere utterance of everyday expressions that make your blood boil. Wait...wrong thread.
  10. Wonder if he would be happy being a backup. Maybe he doesn't have a choice at this point in his career.
  11. He broke his leg last season after 11 starts, but I believe he is healthy now.
  12. IIRC, he was really bad for the Giants before his injury last year. My friend who is a Giants fan was always bitching about him. Anyone have any insight? There it is...
  13. I thought his handle was pork chop?
  14. I enjoy saying "when in rome..." when it does not fit the context. Ron Burgundy steeze.
  15. ...and Theismann will gush about Cousins as he walks into the endzone with two 8 year olds wrapped around his legs, and one draped over his back.
  16. It was kinda funny. He blocked me after I replied to his tweet about needing to hit low to avoid league fines. I suggested that there was a lot of 6'3" Gragg to tackle between his head/shoulders and his knee. The guy seems to have pretty thin skin.
  17. He blocked me on Twitter....hahaha.
  18. Was that Duke or Meeks? I could have sworn from the replay that it was Meeks. Maybe both had huge hits...
  19. Going to Cuse-Colgate game on Friday with my best friend in the world who is moving to Napa, CA in a couple weeks. Driving back to Vermont Saturday morning and hopefully putting a 2nd coat of stain on my deck (while drinking heavily). Sunday will be fun day at the Hammersticks household. Probably will take my son fishing in the morning, and then having some friends over for BBQ/drinking games in the evening. Labor day will likely be spent slightly hung over...getting ready for the work week. Hopefully the weather will be nice....not too hot.
  20. I was just thinking the same thing.
  21. 1: Gillon, Howard 2: Battle, Gillon, White 3: White, Lydon, Roberson 4: Roberson, Lydon, Thompson 5: Coleman, Chukwu Amazing depth and talent. Starting lineup is basically meaningless. Guard and forward players are interchangeable based on matchup. Gillon, Lydon & and White all shot above 40% from long range last season (and Battle is an outstanding shooter). Wow. Edit: what the hell do they do with Matt Moyer? lol
  22. True. However, game planning against a guy like Prescott can be difficult given that he has shown to be an adept passer, as well as, a pretty solid runner. Similar to game planning for Russell Wilson (not saying DP is RW obviously but similar). Maybe I'm a little delusional because I just picked up Dak for my FF team...lol. We shall see.
  23. Adolphus Washington is the only solid 1st teamer I can think of. Zach Brown, Alexander, and Williams because of injury. But thanks for reinforcing my point, Beef.
