  1. I enjoy saying "when in rome..." when it does not fit the context. Ron Burgundy steeze.
  2. ...and Theismann will gush about Cousins as he walks into the endzone with two 8 year olds wrapped around his legs, and one draped over his back.
  3. It was kinda funny. He blocked me after I replied to his tweet about needing to hit low to avoid league fines. I suggested that there was a lot of 6'3" Gragg to tackle between his head/shoulders and his knee. The guy seems to have pretty thin skin.
  4. He blocked me on Twitter....hahaha.
  5. Was that Duke or Meeks? I could have sworn from the replay that it was Meeks. Maybe both had huge hits...
  6. Going to Cuse-Colgate game on Friday with my best friend in the world who is moving to Napa, CA in a couple weeks. Driving back to Vermont Saturday morning and hopefully putting a 2nd coat of stain on my deck (while drinking heavily). Sunday will be fun day at the Hammersticks household. Probably will take my son fishing in the morning, and then having some friends over for BBQ/drinking games in the evening. Labor day will likely be spent slightly hung over...getting ready for the work week. Hopefully the weather will be nice....not too hot.
  7. I was just thinking the same thing.
  8. 1: Gillon, Howard 2: Battle, Gillon, White 3: White, Lydon, Roberson 4: Roberson, Lydon, Thompson 5: Coleman, Chukwu Amazing depth and talent. Starting lineup is basically meaningless. Guard and forward players are interchangeable based on matchup. Gillon, Lydon & and White all shot above 40% from long range last season (and Battle is an outstanding shooter). Wow. Edit: what the hell do they do with Matt Moyer? lol
  9. True. However, game planning against a guy like Prescott can be difficult given that he has shown to be an adept passer, as well as, a pretty solid runner. Similar to game planning for Russell Wilson (not saying DP is RW obviously but similar). Maybe I'm a little delusional because I just picked up Dak for my FF team...lol. We shall see.
  10. Adolphus Washington is the only solid 1st teamer I can think of. Zach Brown, Alexander, and Williams because of injury. But thanks for reinforcing my point, Beef.
  11. With that offensive line and running game, I think Dak has a pretty good chance of being successful. Some folks forget that he has been playing against starting defenses in the preseason.
  12. This can't be emphasized enough. How did Captain Kirk do against Buffalo's 1's & 2's? The penalties and other unforced errors, however, continue to be annoying.
  13. Megan Trainor?! But she's bringing booty back!
  14. My wife cried when she found out my daughter's due date was on Halloween. She ended up being born on November 1st.
  15. Grad transfer Andrew White III finally commits to Syracuse. Great wing depth, and a very solid perimeter shooter. Just what JB needed for 16-17. Nice job by Red Autry on his recruitment. https://twitter.com/jonrothstein/status/769936255748538369
  16. Yeah, looks like we're pretty well set at OT. Mills is not great, but I am hopeful that Henderson takes over at RT. Having CK show well at LT is so huge. Very nice luxury to have a backup LT like that. I know it's difficult to predict, but does anyone know of any decent G/C's that might get cut this week? I'm trying to think of teams that have really solid o-lines.
  17. Sadly, I think Richardson might be the worst of the three.
  18. Pumpkin beer out in full force at my beer store (barf).
  19. It certainly appears so, but just one long-balled fella's perception. I've been to camp twice, and have watched all the preseason games (the last 2 multiple times). Multiple blown assignments, constantly getting pushed into the backfield in passing situations, and piss poor run blocking. I'm very concerned.
  20. Is anyone else concerned about going into the season with Groy and Velasco as our depth at G/C? IMO, both of them have been absolutely terrible, and it is pretty much a certainty that one or both will be called upon at some point during the regular season. Does Roman/Kromer realize how horrible these guys are, and do you think Whaley will be on the lookout when teams start making cuts this week? Something needs to be done, IMO, but it would take time for new guys to come in and learn the offense. Uggh... Thoughts?
  21. D'Angelo couldn't get his hands on him, so he shall walk another day.
  22. Tyrod Smith? Really?! Have you been living in a bomb shelter, cut off from society, for the last 2 years?
  23. Looked like a dirty hit by D. Hall from my recliner. I'm not sure if it was intentional, but it sure looked like he was targeting Gragg's knee.
