Everyone staying home for thanksgiving?
Johnny Hammersticks replied to mead107's topic in Off the Wall Archives
It's a mixture of salt and sugar and whatever aromatics that you want to flavor your bird. I use garlic, rosemary/rhyme/sage, oranges and lemons, and roasted black peppercorns and coriander seeds. The soliton draws the flavors into the meat. Delicious. -
I was at a wedding last weekend, and was chatting with a younger cousin I hadn't seen in a long time. I told him how we were leaving early in the AM to head back to Vermont so we could watch the Bills game. He went on to tell me a story about how one of the guys in his group (he went on a bus trip with one of the local bars) was the one who threw the dildo on the field. When he showed me a pic that he took from their seats, however, I noticed that they were sitting in the 2nd or 3rd row of the upper deck...around the 10 or 15 yard line. Is he full of crap? He said the guy who threw it was sitting right near him. Seems to me like that would be a long ass throw from where they were sitting. Anyone at the game see the trajectory of the rubber donger? Could it have come from the upper deck?

He cut all the tags off his new mattress. -
Somewhat of a tangent, but why don't you try the subway? I find that wherever I travel, whether bustling city or small town America, the subway is always a great place to meet wonderful, helpful people. It's terrible that they won't let you use their private server. Is it just me, or has teriyaki marinade really declined in popularity since the mid 90's? Maybe it's all the child slave labor that goes on in Teriyaki, Indonesia....

Anything worth seeing in Cleveland

Man....I was a young single adult at the wrong time in history. Although, I did do rather well taking home "wounded ducks" from some Monroe Ave bars in Rochester. I think getting laid is too easy now. Freaking millennials. -

My Mother hasn't spoken to me since election night when I texted her a pic of Trump's head photo-shopped on a cheese doodle. She said she found it "distasteful, and frankly, offensive." She won't answer my phone calls or respond to texts. You can't make this schitt up... -

Staying here in VT. Just the wife and kids this year for the first time ever. I'm making my turkey brine right now. My oh my the ski bunnies have arrived in droves. Connecticut and New Jersey license plates everywhere. I just came back from Price Chopper, and the eye candy is superb. -

If you really want to help Ryan, please tell him where the best cougars hang out late night. -

There was this lovely Olive Garden near the Cleveland Clinic... -
Good lord this team is fun to watch. Biggest surprise of the season so far? Taurean Thompson. Love his instinct for the game. Good rebounder. Solid mid range jumper and good finisher around the rim. I love that there are 6 or 7 players who can really fill the bucket. Plus, we now have a few big men who can get out on shooters around the foul line. Makes the 2-3 zone especially tough to prepare for. Edit: I also really like how this team likes to run and gun. Reminds me of the old big east days.

They're mostly on the ACC network on DTV. I have the same problem. You can either upgrade your channel package for a few months, or get the college basketall package. Not sure if it is worth it.

First nationally televised game is against Wisconsin on 11/29. I've been watching all the games on my phone (less than ideal) using the WatchESPN app. Quite a few of the "lesser" ACC games will not be televised as well.

Bright Side of Weed Legalization In Certain States
Johnny Hammersticks replied to PolishDave's topic in Off the Wall Archives
You talking about people getting hooked on and dying from marijuana? Ever meet a heroin addict? Ever spend some time around a crack head? Even know someone who is so hooked on prescription pain pills, that they steal from family/friends or sell their bodies to get more? Marijuana does not do that to people. There is a difference. Hell, I don't even smoke weed and I still think it's absurd that it's illegal federally and in most states. We will all look back on marijuana prohibition in 20 years, much like we look at women's suffrage now, and realize how stupid we all were. -
You're correct that SU shares some of the blame here. They told other 2017 top 25 PG's Brandon Coleman and Isaiah Washington (who said SU was his "dream school") that Quade was their #1 priority. Brandon has since cut Syracuse from his final list, and Washington has committed to Minnesota. It is my understanding, however, that Quade pretty much gave JB his word that he was coming to Syracuse.

http://247sports.com/Player/Eric-Ayala-77110 https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AbqeStLyrKM Keep an eye out for this kid. Currently designated as class of 2018, but Syracuse offered today and it is rumored that they're asking him to reclassify to '17. Give credit to JB and crew for acting fast to find QG's replacement. Let's cross our fingers. Current teammate of recent SU commit Sidibe, and also covetet 2017 SG Hamidou Diallo.

Things that cost more than a Browns ticket
Johnny Hammersticks replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The great thing is that just about anyone can afford to take their family to a professional football game. The horrible thing is that it's the Browns. They can't give tickets away. -
With the early signing period over now, and the conference schedule not too far off, it is time to focus on and enjoy this year's team. I remain confident that this is one of the better Cuse teams in recent history, and I expect a good run once again in the NCAA tourney. If I happen to come across any recruiting tid-bits in the meantime, however, I will pass them along. Cheers, and GO ORANGE!!
