  1. At most high-end steak joints you have to order your sides and/or salad separate. I went to Gibson's in Chicago years ago, and we all ordered a baked potato on the side. The waiter kindly advised us that one baked potato could be shared by all 4 people. The think came to our table and was the size of a football!
  2. Agreed. I forgot about Wes Johnson being that team's AW3. Striking similarities. A little note on the recruiting front with the early signing period coming to an end. Again, 5 star PG Quade (Kwah-day) Green will announce his decision on Saturday 11/19. Right now he is thought to be a heavy Cuse lean over Kentucky. I'm hearing now that he has already submitted all his paperwork to commit to Syracuse, but is waiting until Saturday to announce at an event at his HS. Would be huge not only because he is an elite PG, but also because other uncommitted blue chippers have made it known that they would like to play with Green (e.g., Hami Diallo, Mo Bamba). Also, 2017 4 star C, Bourama Sidibe will be announcing on Monday 11/21. Right now, Cuse, Oklahoma St., and Arizona State are the biggest players, but I'm hearing that he also will be wearing orange next season. Brissett, Green, and Sidibe would already be a pretty solid recruiting class. I would expect 1 or 2 more 4-5 star commits in the wake of Green committing. Go Cuse!
  3. This is exactly what I was thinking. The best team since Onuaku's senior season when he got injured in the tourney, and we got smoked by Blake Griffin and Oklahoma. And that team wasn't nearly as deep as this year's team, IMO.
  4. I'm trying to temper my excitement, but yes, this looks like the deepest and most talented SU team in some time. Looking forward to seeing them on a national stage against Wisconsin.
  5. Romo would never come to B-Lo. He wouldn't be able to play golf year round. No shot. Uh, plus he's like 37 years old and has broken his back... Common man!!
  6. The steaks are probably tough. Just like Fred. No thanks.
  7. We smoked Morning Glory seeds one time. Got a splitting headache, but no buzz.
  8. He couldn't be worth more than a 7th or conditional 6th on the trade market, right? I say just keep him.
  9. Anyone else going to the Cuse - UCONN game on Monday 12/5 at Madison Square Garden? PM me if you're going to be there. Would love to meet up for some beers.
  10. Common man! Between drinks and shots? A heavy night at the bar? A wedding? A bachelor party? It's been since a wedding last November, but it wasn't too hard to pull of and drink hard the next day.
  11. Isn't the general rule of thumb .02 per drink? Then 17 drinks? Yeah, I've been there.
  12. I'm not sure about that. I see a whole lot of both "liberal whining" and "conservative craziness" coming from adults 40-60 something on Facebook. It's all ridiculous, IMO. No, but I did witness 3 high school students (apparent Trump supporters) beat the crap out of a kid for wearing his "I'm with her" Hilary Clinton t-shirt to school the day after the election. The whiny kids who never got spanked when they were little are not just the liberal tree huggers, bro.
  13. Fittingly, this post is in line with the crazy rhetoric that's currently happening on Facebook.
  14. If she said "initially" then sex is clearly still on the table. She just wants to make you chase the rabbit a little.
  15. Cuse lands its first 2017 commit. Huge potential here. Think Tyler Roberson with a more polished jump shot. https://www.google.com/amp/www.syracuse.com/articles/19661760/syracuse_basketball_gets_commitment_from_2017_recruit_oshae_brissett.amp?client=safari
  16. 2017 SF Oshae Brissett will announce at halftime of the Knicks-Raptors game tonight. Down to Cuse, Oregon, USC and Memphis. Would be a really solid commit for SU.
  17. I notice you have my man Jabrill in your sig as your first round pick. Do you think we're gonna suck badly enough down the stretch to get in his projected range, or do you think he will fall? Or are you just nuts?
  18. Sadly, I agree... I've been backing Gilmore all season, but after seeing him whiff on all those tackles, I just can't do it anymore. The whole exchanging jerseys with Sherm think was the nail in the coffin for me. See ya Stephon.
  19. Jeebus, .34?! Shouldn't she be dead? How the hell was she able to get into the car in the first place? Poojer, would ya?
  20. Rewind to a season ago, and we had possibly the best CB tandem in the league. I can't imagine that their play last season was a fluke. What other factors are at work here? Is it coaching? Is it the system? Is it the horrible safety play? A combination of all that? I wouldn't pay Gilmore as a top CB because it looks to me like he has given up on his team. His attitude has been poor, and his effort in tackling has been horrible. Let him walk. This team desperately needs to upgrade the safety positions in the offseason. Blanton sucks. Meeks and Duke Williams suck worse. And Graham is just getting old. Losing AW killed this defense, IMO.
  21. We have 2 PG who can both distribute the ball well and score points. Gillon seems to be the better shooter of the two, but Howard seems much improved. Andrew White can absolutely shoot the lights out. In terms of shooting, not much of a drop off from Mali at the 3. White reminds me of Demetrius Nichols. Roberson is benefiting from the point guard play, as he has been racking up the easy buckets in the paint after nifty assists. Lydon hasn't been shooting the ball particularly well, but he has been a beast on defense. DC2 looks more muscular and much more athletic than in the past. Chukwu is a bit light, but his length in the middle of the zone will be nice. Good shot blocker. Tyus Battle appears to be as advertised. He does it all at the guard position, and probably will be a one and done. Taurean Thompson looks like a man, and has good footwork and a soft touch around the rim. Look for him to get minutes at the 4. Overall, this may be one of the best SU teams in a long time. They are very deep, can shoot, and are very long and active in the zone. I'm really excited about this season.
  22. I'd love to have Mali back too, obviously. Although some folks are saying that AW3 will make us forget about him. I can't remember where I read it, but I believe the one-and-doners who are drafted in the first round make significantly more money over the course of their careers than the 3-4 year college players who are drafted in the 1st round. I'm going to look for the article.
  23. Just today he was sent down to Sacramento's D League team in Reno.
  24. San Diego will trounce the Phins at home. Lock it in.
