  1. Don't worry. We'll just have to ride this out until the pendulum swings back to the left in November of 2018. Ahhhh....the flippancy of the populace.
  2. That's the same combination as my luggage!!
  3. Angst? To compete in the top basketball conference in the NCAAs, you need to bring in top tier talent. Quade Green is an elite top 25 recruit. We're likely losing Tyus Battle after this year along with DC2, Roberson, Gillon, Andrew White, and more than likely Tyler Lydon. That leaves us kind of thin for 2017. Quade Green was a very important piece of our '17 recruiting class. All of this coupled with the way PayCal swooped in at the 11th hour, and took away a kid that we have been recruiting very hard for over 2 years. A kid who was known to be a near lock to commit to Syracuse until 2 days ago. This is a big deal for Syracuse basketball fans, and if you're a SU fan and you're not concerned, you should be. We will be just fine for this season, but I'm worried about the next couple years.
  4. Good to know, thanks. I'm loving some Taurean Thompson. Certainly doesn't look like a typical freshman PF/C. He already has a grown man's body, and is only going to get bigger. He'll be a good 3-4 year player for us.
  5. Dallas is "americas team" and they're winning. I can't believe they're not showing the Bills in Syracuse. Unreal.
  6. Fu$&er cleaned house! Even ate all of my Cookie Crisp cereal?!
  7. The game isn't being shown here in Auburn (20 min west of Syracuse) on either network. I am home for a wedding, and was planning on having some friends over for the game. Drats!!
  8. Gee, thanks Dad! This is the best Christmas ever!! Let's toke up and spend some quality time together watching 3 stooges episodes!! I love you...
  9. I hear ya. I barely know how to put gas in the thing. My father "winterizes" it once or twice a year when he visits. I think he checks the regular oil, tops off the drum oil, and adds some type of fuel additive for ethanol even though I use ethanol free fuel. This snow blower is a beast, and has an Ariens engine.
  10. I'll be drinking heavily tonight regardless. I hear his announcement should come out between 9-10 pm. FWIW....from what I have seen (no inside info) Hop has joined GMac with the last 48 hours to make the final push with Quade. I hope he realizes who was recruiting him 2 years ago before anyone even knew who he was. Send PayCal and World Wide Wes home with their suitcases full of money, and their fancy cars. Smh... Anyway, how about the game last night. Good win over a solid MAC team. I hope Thompson is okay.
  11. I bought one of these 2 years ago. Love it. http://m.homedepot.com/p/Sno-Tek-24-in-2-Stage-Electric-Start-Gas-Snow-Blower-920402/202222489?cm_mmc=SEM%7CTHD%7Cgoogle%7C&mid=svrZOaRw4%7Cdm_mtid_890338a25189_pcrid_139636283740_pkw__pmt__product_202222489_slid_&gclid=CJ2b7rmRtNACFcpMDQodIBsNCQ
  12. Preston to Kansas 😞
  13. Bungles - 17 Beeelllllz - 34 Eifert scores twice for Cincinnati, but we win the turnover battle and capitalize. 2 TD's for McCoy...one rushing and one receiving. Bob Woods catches a TD pass. And Seymore in his debut at starting nickle CB intercepts one and takes it in for 6. Carp with 2 field goals.
  14. 2017 5 star PF, Billy Preston (Oak Hill) will announce his committment tonight (Fri). Down to Kansas, Syracuse, USC, and Arizona. USC seems to be the favorite at this point, as I believe he is from Los Angeles. You never know though... Keep an eye out on Twitter. I think he is scheduled to announce at around 3:30 EST.
  15. Freaking in-laws.... It's a pain in the ass for the griller to cook steaks between mid-rare and well done. Much easier to cook between medium to mid rare. Sunnamobitches!
  16. It's Kentucky. <signed off> Go Cuse. Gotta love our team this year.
  17. Okay, so my personal "source" within the athletic dept said again that Green is 100% orange. They said as of 4:30 today when they left campus that this was still the case. The coaches are expecting a commitment. The other source is second hand, but from a friend of my brother-in-law who happens to be a wealthy Cuse alum. This person is well connected, and donated millions to help fund the building of the Melo Center. This person knows people. They told my BIL that Quade changed his mind within the past couple days, and has already signed his LOI to Kentucky. Said it was confirmed by several people including a grad-assistant who works closely with GMac. Apparently, GMac made a special trip to Quade's HS yesterday to make an 11th hour plea. I don't know what to believe at this point, but I can't wait until Saturday until this is over with. We really need this kid...especially if Battle is a one and done. Uggh....
  18. Now I'm hearing second-hand from another fairly trustworthy source (a grad assistant) that no LOI has been signed, and that Quade has flipped to Kentucky within the past 2 days. I'm going to stop posting about this, and wait to see what happens. What a blow to this recruiting class if true. This is driving me crazy. Sorry guys...
  19. The chefs at the restaurant I used to work at would get soooooo pissed off if a steak order came in requesting well done. Especially if it was a filet. Why anyone would order a steak well done is beyond my understanding. From my experience as a waiter/bartender, it is usually the old women who do that. Grrrrrrrr.
  20. Gotcha. Very interesting stuff, and I thank you for posting. I'll have to be on the lookout in the future for seed packets in my children's sock drawers
  21. Kentucky's #1 target all along has been Trae Young, and this has been made clear to all the other top '17 PG's. Recently, it has been rumored that Trae is now a heavy lean for Kansas, although he remains uncommitted and has stated that he will not make a decision until spring. On the heels of this news, Cal went hard after Shai Alexander and recently Shai committed to Kentucky. He is a very good PG, but not elite like Quade, Trae, Trevon Duval, or Matt Coleman. Essentially, Cal only started recruiting Quade 6 months ago, while JB and GMac (main recruiter for QG) have been recruiting him hard for 2 years. Quade could still commit to Kentucky and start over Shai Alexander....which is scary for us. He has stated all along that he wants to be his college team's "plan A," and clearly he is now plan B for Cal and the Wildcats. I hope that bodes well for us. Recruiting is a crazy, rabid animal. There are many influences, as we all know, outside just choosing the best team to play for. Anything can happen, and his recent trip to MSG to watch Kentucky bury Michigan State is concerning. I still remain confident, however, that Quade will be orange. He seems like a good kid with reasonable parents, and he seems to genuinely love Syracuse. Again, I'm not guaranteeing anything, but I am fairly confident. Interesting. I remember the morning of Noel's announcement it was rumored that he has decided on Georgetown, Syracuse was a very close 2nd, and Kentucky was out of the running. It just shows how crazy CBB recruiting is, and how unreliable the media can be with regard to these speculations.
  22. FWIW...I got reassurance last night that Quade Green has signed his LOI with Syracuse. If my source is wrong about this, as they were with Dakari Johnson, I will be really upset. We really need Quade in orange.
  23. Thanks man, but I am not 15 anymore. If I chose to, I could acquire really, really good quality marijuana within the hour. I just don't puff anymore...maybe once or twice a year if there is a special occasion. Smoking MG seeds was done out of desperation! Haha. BTW, how do you know all of this?
  24. He was sitting court side at the Cuse-Colgate game also. Everything I've heard has him committing to Syracuse. My "source" on the hill is he one who told me that he has already submitted paperwork to attend SU (whatever that means). I guess I wouldn't rule out Kentucky and PayCal in any recruiting situation. I learned my lesson with the Thomas Bryant recruiting fiasco. I was 99.9% sure he was orange, and he ended up committing to Indiana. We'll just have to wait and cross our fingers. I will say, however, that it is telling that JB has given up recruiting all of the other top PG's for 2017.
