Sip o Sunshine is very good. Seems to be harder to get than HT though. Fiddlehead makes an incredible IPA. One of my favorites is Foley Brothers out of Brandon, VT. It's even smaller than Alchemy in terms of production, but my guy at the neighborhood beer store sets me aside a couple 4 packs whenever they release a batch. 14th Star Tribute out of St. Albans is also very, very good.

It's become sort of a joke here in Vermont in that everyone who comes to visit is so mystified by the legend of HT. They are willing to drive around from store to store (30-45 miles apart) to obtain the holy grail of beers before it is sold out. I guess it is no big deal to me because I live here and can get it just about any time. I usually bring a case or two back to CNY for Christmas to hand out to family and friends. Is it good? Yes. Is it good enough to go on an all day scavenger hunt to get a 4 pack? IMO, no. There are probably 5 or 6 small batch IPA's just in Vermont that I like just as well or better.

I just finished episode 5/8 last night. While I don't think the show is a bad as you describe, I have lost interest somewhat as the plot unfolds. There have been a couple times my wife and I have turned to each other and laughed about the ridiculousness of certain aspects of the show (e.g., the dance). We are going to finish watching, as it is interesting in some respects and is quite suspenseful. I would give it a 6.3/10 JH rating....a decent show to get you through a week of your "show hole." Funny about your M Night Shamalamadingdong comparison. Last night I said to my wife that the "vibe" of the show reminds me very much of The Lady in the Water.

I'm still not convinced the team has moved on from Tyrod. That said, I'm with the others who feel that Romo is just too fragile. Still very good when healthy, but he's one good hit away from spending the rest of his days in a wheelchair. Too risky. Interesting idea though...

Bistro Henry and The Perfect Wife - both in Manchester, VT Bistro Henry is a semi-casual french restaurant that happens to have the best prime rib on Saturdays. Served with this unreal demi glace and homemade french fries that are out of this world. The Perfect Wife is more formal. I usually take Mrs. Hammer there for special events. Modern, farm-to-table type cuisine. They do these seared diver scallops with some kind of citrus sauce and a lavender polenta. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it.

I watched the first 2 episodes of The OA on Netflix last night. It was pretty good. Reminded me of Stranger Things without the 80's vibe. Very interesting stuff.

The wife and I did a 5 day Carnival cruise to the Bahamas. First stop in Freeport and then Nassau before heading back to Jacksonville. Loved every minute of it. Only thing was that we ended up spending more money on booze than we did on the cruise itself. If I did it again, I would definitely do an all inclusive deal. I've heard Norwegian cruise lines are good.

My wife is a great driver...as long as she doesn't have to go in reverse. She has no idea how to use her mirrors, and does not turn around to check her blind spots. In 2016 alone, she hit my Father's brand new truck twice, and my car once (all while backing out of the driveway). My Father didn't want to report it to his insurance, so I had to pay him a total of 1300 out of pocket. Her most recent crash into my car cost me 1000 in deductibles. I'm amazed, frankly, that she was able to earn her driver's license.

Ehhhh....defense when it was Lydon/Roberson was decent. The defense when it was Thompson/Lydon was horrid. Not to get down on the frosh too much, but he is a defensive liability out there. Also, the guards and White are not getting out on shooters. Too many uncontested perimeter shots. So many ridiculous turnovers between Gillon throwing the ball away, and AW3 traveling. So hard to overcome against a team like UNC. Syracuse is just not built to out-rebound UNC, but I was hoping for a little more effort by everyone not named Roberson. Absolutely have to beat ND on the road to keep any NCAA tourney hopes alive, IMO.

- Lost to a very good UNC team. I believe they ran 9 deep today. I love Theo Pinson. Berry, Hicks, Meeks and Jackson. Pick your poison. Final 4 should be the expectation. - Lydon played very well, per usual. He looked like he belonged on the court. - Battle is so important to our success. Tonight he didn't seem to get it going. - I can't remember a worse defensive team in the past 10-15 years. Gillon and Thompson contribute a lot to this. - Rebounding is always difficult out of the zone, but this team is wonderfully horrible on the glass. Absolutely terrible. Roberson is the only player worth half a rat turd on the boards. - Clearly, the best line-up is Lydon/Roberson/White/Battle/Gillon. Keep it simple, Boeheim. Thompson is good for a few 18 foot jumpers, but playing him over Roberson hurts to badly on defense and on the boards. Thompson should be playing 5-10 minutes unless Lydon is in foul trouble. - Frank Howard is not good enough to step foot on the court. He sucks. If Gillon and Battle are not in foul trouble, please JB, leave him on the bench. - Absolute must win up next on the road in ND. Go Orange!

I don't like this comparison as much as I feel CK plays like a poor man's Jay Cutler. Great arm, can make all the throws, but terrible decision making. Tries to force the ball frequently resulting in too many turnovers. I actually think CK is a more polished NFL QB prospect than Manziel ever was. But that's not saying much.

Ken Dorsey, Duce Staley and Tom Clements (expiring contract) are coaches that I think deserve a look at as OC.

Perfect. Scandium is strong and light...but much less expensive than titanium.

Former colllege lacrosse player and current varsity coach. Best Att/Mid heads (IMO) are Nike CEO U, Maverik Centrik, STX Duel U, or Epoch Hawk Sequel. Get a scandium or titanium shaft off of EBay and you got a nice new "twig." For defense heads....STX Hammer U, Warrior OG Blade, or Brine Clutch 3. Best 3 for defense, IMO.
