  1. I always thought it had to do with the Irish Protestants, but I guess not. It appears as though the name "orangemen" kinda happened by accident and was adopted. http://www.syracuse.com/orangesports/index.ssf/2004/05/origins_of_orange_colors_nicknames_and_mascots_of_syracuse_sports_over_the_years.html
  2. Corey Davis or Jamal Adams and I'm happy. Make it happen, Doug.
  3. This sounds great. I love salt water fishing. My folks have a place down in MB, and we go down twice a year and do a ton of pier fishing. Catch a lot of spanish mackerel, bluefish, and whiting with the occasional black drum or flounder. My Father has crab traps too, and we sometimes get into the stone crabs. I was watching a YouTube video with my son last night...a dude kayak fishing for flounder in what looked like the FL keys. It looked like a lot of fun. The guy had his kayak all rigged up.
  4. Bose ear buds for me. Sounds great. A little bass heavy but I like that.
  5. I'd rather draft Davis or Williams. Preferably Davis.
  6. Uggghhh.... Going to be white knuckling it on selection Sunday. Again.
  7. If Norwood did offer help and was graciously declined, I bet he wouldn't go flapping his lips about it to make the franchise look bad.
  8. I love fishing. I was lucky to grow up with a great dad who loved fishing, and always brought me with him when he and his buddies went out. My son recently turned 7, and he really took to fishing last summer. I'm an educator, and I get summers off, so we would go about 3-4 times per week. A lot of small lakes loaded with bass around where I live in central Vermont. My Father turned 68 this year, and has a spinal condition which will cause him to lose mobility within the next year or so. He told me that the one thing he really wanted to do before that happened was to go on one more trip up to Lac Hebert in Quebec. Amazing Walleye and Northern Pike fishing. We're going in early September with a bunch of friends and relatives. Pretty excited bout that.
  9. Seriously. Who even cares about this? Yet here I am posting again in this thread...
  10. On the same level as Kelly and Thurman? Yeah, no. I wouldn't even put him up there with Eric Moulds.
  11. Here in New England, they are now referred to as Bill-dos. No joke.
  12. There is an episode about this in Dark Mirror on Netflix.
  13. I'd have to go with the 3.5 x 5 large mesh fence to accommodate my junk. I'm hung like a stack of 3 tuna cans.
  14. At least the guy was courteous enough to engage in a little foreplay first.
  15. "was told by the GM that HE wouldn't be receptive to outsiders." It's the "he" that folks are questioning. Is the "he" Whaley or Carp?
  16. ehhh....get your point, kinda, but Kelly would be different than Christie. Not even in the same league as Kelly/Thomas in terms of "accomplished alumni." When is the last time Steve Christie was seen at training camp or on the sidelines?
  17. i'm seing just about every half-way decent FA linked to the Pats right now. This doesn't seem like a BB move to me unless it is a very, very friendly deal.
  18. Carpenter was in Buffalo for 4 season, and had 2 (arguably) very good seasons kicking FG's. All of a sudden he needs help learning how to kick in the Buffalo weather? Some times players just can't do their job anymore. Carp lost it, and no 50 year old former kicker was going to fix him, IMO. Why should this reflect negatively on Whaley or anyone at OBD?
  19. Pickle juice CAN be a useful ingredient in a variety of dishes.
  20. Again, why would a team be obligated to bring in every former player to act as a coach? Maybe they just didn't want his help? Maybe they didn't think he could help? Christie is just being a big baby. Non story.
  21. Jerry Hughes doesn't do it for you?
  22. I hope Steve comes to a home game and gets "Charles Oakley-ed" by a couple 300 pound security guards. They didn't want your help. Get over yourself and shut your yap.
