  1. Who are you, and where did you come from? Not very nice.
  2. This post made me laugh. So true, and your John Ross/Bolt analogy was freaking hilarious. This fight is absurd.
  3. Also, Tussin. Got any Tussin? If you have a bottle with only a little left in the bottom...put some water in and shake around...more Tussin!! I don't know, Mead. Some of them sound like they have anger issues.
  4. Did you try a little Vicks Vaporub on her chest, and a few dabs under her nose?
  5. You must be kidding with both of these. What?! I find Tosh's humor to be immensely brash, but also witty and hilarious. I like how he's not afraid to ruffle feathers and over-step boundaries.
  6. Yikes! Some marijuana for you too.
  7. Most Bostonians would self-admit that they are aholes. That is the true test to properly identify those buggers.
  8. I got my money on Arya.
  9. To be forced to wear that Dolphins shirt? I know, right?!
  10. I can't believe some of you are trying to diss NYC girls. Puhlease....
  11. Watched Amy's Netflix special last week, and I thought she was really funny. Seems to have strayed away from that whole "I sleep with a ton of guys" routine. But I can see why a lot of people don't connect with her style of humor.
  12. I texted my BIL who lives in Dover, NH, and he says Black Trumpet Bistro is his favorite restaurant in Portsmouth, FWIW. He's in medical sales, and often takes doctors/hospital administrators out to dinner. Says this is his go-to when working close to home if he really wants to impress a client. Heard of this place, PTR? I also second the Ri Ra Irish Pub recommendation. I've been to locations in Burlington and Charlotte, NC. Excellent Irish food, great beer selection, and cool atmosphere/decor. Makes you feel like you're in a pub in Dublin.
  13. I'm certainly not an expert on Portsmouth, but I have been there a couple times. Once for a lunch pit stop on the way to Wells Beach, and once for dinner. I wouldn't recommend the place we went for lunch...wasn't anything spectacular. The restaurant we went to for dinner was very, very good though. Fresh seafood, creative menu, great raw bar. http://surfseafood.com/menu/portsmouth/ I'm sure others have more Portsmouth expertise than I. It really is a neat little city. Enjoy.
  14. We've already hashed this out in the shoutbox, Boyst. Let it go with your Tso conspiracies. Have some respect.
  15. The kids and I still eat gluten from time to time, and we usually get a pizza on Friday nights. My wife has become increasingly willing/able to modify her meal or just eat something else. The real challenge is when we go out for dinner. We went out to a nice French restaurant for our anniversary a couple weeks ago, and there was like 4 things on the menu she could eat and everything needed to be modified.
  16. Seriously. You pay the 300K to fix the foundation, and then wait for the rest of the house to slide down the hill?
  17. Agreed. Although pre Little Nicky there were a few good Sandler movies. I know I might catch some heat for this, but I haven't seen Will Farrell do anything funny since Old School.
  18. Never liked Carlos. Also, Chelsea Handler is not funny to me. My wife loves her, but I think she is repugnant and dumb.
  19. It is quite perplexing. A year ago, we were consuming a whole lot of gluten in my household. Loads of pasta and bread and everyone was doing just fine. Within a matter of weeks, my wife was up literally almost all night, every night with "gastro issues." She lost an unhealthy amount of weight, and she also began developing these dry, patchy skin irritations. One was on the side of her head and made her hair fall out. She was (not shockingly) developing depressive and anxious symptoms. She must have seen 9 or 10 different doctors, was in therapy, and was finally diagnosed with Celiac. We immediately cut all gluten from our diet, and eventually had to cut out dairy as well for some reason. I never would say anything to her, but I was skeptical about the whole thing because she was seeing a couple homeopathic doctors. Within a couple weeks of the dietary changes, however, her health started to improve significantly and her hair grew right back. Weird stuff.
  20. Yes. A lot of good stuff here. I like the part about being honest and "you tell me before I hear from someone else." I think I might use that one.
  21. Fruity Pebbles back in the day. Best part was drinking the milk at the end. Strawberry frosted mini shredded wheat now.
  22. Jeebus! Some of you sound like you even enjoy smacking your kids around...lol. My son is almost 8 and he got one spanking when he was about 4. One smack on the butt did the trick, and I remember feeling horrible about it at the time. The thing is, he never before and never since needed to be spanked. He's a good kid. I'm a firm believer in not going to the spanking thing too often, and only under extreme circumstances. If you spank too frequently kids become accustomed to it and the consequence loses value, IMO. My 4 year old daughter, on the other hand, has been on the receiving end of 5 or 6 spankings already. She's well mannered and behaves herself for the most part, but she has a little bit of an evil streak to her. She's just like my wife.
  23. Story of my life... That's the spirit, Exiled!
