  1. Thanks. This is what I need. I have a pretty good handle on what the old farts on the ice want to hear. Trying to include some tunes for the youngsters too.
  2. So very sorry for your loss, Augie. Thoughts and prayers coming from VT.
  3. Soooo, I was asked by my son’s hockey coach to do the music at tonight’s annual charity “coaches vs enforcers” hockey game. It is a fund raising event for the local youth hockey club in which the coaches play against a team comprised of Vermont law enforcement and public safety people. There will be hundreds of people in attendance, and it will be a family crowd. I know what kind of music I would like to hear at a hockey game (90’s rock/metal, classic rock), but I really don’t know what the crowd would like to hear in addition to that stuff. Any recommendations for bands/songs that I should include in my playlist? Any help is appreciated. I would like to mix in some modern hits, if possible, to appeal to the youngsters. I will be using Spotify. Thoughts?
  4. I think all signs are pointing to him at least giving it a go. A couple sources have said that he has looked good in limited practice, but he won’t truly test that ankle until he has to cut.
  5. Does anyone know...are there any good quilting shops down here? Also, where is the hammock district?
  6. Obviously! That’s why the home attendance is inflated. Please try to keep up
  7. Yeah!! Murica!!!! Hey Spags
  8. Praise be to god...
  9. Yes, but you have to admit that some of the vitriol around here is a bit much. I’ll admit to calling the OP not so nice things a couple times in this thread, but now this sham is painfully obvious. It’s sad and poorly executed. It’s like someone who really gets serious about professional wrestling.
  10. We are leaving bread crumbs. Trying our best to connect the dots.
  11. Disproportionate amount of conjoined twins in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.
  12. Of course. No work today, and I’ve had a few barley pops waiting for this USA v Sweden game.
  13. To be fair though...I really believe this is a parody account. Like Jimmy Spags on PCP.
  14. Oh well. At least we are in the top 6 of teams still playing football right now
  15. I’m no Dunkirk Don, but I heard that Chukwu staying out of foul trouble kept Sidibe on the bench last night. They are easing him back. This is good news for Syracuse.
  16. Yes, but we are 17th in avg attendance/game
  17. Oh, I’m not afraid of the cold. I’ve had my eyes frozen open several times walking from my car into work at -65/-70. No wind chill. That is cold. I’m afraid of the power going out, and not being able to watch the game on Sunday!
  18. It’s snowing outside in Vermont Tomorrow and Saturday will be kinda scary here though. They’re forecasting 30-40 mph winds and wind chill from -25 to -40. Expecting mass power outages. If my power goes out, I’m bringing the Hammersticks clan to @Gugny‘s house!
  19. WTF is wrong with Baltimore City Schools?! Jeebus...
  20. This thread title is misleading. I fully expected a link to a TMZ story with video of some Bills fan giving some other Bills fan an oil check while watching the Dalton/Boyd play. I’m disappointed.
  21. Sloppy game with loads of turnovers. Howard does something awesome, and then 3 seconds later I’m saying “what the f$&@ was that?!” We absolutely need Battle to score to win these ACC games. He was not good last night. What’s up with Sidibe? He plays for 2 minutes, looks decent out there, and then sits for the rest of the game. No longer eligible for medical redshirt is my understanding. It’s going to be an up and down season, my Cuse friends.
  22. Doug Whaley is on Wiz Khalifa’s jet headed to GB as I type this.
  23. I’d give them Tyrod and a 5th. First round pick? Really?
  24. Best of luck. Glad to hear you have some emergency backup plans just in case. Losing your job, especially if it’s through no fault of your own, really sucks.
  25. Dang! My (then new) bride and I both lost our jobs on the same day on an April Friday back in 2008. Both RIF’ed due to state budget cuts. My wife was 3 months pregnant with my son, and we were in the process of looking to buy a home. Completely hit us by surprise. But we were young, relatively unattached to where we were living, and able to easily relocate. What is your situation? Do you anticipate being able to find something near you that you’re qualified for? Will you have to relocate? This sucks man. Sorry.
