My steak would have to be burned beyond recognition for me to send it back. I worked in restaurants for most of my life, so I know better. If you are dissatisfied with your meal or the service...just don’t go back to that restaurant. I’ve see a lot of horrible things happen in the kitchen.
I’d be willing to wager that the OP’s steak was dropped on the floor and farted on by the grill cook before they sent it back out.
Vermont. No question. Mainly because most people drive 5-10 mph too slow so they can check out the sweet foliage and mountains. I live here, you stupid $&@%, and I have to get my kid to a dentist appointment. Pull over and let me by!!
I can cook like a mofo. I basically grew up in a restaurant. Started washing dishes at 14 and worked my way up to line cook before moving out to the front of the house where the real money is.
I don’t like recipes. I like to go to the grocery store and pick out ingredients that I think go well together. Usually turns out to be pretty delicious.
Canadian food just tastes....different. I’ve had a couple great meals in Montreal, but I guess that is the French influence. I have never been to Vancouver, however, which I’ve heard is a really great food town.
I’ve grown to appreciate Bilas over the years. He is a bit pompous, and he is a Dukie, but he is one of the only people who “matter” in the world of college basketball that unabashedly speaks the truth about the flaming trash heap that is the NCAA. Good for him.
The scene at the end of Marked for Death when Steven Seagal finally gets his hands on the Jamaican drug lord, Screwface. He snaps multiple limbs in half before snapping his spine like a bread stick over his knee. Love it.
