  1. 1st in flight, 49th in education!!
  2. Should have taken Leighton Vander Esch. This is a catastrophe.
  3. You're correct. How silly of me to even joke around about this very serious matter.
  4. Thx...ouch...can we trade back? ?
  5. Lived in Concord for a bit. Nice place just north of Charlotte with quick access to the city. Cabarrus County schools amongst the best in the state, IIRC. Stay away from Mecklenburg County. I frequented Greensboro when I lived there, as I dated a girl who went to the university. The place is a real dump. I’ve heard really good things about Wake County and the Raleigh area in general, but never spent too much time there so I’m not sure if there are nice rural areas.
  6. All the other threads were just cheap imitations. This is the real deal.
  7. What’s up with the weird rabbit pic? I bet that thing was part of a sacrificial ceremony.
  8. Oh, I’m sure Frank will get the start, but I wonder how many minutes Carey will steal from him. Carey, IMO, is a better passer and a much better shooter that FH. It will be interesting. Battle, Howard, Boeheim, Hughes, Carey, and Washington. That’s a lot of mouths to feed.
  9. Yeah, I agree with this. Bazley’s decision will have no influence in Battle’s either way. Brissett I had a pretty good feeling he was coming back, regardless. It will be really interesting, especially if Battle stays, how JB will use Jalen Carey (combo guard) and Buddy Boeheim (SG). A lot of people feel that Jalen right now is a better player than Howard. It would be a log-jam at the guard position, and I think someone would need to redshirt. Howard Washington may even end up transferring. Remember, ECU transfer Elijah Hughes (SG) will be eligible next year as well.
  10. I think he will declare, but won’t sign an agent. Go through some workouts, get evaluated, and then make a decision. His “camp” is completely silent on the subject, BTW. I’ve been putting feelers out and nothing.
  11. I’d beat the brakes off of that!
  12. Most mocks I’ve seen have him in the 2nd round. For whatever that’s worth....
  13. Let’s trade all our picks this year so we have 32 7th round picks in 2019 and 2020.
  14. ? This board needs an enema. Mods?
  15. I’m thinking my shotgun and a case of shells.
  16. My mom sells Fenton Glass on EBay. Has half the house filled up with the crap. My old man is about to move into the garage., I don’t get the appeal. It all looks like grandma’s candy dish to me.
  17. College yearbooks? Are those from back in the day when Gugny swam naked with his classmates in gym class?
  18. Careful. We may be on the cusp of having AJ McCarron as our starting QB this season.
  19. I have some additional insight, as one of my former assistant coaches was a “pastor in training” for one of these progressive churches. The main guy who started the original Mission City Church out at the mall, is from North Carolina. He brought up a bunch of his people from North Carolina, and have since expanded to where they have 4 or 5 locations. While they proclaim to be progressive and accepting of all, they do not embrace homosexuality or same-sex couples in their church. They welcome them in the door, but eventually the goal (according to my former AC) is to transform them back to heterosexual individuals with “god’s help.” I believe all of the pastors are male, but I’m not 100% certain.
  20. I was raised very strict Roman Catholic. Mass every Sunday, and bible school before mass. Bible camp every summer, and sometimes during school breaks. After I made my confirmation I decided I didn’t want to go back. My mother was very upset by this, and still today my lack of faith is a bone of contention. Imagine my mother’s response when I told her I wouldn’t have my children baptized or make them go to church. I have noticed that “old school” carholicism seems to have diminished, but there is still a presence in the small town where I live. What I am noticing is an increase in these “pop up” churches appearing in town. Most of them lease vacant stores in the mall, or occupy other buildings that are not churches. From what I can gather they practice Christianity, but it is a lot different than the church I knew growing up. They have a live band at their masses. They dance and sing to progressive music. The pastors, or whatever they call themselves, wear slacks and a polo shirt. Not the ornate gowns that I remember Catholic priests wearing. Seems like a good thing. Perhaps if church were like this when I was growing up I might still be involved.
