  1. By their rankings, and I know a lot will change, it seems like the “sweet spot” for OT’s will be in the 2nd & 3rd round. Top OT is currently ranked 16th overall with the rest 30’s though 60’s.
  2. What the hell are you talking about....ignorance?
  3. How about a thread for posters to publicly denounce their fandom? That would be entertaining.
  4. Oooh...Asheville’s got that good cheeba too! She will be safe and stoned ?
  5. I think that’s a fair assessment regardless of the circumstances ? We buried our good friend last year as well. Hard working guy. Was a drinker in HS like all of us and smoked some weed here and there. He was a successful electrician. Had his own business, and had a family. Left 2 young daughters behind. Injured his back working on one of his rental properties. Got prescribed an opioid med and got hooked, and then apparently turned to heroin when they no longer would fill his prescription. No one had a clue he was even doing this until it was too late. His 7 year old daughter found him unconscious. Horrible, horrible stuff.
  6. Looks like current path has Wilmington in it’s crosshairs. Yikes!
  7. He does a lot on special teams, IIRC.
  8. BS. Play the kid. He can throw the football, so defenses won’t be able to stack the box like they did to Peterman. He’ll be fine.
  9. Has Orchard ever played OLB?
  10. I like this. Versatile player who hopefully will provide some spark to the pass rush. Seemed like a really good guy on Hard Knocks.
  11. Again, JMO, but I think they recognized that Allen was head and shoulders above both McCarron and Peterman talent wise and they wanted him to start sooner than later anyway. They were able to recoup a 5th for McCarron, and they went for it.
  12. Not sure if you paid attention in the preseason, but McCarron was flat out beat by Nate Peterman. He sucked. I don’t know why so many people are now bashing Beane for shipping off AJM...as if he would have faired any better yesterday.
  13. Fair point. Again, I feel like they had their bridge QB in McCarron, but that didn’t pan out as they suspected. Either way, in the long run, I feel like Josh Allen is going to benefit from being thrown to the wolves. He seems to have the mental fortitude to weather the highs and lows.
  14. Hindsight is 20/20. Again, I suspect when they acquired McCarron they thought they were getting much more of a bridge QB. Sometimes you gamble and lose.
  15. Playing Peterman was the only choice for McD, IMO. If he had played reasonably well on Sunday, McD would have looked good. Now that Peterman sucked, as we all knew would happen, he has no excuse but to start the rookie. Allen starting this season was inevitable. Ideally, we would have liked him to sit and learn for at least 4-5 games, but that didn’t happen. As I stated in an earlier post, I honestly think they felt McCarron was going to be that bridge QB. Conversely, if McD had started Allen in game one and Allen struggled, fans and media would be clamoring for Peterman. What a mess that would/could have been.
  16. Yes, the plan is to develop Josh Allen. That’s what you have to do if you take a QB top 10. Tyrod Taylor would have cost way too much to keep around as a back up. I honestly think they thought they had more in McCarron. They obviously were wrong. It happens. It’s the Josh Allen show now.
  17. Depends. Can your cows swim?
