Dogfish Head & Sam Adams to merge
Johnny Hammersticks replied to The Poojer's topic in Off the Wall Archives
When I first moved here, my friends were all up my ass about bring HT back to CNY for them. One day I literally drove around for hours to the different stores listed on their website. I only found one store who had any left, and they only allowed me to buy one case. After trying the “mistic unicorn” of beers, however, I realized that (in my opinion) it wasn’t nearly as good as the hype led me to believe. Again, it’s good but wouldn’t even be in my top 5 of Vermont beers. Not even close. -

It appears that Alchemist has finally sold out ?. Surprised you can get Hill Farmstead. Another one that is not even readily available across Vermont. Another one of my favorites is 14th Star Tribute IPA. If you can get your hands on some of those, do it! They make an outstanding maple breakfast stout as well. -

A bit off topic, but I am seeing Heady Topper and Focal Banger all over Vermont now. Is it being distributed in other areas as well? I live in central VT, and until recently had to travel 45 minutes north to find it. FTR, not a huge HT fan. Focal Banger is better, but my fav Vermont IPAs by far are Fiddlehead and Hill Farmstead - Edward. -

She’s a HFT 5 without additional photos, but I could see her potentially being as high as a HFT 7 or 8. -

Oh, that poor, poor child. She should get the death penalty. -

Isn’t there some pretty solid research out there to support psylocibin treatment for mood disorders? -
Tampa’s JPP might be done for the year.

With all due respect, I think you’re overestimating Shaq Lawson’s trade value. Again, JMO, but he’s probably better suited to play 3-4 DE than 4-3 DE given that he’s just not a good pass rusher. And he would be an undersized 3-4 DE. I can’t imagine the Bucs shipping McCoy and a 2020 2nd for Lawson and a 2020 6th. It just doesn’t make sense to me, but I appreciate the thoughtful thread. -

After drafting Ed Oliver why would we spend big money and assets on an older FA DT? Our need is at DE right now. Either make a move for Ziggy, or roll with what we have and save the $ for next offseason or extending current players. JMO. -
Which of these do we need to retire first?
Johnny Hammersticks replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’m fine with both. I am, however, in favor of retiring “quick first step,” “lunch pail guy,” and “high motor.” -

The St Lawrence market in old town is awesome. So many different types of foods and other crafts/goods. The wife and I spent 2 or 3 hours there the last time we were in TO. -

He has a home in Ithaca. I used to live with my girlfriend (who went to Cornell) during the summers, and I would stock shelves at Wegmans part time for a little extra coin. Chris was constantly in the place, and was very friendly. I didn’t know he was a Bills fan. -
What is everyone paying for a haircut these days?
Johnny Hammersticks replied to SDS's topic in Off the Wall Archives
A local woman here just opened a “gentlemen’s salon” near my home. They specialize in men’s haircuts, old school shaves, and beard trimmings. They also have an extra deal where you get a shoulder and neck massage. Sounds like an interesting place. The owner is a former bartender at night/hairdresser at day. Complete smoke show. The only weird thing about the place is that the 3 girls who work there (all young attractive women) wear very scantily clad uniforms. I’m talking cleavage popping out the top of their low-cut v neck shirts and yoga pants. Of course my wife has already warned me to stick with Sport Clips. If I went to the new gentlemen’s salon, I would probably be sleeping in the guest bedroom for a week. Might be worth it though? ?? -

When you get to Cape Town you should go out on a shark watching tour. Isn’t that where all the cool great whites hang out during spring break?

I first heard Undertow at Hobart lacrosse camp. I think I was in 8th or 9th grade. Fell in love with that album. I like them all for different reasons. I think you could argue that Carey is among the elite drummers of all time. Some folks think Maynard is one of the best male singers of all time. Perhaps my favorite band member is Justin Chancellor. Not the most talented bass player around, but I love his groove.
