What is particularly vexing to me is how poorly JG3 has been shooting since the Okla St game. No way we have a chance if he is shooting 23% from the field. Also, Joe badly needs to work on his defense. I expected a learning curve with the defense, but I didn’t expect the poor shooting.

I had a bunch of really old Star Wars stuff that my brother game me when he was in his early teens. I had outgrown it and put it all in a large box and put it up in the attic. I had at least 25-30 toys. All in used condition, but I had the Millenium Falcon and a bunch of the action figures. Yeah, so I got a job washing dishes at a restaurant when I was 14. I don’t even know how we got on the subject, but one of the line cooks learned about my stash and offered to buy it from me. I remember I brought it in to work, he looked it over for a few minutes, and promptly offered me $30 for the box. That was almost a week’s pay fo me at $4.25 minimum wage. I accepted the deal in about 2 seconds. He probably made 200-300 off that deal ?

This season is going to be a long one. Awful defense, even worse rebounding, and we have no one that can create offense within 18 feet of the hoop. Losing out on Isaiah Stewart to UW doomed this team for the 19-20 season. Glad I didn’t buy tickets to my son’s birthday game yet...?

Deep frying a turkey is nothing to be afraid of if you’re not a moron. 1. Don’t use too much oil. IIRC, the last time I did one I used about 4 or 5 gallons of peanut oil. My turkey fryer “pot” has a fill mark that makes this easy. Bought it at Bass Pro. 2. Keep your fryer set up on a stable surface and far away from any structures. Keep the kids inside while you’re doing it. 3. Of course, make sure the turkey is completely thawed and dry. Water + hot oil= YouTube video. 4. Make sure you use a thermometer to maintain the oil temp at around 350. It’s really not that hard. I’ve never done the seasoning rubs or injections, so I can’t speak to that. I typically just season liberally with kosher salt and pepper. Enjoy!! You’ll be fine.
