  1. Not at all. It's just what you are saying makes no sense. But, if be happy to read your theory on how players and coaches fighting for jobs decide to play/coach poorly on purpose so if they are on the team next year the rookie might be a pick or three higher. Seriously, explain it to us, how it works...
  2. Who on the Bills would be tempted to lose? The logic being if they don't get cut in the offseason then they can look forward to getting a rookie one or two spots higher in the draft? Hahaha. Hilarious
  3. Always cracks me up when people say things like this. 53 guys fighting for jobs and coaching staffs trying to prove themselves = trying to win every game.
  4. I think the issue with Stevie is he's just miscast as a número uno. He's a good slot receiver but wouldn't be a number one on many teams. I'd be hopeful that if buffalo had a true number one, Stevie would be a much better fit.
  5. I agree that the Giants are phasing him out, which is why he's even available in the first place. It's a classic risk/reward scenario. He's only 25 years old and has the size and playmaking ability the Bills need. However, he's been a injury mess the last couple years. I guess you have to qualify every statement here, but I thought it went without saying that I wouldn't want to Bills to sign him for ludicrous money or extremely long term. Nor do I expect Calving Johnson to come walking though that door. haha…really? You're comparing Hakeem Nicks to Stevie Johnson? First, they are completely different types of receivers. Second, it's not like you can only have one. We have Stevie locked up so you can have both.
  6. I'd be ok with him being brought in as a backup. Let's also sign Hakeem Nicks (also a FA). Nicks. We need Nicks. Nicks.
  7. ha! that was good! Credit where credit is due.
  8. Yep. We are headed for (if not already in) despair.
  9. How is this thread still going on? Is this a record for a troll thread?
  10. It would be nice to have certainty one way or the other, but right now, I don't see how anyone can claim to have certainty. Unfortunately it's kind of a worst case scenario, but what you would expect out of a rookie QB. EJ has shown some flashes at times and has been flat out horrible at others. So, it's a wait and see and hope situation.
  11. JM is probably a second or third rounder (most likely second). If he's there when Buffalo picks in the second, its an intriguing idea. As much as I can't stand his schtick, maybe that's what Buffalo needs. A guy so confident and successful in college that he won't get caught in the losing culture here. At this point, why not. EJ is making me feel worse week after week.
  12. The Bills and the Front Office need to start doing the opposite of their instinct. It worked for George: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EzxfivZF9Yk
  13. I am intrigued at the possibility of taking Johnny Football in Round 2. I think most experts have him as a Round 2 or Round 3 prospect at this point. Personally, I think the kid is a huge dbag and love seeing him lose at A&M. But as far as on the field performance and swagger, I think he might have what Buffalo needs. Someone who's almost so high on himself and abilities that he is immune to the losing culture.
  14. If a troll falls in the woods….
  15. Well, I 'gave up' last week so this week I was flipping around and watching other games while doing things around the house. Next year I'll get sucked back in and start the process all over again. PS - what's with the "loosing" joke I see all over the place around here?
  16. Bandwagon Nation http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/new-england-bandwagon-nation-ken-knight/1013907811 written by NE native….very interesting
  17. This is a joke, right? Has to be. Here's a little history lesson. The year prior to Luck getting in Indy, they won 2 games. Since then they are 19 - 10 and have made the playoffs two straight years. Yeah..luck is terrible. Wouldn't trade him for EJ straight up.
  18. HA. There should be an age minimum for posting on this site. 12 year olds getting a hold of their mom's iPad add nothing to the discussion. Hopefully it's nap time soon though
  19. You got it Dirk! The Lions lost yesterday too, so we should expect Calvin Johnson to hit the unemployment line soon. I hope Dallas loses tonight so Dez Bryant gets cut, but if not, Brandon Marshall will.
  20. haha…makes no sense whatsoever. Keep trying though...
  21. Not true. I've been saying this since the minute he got cut. I thought it was a shortsighted and boneheaded move. At the time I didn't have anything to back it up. Now in his first game that he's actually received a target, he caught 6 balls for over 100 yards and 2 TDs.
  22. Then I guess they were wrong. His performance yesterday pretty much speaks for itself. 100 yards and 2 TDs. Taking a slant 69 yards to the house while breaking tackles. yeah..he sucks.
  23. I think too many times coaches and front offices can outthink themselves. It doesn't take a rocket surgeon to handle this situation correctly. Let's break it down, starting from training camp: 1) The Bills were in full re-build mode, we were not winning anything this year. 2) New coaching staff and new FO (mostly) will have a few years to get this together 3) While the Bills went into the season with some weapons on offense, what we didn't have was a big, physical receiver. The holy grail of non-QB offensive players 4) We picked up an extremely gifted WR that fits a role we don't have. He's beyond raw. 5) In the NFL, there's this thing called the practice squad, where you can stash players that don't make the active squad. This is primarily for developing a few young players that aren't ready for prime time. Think the NFL equivalent of MLB's AAA. 6) In keeping Rogers on the PS, you risk NOTHING!! If he acts up, if he is lazy, if he gets in trouble, if he's so dumb he can't read the playbook, if he trips over the sideline and hurts his knee, you can CUT him. 7) In the regular season, he will have more time to get accustomed to how the NFL works, witness the veterans and see what it's like to be a professional, get better coaching than the University of Tennessee A&M State College or wherever he went. If he can't pick it up, CUT him. What happened though is the coaches and front office over thought it and decided they couldn't send that message to the rest of the team. In my opinion, that's more of an indictment on the FO and coaches than anything else. If you are worried that the team is going to get distracted or influenced by a practice squad guy who could get cut at any minute and has never played a down in the NFL, then you've got huge problems.
  24. At least we have Edawn Coughman, Ikponmwosa Igbinosun, Cordell Roberson, and Jamaal Johnson-Webb on the practice squad. What a joke
  25. Hey Kemp, I respect the fact that you feel that way and am impressed you'd put that on a Bills website! I don't share your feelings, however. They are like Bill Lambier to me. You'd love to have him on your team, but if not you hate him. I lothe the Patriots. Partly because of how good they've been for so long and how much they've dominated the Bills. B&B just take it to the next level. The third is how undeserving Boston fans are. I lived there for a very long time. Most people didn't even know about the Patriots until their run in 2001. It was and always will be a baseball town. When the inevitable slide comes, which it is, they will revert selling out half the stadium and being stuffed somewhere in the middle of the Herald.
