rothlesberger blames bills field for decastro injury
billsfan89 replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
On ESPN they said it was only a torn MCL, and that DeCastro could come back half way through the season. It usually takes 3+ months to come back from one of those so it would be late November before he could come back. I think that they likely IR him. -

Is the rebuilding project over in Buffalo?
billsfan89 replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The team is built up to make a run at the playoffs but is it ready to make a superbowl? No there are holes on the roster. But there are a lot fewer holes then three years ago. -
Is the rebuilding project over in Buffalo?
billsfan89 replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Rebuilding would be over if the Bills were a contender to win a Super Bowl. Right now they are a legit playoff contender but they aren't a top tier AFC team yet. The Bills need two things to happen for the rebuilding process to be "over". 1- The current talent on the team has to develop the talent that's already on it. Fitz has to be a legit QB, the D has to step up, ect. 10-6 plus a playoff birth. 2- The next off-season has to fill the remaining holes on the team plus resign Levitre, Byrd, Urbik and whoever develops on the team. The rebuilding is progressing but its far from done. Keep next years picks unless something really good at a low cost pops up. -
And the search for the Bills MLB begins
billsfan89 replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Likely if Shep gets hurt they would want to slide Morrison to MLB and get Moats off the bench -
Only way Jacksonville would do it is if they are insane. No one trades themselves into a QB controversy (Except the Jets) this late into camp. And lets say they are desperate for Tebow you think that a mid level RB plus Tebow are enough? They would have to throw in a second rounder at least for that trade to make any sense. If Jacksonville is trading away MJD they are getting a 2nd rounder plus other considerations at the very least.

Bills 2010 Draft... really terrible
billsfan89 replied to HeHateMe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed even if CJ pans out to be an elite RB, and Moats comes in and contributes as a quality depth player, its still a huge blemish on the record of Nix. Also A.Williams and Sheppard have to pan out too (Although its looking much better for those guys) for that 2011 draft to be a success. But unless Troup comes back from IR and is a good third DT its looking like that draft is a D+ at best a C- (IF Spiller is elite and Moats is a solid starter). -
Madden's rankings are always !@#$ed up high in general. Only year they got the ranking system right was Madden 10 when they went with a system of 90-100- Elite at your position 84-89- Pro Bowler 80-83- Good Borderline Probowler 75-79- Solid Starter but far from elite 70-74- Average mediocre player but starting caliber 60's- Good Backup 50's- Third Stringer Now if you aren't ranked in the 80's you suck. Its sad just how much Madden caved to people not understanding that rating system If I had to give my rankings of some key Bills players M.Williams- 92 K.Williams- 88 M.Dareus- 87 M.Anderson-79 Kelsay- 76 Barnett- 82 Sheppard-73 Byrd-85 Wilson-83 McGee- 77 Fitz- 79 F.Jackson- 85 CJ.- 79 Stevie- 85 D.Nelson- 77 E.Wood- 83 A.Levitre-85 Chandler-76

Irsay tweets Colts Trade rumor
billsfan89 replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Rodgers plus a pick for Wayne hell yes. A.Williams for Fleener pass? We need another target Wayne is a stud with a few years left. Rodgers has potential but WR is a much bigger need. Either way I don't see either trade happening. -
Justin Rogers : surprise player of the year
billsfan89 replied to QB Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The way I see the starting lineup at CB going is Gilmore A.Williams McGee McKelvin (Who will play significant time) Brooks J.Rodgers I could easily see McGee getting hurt and McKelvin seeing less or a role in favor of J.Rodgers and Brooks. But for now I don't think that the team wants to throw too many unproven players into the fire just yet. -
Skip Bayless - Professional Asshat
billsfan89 replied to SageAgainstTheMachine's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Skip Bayless is the Glen Beck of sports media and no one should pay attention to him he is an ass. However his accusations against Jeter are valid in my opinion. No one in baseball is beyond those accusations even if it is duh Jeter. The guy is 38 at a position where people don't play at that age or suffer a sever decline in play if they do. Why is out of the question that he might be on PED's? -
Two Bills Drive has a fantasy football league, 11 members are in and have paid dues. But due to one person falling out we are short 1 person to make it an even 12 team league. I know its short notice as our fantasy draft is tonight at 8pm but if anyone wants to get in on fantasy football (20$ buy in prize is 150$ for 1st, 60$ for second, 30$ for third) please PM me. We did payment over Paypal. Please PM me if you are interested we only need one more player. Rules and details are on this thread http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/148820-two-bills-drive-fantasy-football/

Clayton: Jets have empty bucket at RT
billsfan89 replied to The Big Cat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fergueson is Joe Jacoby compared to Wayne Hunter. Also as good as Mangold is he hasn't been a rock this pre-season. Their guard situation isn't exactly settled. Their whole line has been weak this pre-season and they are coming off of a weak season from the season before. Since Alan Faneca left the Jets Line has just been bad. -
Clayton: Jets have empty bucket at RT
billsfan89 replied to The Big Cat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Its too late for them to get a quality RT. Even if they wait for cuts they are going to have to wait for final cuts just to get a quality backup to fall into their laps. Hunter is their starting RT week 1, I doubt they could bring in a guy that can get a grasp on their playbook for week one once the final cuts come. -
Glenn has looked decent in two pre-season games. Which for a rookie going against two pretty dam good pash rushers proves to me that he can handle the position and that he only stands to improve. Great pick by the Bills. Glen and Gilmore seem to be having a nice impact early on always what you want from your first two picks.
-
Seems like the Bills just didn't think he was a fit for the 4-3. Also seems like he wasn't physically where the Bills wanted him to be at. Interesting I thought he would make a good 4-3 situational pass rusher. Seems like outside of Kelsay/Anderson they didn't have much depth at DE. Wounder who makes the roster in Merriman's place. Also it does free up 4.5 million of cap room, good move to get Byrd and Levitre deals done.
-
Unless he shows up in the next preseason game I honestly don't see him making it on the final roster. The dude has shown nothing that makes me think he can contribute at an NFL level or stay healthy. Jones, Haggan, Roosevelt, Stevie, TJ, and Nelson as the WR's
-
No way they make this deal this year. If they really like Cousins they will offer a pick in next years draft (Which at that point wouldn't you just draft a QB you like in next years draft?). Right now we need all the help we can get at WR and TJ is showing up this pre-season so its a greater sense of urgency to keep TJ as we don't have much at WR outside of Stevie and Nelson.

Who are the Bills 9 D-Line?
billsfan89 replied to NC Bills Brigade's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mario Williams Dareus K.Williams M.Anderson Kelsay Merriman S.Johnson D.Edwards K.Heard Troup to IR Moore to PS Carrington and the rest cut -
Glad we got Anderson instead of him, but still upset that the Bills didn't bring in another vet WR even just a mid level type guy.

Guys who looked okay last night and who didn't
billsfan89 replied to bowery4's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I still think that Troup will just get IR'd this season and they will bring him into camp come next season. Too much invested in the guy from a front office stand point to let him go. But there is no way you can have the guy on the roster either. Let him sit out the season and hopefully his back heals up and we can bring him into camp next year and give him one more look. -
Glenn looks competent at LT which for a rookie is really good. I think that he stands to improve a lot with gaining more experience. Even if he washes out at LT I think he can easily be plugged in at RG or RT and be pro bowl caliber at either position. I loved the Glenn pick I think he was guy that will be looked at as the absolute steal of the draft. There were two offensive linemen drafted before Glenn in the second round (Amini Silatolu, from Carolina 1 pick earlier, and Mitchell Schwartz by Cleveland 37th overall) and I think that a few years from now those teams are going to wounder why he slid that far into the second round.
