  1. Welker isn't worth a 3rd rounder to anyone, he is worth more to the Pats* than any other team. He is a 10+ million dollar player on the Pats* and a 6+ million dollar player on other teams. He is a perfect fit with the Pats* why they are they so eager to get rid of him is beyond me (They aren't trading him, but they sure as hell seem like they want to have Eddlemen take his place).
  2. Nix actually wanted to draft Newton had he fallen to third overall. Newton is a young up and coming QB but who knows exactly what he is going to be its still a work in progress.
  3. I don't think Spiller or Freddie will play that much, one of them will go the other will be inactive. I still think Choice gets 60% or more of the carries.
  4. I think they are gonna hold off on playing CJ, no need to rush the guy back so soon one game isn't going to kill him. Freddie I think if he is ready I think they will play him but only use him as a supplement to Choice. CJ is a smaller back and that injury knocked him right out of the game, even if it was just a sprain you shouldn't risk further injury for one game esp if Freddie can give you a good amount of snaps. Give Freddie a 50/50 work load with Choice, have White be the just in case and have CJ sit this one out. It also helps Freddie to not have CJ poach some snaps, Not playing for 3 weeks Freddie could use a solid work load. Then come week 5 we have both our backs back at a 100%.
  5. Its getting to a point where if the NFL doesn't get a deal done soon I am only going to watch the Bills game (On illegal stream non the less) and not watch any other NFL games. I love the Bills so I can't stop watching them but I can stop watching the other NFL games. It sickens me to think a league THAT IS DOING BETTER THAN EVER is pinching pennies when it comes to something as important as officiating games. The regular refs have proven their value meet them half way pay their pension and work out a compromise with the other sticking point of the replacement crews. I am sure if you cave financially they will give you a good deal on the other end. Yes the regular refs get a ton of calls wrong or questionable, BUT its nowhere near as bad as what we have now. The Replacement Refs don't know the procedure of the game and it results in other wise routine calls taking minutes to explain and enforce. In addition to that the refs don't have control over the players either which results in scrums and further delays. The refs are also making bad calls each and every week at a far greater pace than the old refs. It makes me sick how the league has let this happened, as a consumer I hate it and I will do what I can to not stand for it.
  6. I will admit that I thought the Bills should have drafted Bulaga who has been decent but not spectacular with the Pack. Still think T.Cody should have been the pick over Troup.
  7. 93k per team is peanuts to end this mess, just cave the NFL refs have proven they are worth the money and they can't be replaced so easily. The replacements are not only making more bad calls (Lets face it the reg refs blow them too) but they don't know the procedure of the game which is resulting in a slow down of the games and bad calls (Not knowing how to enforce penalties, and mismanaging time outs). I am sure the NFL could get the refs to back down from one or two demands if they meet a lot of their other demands. So I don't care if the refs have some weird demands that aren't about money, if you cave on the money demands you can get them to meet you half way on some other demands.
  8. Not surprised, Moorman was terrible through the first three games. Chan is sending a good message that its about performance not reputation, something that wasn't so in the past years.
  9. IF you are running why throw? No one is saying Fitz is a great QB right now, but the last two games he has made the throws the team needed him to and didn't make mistakes. But its clear that teams will force Fitz to win games throwing deep, lets hope he is up to the task when that happens.
  10. Once they get win number 9. I keep saying that they need a winning record this season in order to start a turn around.
  11. They didn't suspend him for Spygate they aren't going to do anything but a small fine.
  12. They didn't make it a high profile priority right away but Its weird because each year they have acquired a starter alongside Wood and Levitre as the foundation. 2010- Urbik 2011- Pears 2012- Glenn It wasn't until 2011 that the unit with Urbik and Pears entrenched along the right side that the unit started to improve. At 5-2 last year the O-line was really coming into its own. But Wood got hurt and Bell also went down. The O-line never really recovered from the injuries it sustained. This year Glenn has added the last piece and the line picked up right where they left off.
  13. No way they play CJ against the Pats*, maybe there is some outside shot Freddie can take some snaps. Its a long season Choice and White can run decent behind this line. Lets hope this O-line is the real reason for the teams success in the ground game. Still I think this game against the Pats* is going to be rough lets hope our D is up for the task.
  14. The guy is starting to contribute seriously on ST and him playing the dime makes it much harder to target him like the Jets did. McKelvin as a ST ace who can be plugged in on occasion in certain coverage packages might actually have a future on this team. I know its his last year but I can see him resigning here if he continues to return the ball like this.
  15. I say top 5 because I don't watch each and every team. O-line play is something you have to watch each snap to understand how good they are. Overall I can simply say watching each Bills game that this O-line is playing awesome. Even better than last year at 5-2 thanks to Glenn and the chemistry that the line seems to have developed.
  16. Yeah I would suspend him too but I think they are just going to fine him. He should have gotten a warning and a fine for that hit on Freddie. I think they are going to fine him and let him know he is going to be up for suspension if they keep coming.
  17. I started watching and following the Bills in 00 (I know it hasn't been a fun ride) and for the first time I can finally say that the Bills have a good offensive line. The O-line has been that dam good. Spiller goes down well they just start to open up holes for Choice and White. They also have done a solid job protecting Fitz and getting out blocking for screens. Last season before the injuries to Bell and Wood took over they were playing like this. But now that Wood is back healthy and Glenn has come in and played like a stud this O-line is playing like a top 5 unit in the NFL and its not smoke and mirrors either. Glenn, Wood, and Levitre are all 1st or 2nd round picks two of which have been getting it done for years. Pears and Urbik played well last season and are continuing to do so this year. Glenn doesn't seem to be a flash in the pan either. While I think its possible he will struggle at some point this season I think the good play is going to far out weight the bad play. Also Reinhart and Hairston are quality depth too and Brown is at least a legit backup center in case Wood goes down. Overall I am actually excited to say that as a Bills fan. For once I can actually say that the o-Line is good. For as long as I can remember the O-line has always been an issue not so much anymore.
  18. The D manned up big time. The Bills were only up 17-14 and the offense went 3 and out Cleveland had the ball decent field position and the D got the ball back to the offense. The offense drove the field and put the game away. The D got the turnover and the offense ran the clock (Although they could have had a 1st down on that first drive but that's nit picky). Its Cleveland, but it was an away game in the NFL and you get the hurt of losing the hottest weapon in the NFL early in the game. Throw in a bad call and this game could have gotten away from us. It was starting to remind me of the Cincy game last year. The team gets a lead but it slowly goes away and we let a winable game slip. All in all it was a solid win. Fitz managed another game but made plays when he had to all I can say is the Bills got a win a solid win.
  19. First off no way that was a fumble his hand was moving forward, it just slipped out of his hands. I honestly thought that that turnover was the reason as to why the game was so close before Fitz iced it with that pass to Stevie. The Bills were up 14-0 in clear field goal range. It would have been third and long but even just had they kicked the field goal 17-0 would have been huge. I think it gave Cleveland some life and they turned that into 7 points. But the Bills took that long drive running it down the throats of the D and got a field goal which was huge. It could have been dicey. But had Spiller never gotten hurt it would have been 21-0 or 24-7 and the offense would have been much more consistent. We got the win who cares.
  20. He is a depth player. Dude can play decently and can play both OLB and MLB. Right now they only need him in-case there is an injury. I think had he played more special teams he would be on the active roster.
  21. Cool he is one Bill that truly deserves it. I liked it better when Madden did rankings every 4 weeks or at least every two weeks. Week to week updates are kind of weird and knee jerk.
  22. The D-line and the Safeties are elite for sure or at the worst close to elite. But the in between the CB's and LB's are a work in progress. The CB's are a young group with a lot of potential but they are going to struggle at times, the LB's are a decent group but outside of Barnett there isn't a sure thing on there. Gilmore, Williams, and Sheppard are going to determine how good this D can be.
  23. Week 2 we didn't have to throw down field. No need to force it down field when you are running it like crazy and the short passes were there. Fitz can throw down field when we were 5-2 last year we were a top offense in the NFL tons of big plays down field. Overall when Spiller is killing it why throw deep.
  24. Wanny gets credit for changing the gameplan week 2 but the horrendous gameplan of week 1 should not be over looked. I honestly believe that the defense was just as much a reason as to why we lost week one as Fitz.
  25. That would be the only solution, if under two minutes you had to gain yards in order to run the clock. But still would you want to see a whole bunch of QB sneaks in order to end a game? Its an ugly way to end a game as opposed to a knee. Believe me teams would find a way to game the system. You can't really end the kneel down, teams aren't going to want to see RB's and QB's get hurt on plays to run the clock down.
