  1. The season was on a respirator going into this week, with the win we are still alive but we are far from strong. The Titans at home is a must win the way I prognosticate the season is we have a brutal middle part of the schedule the first 3 games (Jets, Chiefs, Browns) was pretty easy (Which is why I thought that that loss to the Jets was so bad because had we started out 3-0 it would have put the team in a much better position to survive the middle portion of the schedule). But after a relatively easy first 3 weeks we then had a brutal part of the schedule with the Pats*, 49ers (Away), Arizona (Away Which looked like an easy game but suddenly turned into a not so easy matchup), Titans (Which is win-able but much more so a toss up), Houston (Away), and Pats* (Away). That's a 6 game stretch that's just brutal, two west coast games the Pats* twice plus another tough top AFC team in the Texans away. But then the last 7 games of the schedule looks much better Miami twice (Not a slam dunk we should be favored type game but games that the Bills could win without it being considered a major upset), Jacksonville at home (A team that we matchup well against a game we should win), @Indy (A game we could win, Luck is a rookie and the Colts D isn't very good), St.Louis (A home game we should be favored to win), Seattle (In Toronto a game that we will likely be underdogs in but its not hard to see a victory going up against a rookie QB), and @Jets (A Jets team that blew us out but is now missing Revis and Holmes and could be torn apart by Tebow by week 17 a game that like Miami we can win) Even at 4-5 we could go 5-2 in the last 7 games (Jacksonville and St.Louis we should be favored to win, and the Colts, Fins, and Jets games are more than winable, even Seattle is not impossible) which would put us at 9-7 a winning record and a crack at the playoffs.
  2. If the defense is playing well and CJ and Freddie are running the ball we can play conservative and win games. Problem is that the defense doesn't seem to bend it break once things go wrong. If the D can get tougher and the running game stay consistent I think we can win games with Fitz as a manager of the game. But the problem is once you just have your QB as a "manager" it limits your offense and teams will force you to throw it deep or that puts a **** load of pressure on your defense and we see how that can go for our D. Fitz will have to win games our D isn't that good. Can Fitz do it? I guess we have 10 more games to find out.
  3. I think they all play. You never know with Belicheat he always puts players on the injury report. Remember when Brady was always probable or questionable with some non-existent shoulder injury? If Mankins or Volmer can't play its great for us but I think they do play.
  4. If you watched the Bills this season you will know that they haven't gotten run on at all this season. The pass rush has been inconsistent but the run D has been pretty stout. I have never at all this season thought that the Bills run D has been terrible. Even if you think all 3 teams are terrible at running then you have to be able to shut them down. Last year even the terrible running teams were running all over us. I think that the Chiefs are a pretty good running team and we shut them down. Richardson is a pretty good back too, its just his team can't pass around him so he gets shut down because teams won't let him beat him.
  5. Yeah double teamed on just 4 plays and chipped on another 7 sounds like a underestimate. Granted I haven't gone back to watch each and every play but in that KC game I saw at least 4 double teams off the top of my head. I could also think of a handful of times in the other two games where he was doubled. Not saying Mario is doing great (That first game he was invisible) but over the last two games he has at least been a presence on the D-line drawing double teams and getting pressure. Mario is going to have to show what he is worth against the Pats* for sure. I think we can make a solid judgement come week 6 how Mario is actually doing in terms of pass rush.
  6. Its going to come down to two things 1- Can the front 4 get pressure on Brady (We aren't going to get 4 INT's off him again) 2- Can Fitz make plays Belicheat is smart he is going to try and stop the run and force Fitz to throw. As for stopping Brady well the front 4 is the key, tons of money and a high draft choice went into building it lets see if it can do what its designed to.
  7. If Freddie is able to go, I think they hold him out for the week. Spiller is a smaller guy, I think they play it safe with him. Granted if Freddie can't go I think they use CJ but as long as Freddie is good to go I think they will use him and Choice. You don't want to risk Spiller for the rest of the season just to rush him back.
  8. That actually would be good, although I think separating the Ravens and Steelers would make a lot of people frown as that's been one of the better modern rivalries (Past 10 years or so). Still the Ravens would easily develop new rivalries with the Pats* (Who they already have a rivalry brewing) and the Jets (Who can pretty much be a rival with anyone). I wouldn't be opposed to the switch, but I don't think that the NFL is in the mood for any realignment. There doesn't seem to be any unnatural placements or need. But swapping the Bills and Ravens wouldn't be a terrible idea.
  9. The Chiefs gave up a late pick for him it wasn't a Jon Gruden type deal where they gave up massive picks for him. Herm basically got the KC job because the NFL coaches and GM's are basically a big frat house, its tightly knit, if you had even a modest amount of success somewhere its going to get you another shot. Herm was the epitome of average with the Jets, but KC was desperate for a HC and Herm knew the right people. Now after having 2 crappy seasons with the Chiefs and one one and done playoff appearance he has used up that second chance unless he wants to be a coordinator.
  10. Welker isn't worth a 3rd rounder to anyone, he is worth more to the Pats* than any other team. He is a 10+ million dollar player on the Pats* and a 6+ million dollar player on other teams. He is a perfect fit with the Pats* why they are they so eager to get rid of him is beyond me (They aren't trading him, but they sure as hell seem like they want to have Eddlemen take his place).
  11. Nix actually wanted to draft Newton had he fallen to third overall. Newton is a young up and coming QB but who knows exactly what he is going to be its still a work in progress.
  12. I don't think Spiller or Freddie will play that much, one of them will go the other will be inactive. I still think Choice gets 60% or more of the carries.
  13. I think they are gonna hold off on playing CJ, no need to rush the guy back so soon one game isn't going to kill him. Freddie I think if he is ready I think they will play him but only use him as a supplement to Choice. CJ is a smaller back and that injury knocked him right out of the game, even if it was just a sprain you shouldn't risk further injury for one game esp if Freddie can give you a good amount of snaps. Give Freddie a 50/50 work load with Choice, have White be the just in case and have CJ sit this one out. It also helps Freddie to not have CJ poach some snaps, Not playing for 3 weeks Freddie could use a solid work load. Then come week 5 we have both our backs back at a 100%.
  14. Its getting to a point where if the NFL doesn't get a deal done soon I am only going to watch the Bills game (On illegal stream non the less) and not watch any other NFL games. I love the Bills so I can't stop watching them but I can stop watching the other NFL games. It sickens me to think a league THAT IS DOING BETTER THAN EVER is pinching pennies when it comes to something as important as officiating games. The regular refs have proven their value meet them half way pay their pension and work out a compromise with the other sticking point of the replacement crews. I am sure if you cave financially they will give you a good deal on the other end. Yes the regular refs get a ton of calls wrong or questionable, BUT its nowhere near as bad as what we have now. The Replacement Refs don't know the procedure of the game and it results in other wise routine calls taking minutes to explain and enforce. In addition to that the refs don't have control over the players either which results in scrums and further delays. The refs are also making bad calls each and every week at a far greater pace than the old refs. It makes me sick how the league has let this happened, as a consumer I hate it and I will do what I can to not stand for it.
  15. I will admit that I thought the Bills should have drafted Bulaga who has been decent but not spectacular with the Pack. Still think T.Cody should have been the pick over Troup.
  16. 93k per team is peanuts to end this mess, just cave the NFL refs have proven they are worth the money and they can't be replaced so easily. The replacements are not only making more bad calls (Lets face it the reg refs blow them too) but they don't know the procedure of the game which is resulting in a slow down of the games and bad calls (Not knowing how to enforce penalties, and mismanaging time outs). I am sure the NFL could get the refs to back down from one or two demands if they meet a lot of their other demands. So I don't care if the refs have some weird demands that aren't about money, if you cave on the money demands you can get them to meet you half way on some other demands.
  17. Not surprised, Moorman was terrible through the first three games. Chan is sending a good message that its about performance not reputation, something that wasn't so in the past years.
  18. IF you are running why throw? No one is saying Fitz is a great QB right now, but the last two games he has made the throws the team needed him to and didn't make mistakes. But its clear that teams will force Fitz to win games throwing deep, lets hope he is up to the task when that happens.
  19. Once they get win number 9. I keep saying that they need a winning record this season in order to start a turn around.
  20. They didn't suspend him for Spygate they aren't going to do anything but a small fine.
  21. They didn't make it a high profile priority right away but Its weird because each year they have acquired a starter alongside Wood and Levitre as the foundation. 2010- Urbik 2011- Pears 2012- Glenn It wasn't until 2011 that the unit with Urbik and Pears entrenched along the right side that the unit started to improve. At 5-2 last year the O-line was really coming into its own. But Wood got hurt and Bell also went down. The O-line never really recovered from the injuries it sustained. This year Glenn has added the last piece and the line picked up right where they left off.
  22. No way they play CJ against the Pats*, maybe there is some outside shot Freddie can take some snaps. Its a long season Choice and White can run decent behind this line. Lets hope this O-line is the real reason for the teams success in the ground game. Still I think this game against the Pats* is going to be rough lets hope our D is up for the task.
  23. The guy is starting to contribute seriously on ST and him playing the dime makes it much harder to target him like the Jets did. McKelvin as a ST ace who can be plugged in on occasion in certain coverage packages might actually have a future on this team. I know its his last year but I can see him resigning here if he continues to return the ball like this.
  24. I say top 5 because I don't watch each and every team. O-line play is something you have to watch each snap to understand how good they are. Overall I can simply say watching each Bills game that this O-line is playing awesome. Even better than last year at 5-2 thanks to Glenn and the chemistry that the line seems to have developed.
  25. Yeah I would suspend him too but I think they are just going to fine him. He should have gotten a warning and a fine for that hit on Freddie. I think they are going to fine him and let him know he is going to be up for suspension if they keep coming.
