  1. It's always tough to bounce back from a concussion early in the season. At least later in the year you don't have to go through the rigors of the season. At least he can get his head right for a few weeks in camp.
  2. The Bills were all sorts of incompetent back then. Hopefully the recent drafts which are look good turn out to be real gems. Since Buddy took over post 2010 draft (I can't knock him too much for the Spiller draft since he wasn't there in the beginning of the scouting process, since 2011 the drafts have been solid).
  3. Putting the Fins above the Bills is a travesty. Shu is legit and Wake is a beast but I don't see the quality of depth that the Bills have. The Rams and Bills are a toss up. Long and Quinn are legit and Donald is a beast and Brockers and Fairly are more than solid.
  4. D'Rick got a lot of hype maybe just as much if not more but people really wanted Jasper to be successful as though everyone on the board knew him personally. People thought Rogers was a great prospect that got buried due to personal issues and thought the Bills got a steal. But with Jasper the hype and hope was there in spades.
  5. I don't think there was ever a marginal prospect that got more hype and more good will from the fans here. People really wanted him to succeed and be the next Ted Washington. Of course there is a reason a player goes in the 7th round and it showed in how he was never able to play with good technique and the NFL doesn't have a D-league where one can work on their craft so ones time to improve is always limited. Still I hope Jasper finds a niche in life. He has been bouncing around the NFL but didn't have a team last year and isn't in a camp this year. Also being almost 29 means his window to be in the NFL isn't wide open. I think he could honestly go to WWE and make a good living as a pro-wrestler. He is huge, carries his weight well, is very physically imposing, and is very athletic. Tons of former football players have had success in that after their NFL careers were over. At 29 he could get into wrestling and do it for a fairly long time. Bill Goldberg comes to mind as an example.
  6. I really like McCoy from a fantasy perspective, esp in a PPR league. The Bills defense will keep the team in games so they will be running the ball late in games. Also the Bills will be counting on McCoy to give them a lot of offense so he will definitely see carries, and with a limited QB they will definitely be dumping down to him at least 4-7 times a game making for some cheap points. He is fairly young so he should fall off a cliff so check that concern off the list. The Bills O-line is a concern, but I think InCog and Cyrus come in and improve the play of the unit while the coaching on the unit overall will be much better. It won't be a great O-line but it should be serviceable.
  7. I always loved Rex's schemes defensively. So many different looks and packages. I think this years Bills defense has the talent and versatility to be one of Rex's strongest defenses.
  8. McKelvin will be on the roster this year. With Graham moving to Safety they need McKelvin to be 4 corners deep. Injuries happen you need to keep depth at the corner position.
  9. Can't the team let camp play out a bit more? Everyone is so easy to panic.
  10. Seems like a good guy to kick the tires on. A lot of physical tools but it just hasn't manifested its self yet. Most likely camp fodder or a practice squad guy.
  11. Solid move to save some space for next season. The Bills are pushing up against the cap next year so getting almost 4 million on next years cap should allow the Bills to retain more talent. However I wouldn't mind seeing the Bills bringing in a veteran guard. Of course at this point in the process there won't be much out there but right now they have Urbik, InCog, and Miller. They should bring in someone else (Maybe a cap casualty or a middling veteran).
  12. He went 7-4 with Denver in the regular season (Including 5 wins coming when opponents scored 10 points twice and 13 points twice, and 15 points once clearly defense was the factor) and got lucky that despite losing in week 17 (with a win and your in caveat, and the Chiefs only scoring 7 points) that the Chargers beat the Raiders in week 17 to send the Broncos to the playoffs. Also the Broncos lost to the Bills 40-17 week 16 that year. Then in the playoffs after beating a Steelers (A team that completely played into the Broncos hands) the Broncos got smoked by the Pats* round 2 by a score of 45-10. That's not a very impressive run if you ask me. The Broncos were such a stacked team that once Peyton Manning got there in 2012 they ran off a 13-3 record and had great years in 2013 and 2014. So stop with this "All this guy does is win crap", Tons of mediocre QB's have piggy backed off of great defenses to have a good stretch. But the Jets traded for him and he couldn't out duel Sanchez, the Pats* kings of reclamation projects couldn't do anything with him. I don't think he was blackballed. Teams understood context and what their eyes were telling them. The Broncos jumped on the chance to get Manning and dump a bad QB for a good one. Tebow didn't get any interest as a starter and landed on a team looking for a QB competition. He fizzled out on the Jets and then got another chance on the Pats* who passed on him. Hardly a blackball simple career progression. I understand that Philly after a year or two of working on his mechanics might be a better situation for him. But don't think he got rubbed out of the league for no reason.
  13. Should have worked on his mechanics during college. It might be too little too late in his career to completely change his style in such a vital component in his career.
  14. Maybin was just not an NFL talent. Knew he was going to be a bust right away. Good to hear he is doing well.
  15. This could be a huge setback for the Texans. Clowney and Watt could have been a dominant duo. They also made a smart addition in Wilfork at the Nose and they had a good overall team defense.
  16. Seems like a good idea to kick the tires on this guy.
  17. I think the offense will be better. McCoy, Harvin if healthy, and Clay are all serious playmakers. Sammy and Woods are also returning and the O-line should improve with improved progression and coaching as well as InCog and Miller added. QB play will either be the same with Cassell as an Orton type level of play or EJ will take the job and progress. I don't expect the Bills offense to be in the top 10 but I think it will be near the 16 spot and that's good enough with the defense to make the playoffs.
  18. Anyone who is representing themselves in most cases is an idiot. Yeah it sucks to have to give 5% of your salary to someone but it will cost you way more to not have someone well versed in the business of negotiation in your corner. That's a very specific thing where an agent may not be necessary with a slotting system. But a good agent will negotiate other outside endorsements and deals for their client. A player isn't going to have time to make those sorts of calls.
  19. I suspect it will be down to Brown or Karlos. If they cut Karlos they will try to keep him on the practice squad. Although if Freddie or Boobie look like crap and the other two looks good then they could be on the block. Outside of Shady I don't think anyone is safe. Camp performance will be huge for these backs. Although I think Bryce Brown is the most vulnerable the other three aren't untouchable.
  20. I think Rex and the Bills front office must have liked what they have in Powell. It is the only explanation as to why the team did not go after a more veteran option to backup the MLB position. I do think that the team if depleted from injury at that position could bring back Spikes who is sitting out on the street (don't think they will but you never know).
  21. I really like McCoy from a fantasy perspective esp if you are PPR. For one the Bills defense is going to be good enough where they will be in close games thus they will most likely be running the ball throughout the game. Bills O-line is a concern but I think Kujo and InCog will be useful additions along with an improvement in coaching and scheme. The Bills also will likely have a conservative passing game and will be dumping it down to McCoy a lot.
  22. Hoping to be able to draft both of them in fantasy football. Probably won't get to.
  23. Throw out a huge net and you will pull in some fish type deal. But still Duke, a porn star? Come on, you don't need to go digging in the garbage for that. I hope the guys in the locker room give him a all in good fun ribbing for that one. It must really suck to be famous now as opposed to 20+ years ago. Before the internet and cell phones with cameras you would hear stories of rock bands and athletes having girls in every city that wouldn't !@#$ up their life. Now anytime you just want to get a hot piece of ass you have to make sure she isn't the type of girl that would sell you out for 5 seconds of social media fame. If I was ever fortunate enough to be a pro athlete I would get a vasectomy and never have a monogamous relationship till I was way into my 30's. Too much opportunity for exploitation
