Reminds me of Vicks 100 million dollar deal, likely just 6 one year deals or at worst a two year type deal. I feel like its a lot of NFL style dollars that Romo will never actually see.

Pretty much, agree. Granted the Marrone hire is going to be determined by his on field production more so than anything else. But in three years how much better off is the roster than when Buddy took it over? While after the Jauron years I thought the team was devoid of talent outside of a few pieces now while I think the roster is in better shape but not by much. And after three seasons that's how badly the job has been done.

Dalton and Kaepernick are more so products of the systems/organizations they play for. The only QB we really missed out on was Russell Wilson who despite his sensational rookie year still has the jury out on him (And considering he went in round 3 clearly a lot of other teams missed too). Dalton and Kaepernick play for teams with very good defenses. The Bengals don't ask Dalton to do too much while the 49ers have a uber talented team and good scheme built around Kaepernick. Overall I feel like the success those players have had more so goes to show that putting people in a position to have success and utilize their skills works. What I knock Nix for is his inability to hit on the players he has drafted. Troup and A.Williams being key players. Both second rounders who are struggling. And Nix better hope that Dareus, Gilmore, and Spiller live up to their potential too because if they turn out to be just decent players (Or in Spillers case a guy that can't stay on the field) then Nix has a indefensible record. Overall its hard to find a QB but when you draft pieces to build the rest of your roster you better build that roster. Had we hit on those 2nd rounders this team would be in a much better position with that alone.

If the Raiders outright release him I wouldn't mind bringing him in on a two year deal less than 5 million per. I think T.Jackson sucks and I much rather have Palmer be the veteran stop gap guy as opposed to Jackson. Also as a one year type deal I am not opposed to Palmer much better QB class next year.

I don't know if his previous salary is any indication as to what he would expect, you are worth what someone is willing to pay you this year.

If its the truth I am not going to take to task a ex-football player who I don't know calling his former teammate (Who I don't know) wife ugly. I am not going to be outraged on behalf of someone I don't know when all they did was tell the truth.

I understand people get in trouble for telling the truth because there has to be such a thing as context. But on a radio show calling someones wife ugly when by societal standards its the truth shouldn't get someone in trouble. I don't think you should feign outrage on behalf of someone else when what was said was the truth and in a perfectly acceptable context. People need to stop being so sensitive and outraged on others behalfs.

I am not saying that Wilfork or his wife don't have the right to be upset but to feign outrage on their behalf for someone telling the truth is ridiculous. I wouldn't want strangers outraged about a person saying a truthful/hurtful statement about my family provided what they said was true and not said in an attempt at humor.

I didn't know you could get in trouble for telling the truth. Vince Wilfork's wife is ugly (By what men usually consider ugly) but that's up to Vince Wilfork if he has a problem with it. Also black men seem to love fat white women for some reason.

I would like Casey Hampton we don't really have a pure NT on the roster. Yeah Darues and D.Williams have played well at NT but I think having a true space eater from a winning team/system would be a good fit. Leonard and B.Scott would be good fits as cheap backups to help teach the system. B.Moore would be a good fit to fill a hole on the O-line for a year or two. Still some good bargains out there but they need to start on it quickly

The Raiders and Chargers and even Jags are much more likely to move to LA than the Bills. I don't discount it as a possibility for the Bills to move there but I think its less likely now.

The only two things I will say as a negative is that Spikes will take away time from younger players and he doesn't know the system. At least with a guy like Bart Scott you get someone who can help teach the new system. Spikes would likely be learning along with the new guys. Hopefully they can bring in a couple of LB's, a NT, and a Guard before the draft gets here. That being said if they did bring in Spikes it wouldn't be the worst thing.

The jury is still out for sure. But I don't have an issue with the Freddie extension it wasn't big money and it wasn't guaranteed beyond the first year which we are past now. Freddie wasn't a mistake at all if you ask me.

Have to believe they would trade Byrd if they didn't want to sign him I think that its likely he is going to see $$. In a passing league DB's are going to get paid fairly well.
