Team really needs a backup QB, EJ should and will be the starter, when he played he did what you would expect from a young QB. Lets see if the kid can stay healthy and what he can do in year two. I don't know what veteran options are out there but we should bring in someone as a backup.

Canadian OT on Bills radar

What's wrong with Keanu Reeves? Dude was Neo and Ted in Bill and Ted. -
18 game regular season "dead in the water"
billsfan89 replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The NFL Season is perfect the way it is, the playoffs give the perfect incentive to finish in first place (Bye week plus home field advantage). Why they keep !@#$ing with the format is beyond me. -
Report: Bills express interest in Kenny Britt
billsfan89 replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This smart bargain shopping the Bills are doing. Talent Wise Britt is the type of receiver the Bills need big with some speed, an outside of the slot type presence. Depends what type of money he will command but its a good look to kick the tires on the guy. -
The Bills are doing an excellent job in Free Agency
billsfan89 replied to 1B4IDie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Spikes and Graham are really nice free agents that fill key defensive needs. Rivers isn't the best addition but he at worst adds some decent depth. Williams was underwhelming considering they will be shifting him into a starting role and they paid a decent price for him. And if Dixon signs that's a nice signing too. I also like them bringing back Chandler Overall despite the Williams misstep its been a decent off-season. They still have some work to do but its a nice start. Safety would be a nice area to find a player in. I like what they are doing its not perfect but they are signing the types of players they need to. -
I want one more guy on defense- Terrence Cody, NT
billsfan89 replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I didn't know he was a free agent, it would be a really nice signing. You can't be too deep at DT. If the demand for him isn't there it would be a prudent move to add some depth to the middle. -
Spikes confirmed visiting OBD. Confirmed Signed

Spikes one year deal mid level money, really nice deal for both. Spikes gets decent money on a prove it type deal while the Bills get some help at MLB in the run department. He is a liability in the passing game for sure but we can work around that. Overall I like the signing, its an earth shattering type signing but considering how the team lacked a presence in the run game and LB's overall its a nice deal. -
That might have inflated his numbers but its still not enough of a justification to give a guy who even if you adjusted for that fact still was mediocre at best, is going to make people question your decision making. Hopefully they saw something in Williams that can be corrected and turn him around.

Scott chandler re signs with Bills
billsfan89 replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mid levelish tight end, still good to see him back. Hopefully they still examine getting an upgrade, Chandler would probably be best effective as a number 2 tight end. -
Wilfork asks pats to release him
billsfan89 replied to QB Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Be interesting to see him on the Bills. We run 3 deep at DT already but we could use the upgrade in run D. Very interesting to see. Although I do hate the guy and will be glad to not see him in a Pats* uni. -
Bills sign CB Corey Graham--interview on BB.com
billsfan89 replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Really good signing. Shows the front office is aware of the teams needs. Not sure if Rivers or Williams was the best signings but they were at least at positions of need. Graham however is a good signing. -
Byrd got the deal he was expecting about 9 million a year. Bills were right to pass on that kind of deal.

I'm mad as hell & I'm not gonna take it any more!
billsfan89 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let the off-season play out. There is no need to go out and overspend on guys when you can find good players on the cheap. Its a deep class of corners and a deep class of guards plenty of guys to be had there without splurging for a splashy signing. Granted the Bills could be a non-factor but let it play out before you call them anything. -
The market for corners is a really good one. Revis getting traded or possibly cut, all sorts of vet corners who are still pretty decent getting cut. Good corners hitting the market on top of all that. Its definitely a buyers market that the Bills should be in on. They are a little thin at corner and there is no need to burn a pick on a corner when you have a market filled with them.

Everson Griffen & the rising cost of FAs
billsfan89 replied to thebandit27's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He is a very versatile player seems like he played a lot of DT and DE for the Vikings he wasn't put into a pass rushing situation due to playing behind Jared Allen. I saw the contract and thought the same thing that this was a gross overpay, I talked to a couple of die hard Viking fans I know and they said he is a very good player but that his stats were not indicative of his play. -
The guy is a big name as he use to be a top 5 guard a couple of seasons ago but injuries the last two seasons have slowed him down. Wouldn't mind bringing him in as a backup but I would hardly want him as the solution to LG. Better free agent options available

Gilmore adds yoga to his fitness regimen
billsfan89 replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I started doing yoga a few months ago and I can honestly say its a great core workout and a great place to pick up chicks. Good for Gilmore to add it to his regimen hopefully he stays healthy. -
They are decent looking but I think they are trying a little too hard. I prefer simpler uni designs but as far as the more complex designs go this one is pretty good.

Who are "your" Draft busts - then and now
billsfan89 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought Arraon Maybin was going to be terrible the minute the pick happened. -
I wouldn't trade up to take him even if the cost was just the Bills 1st and 2nd round picks. Odds are the Bills won't be huge movers and shakers in free agency so they need to fill needs in the draft. As much as I like Clowney (If I Was the Texans I Would draft him 1st overall, mainly because I Don't see any other stand out player) he doesn't come without a lot of serious risks (Every draft pick does but he has more than you want from a top 5 pick).
-
Only reason why I wouldn't want a guard in the draft is because we should be able to get a guard in free agency with mid level money. If we spent the 9th overall pick on a RT I would be fine with that, you got a young QB who needs protection and its a hard position to find. But with the second round pick we should add a WR or Tight End instead of a guard which could be found in free agency.

The cost of living doesn't double every 10 years if you calculate inflation for 2.6 million in 1986 to 2013 dollars then it would be about 5.6 million. Even the most generous inflation rates wouldn't put it about 8 million. http://data.bls.gov/cgi-bin/cpicalc.pl?cost1=2%2C600%2C000.00&year1=1986&year2=2013

Pettine's defense was much improved from previous seasons. But there had to be changes coming no matter what, the team was so porous against the run at times (And susceptible against the pass at times too, although that was due more so to injuries) that there had to be some changes coming.

Check out the Bills' redesigned uniforms!
billsfan89 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
All those uni designs look terrible, its trying too hard there is just too much going on, its a uniform you don't need to reinvent the wheel with it.
