  1. Always be trying to improve, if there is a guy who you feel can help the organization why would the timing matter? Also from what I am hearing the guys they hired are pro scouts who mostly scout talent in the league currently.
  2. Whatever the Bills do they should just let the draft come to them, hold steady at 9 and then see who is there and trade down if there is a trade to be had and a top guy isn't there.
  3. I think you could go RT in round two, for sure it needs to be addressed in the first two rounds but I think tightend is just as glaring a need. I wouldn't be surprised if they take a RT in round 2 and then grab another for depth in round 4-5. But I think its more than likely they go early on RT. Barring a trade down I think they go offense in both round 1 and 2 and then just go for depth and best player available in the mid to late rounds.
  4. Unless Mack falls I don't see a defensive player worth taking over Evans or Ebron. Ebron would add a big possibly dynamic target to an already decent WR core (Not to mention Chandler still in the mix as a backup). Evans is a really good talent too but with the Williams trade it would clog up that position. I think the Bills are going to go defense heavy in rounds 3-5, build depth for the secondary and front seven while the first two picks try and plug up some key holes on offense (RT and Tightend being good holes to plug). If Ebron, Evans, and Mack aren't there I could honestly see a trade down which would be even better as picking up picks would be a really good idea.
  5. No way, even if Woods emerges as a legit receiver and Williams returns to his past form (Solid number 2 WR) we could and would need Stevie. Stevie could be a killer out of the slot esp if there are two outside targets that are legit and depending on the draft a tight end worth keying on.
  6. The first two picks are good fills up some needs on offense, although I think with the Willams signing we might not be looking at a guard but at a RT in round two. Only pick I have an issue with is round 3 going after a RB. A DE, RT, FS, or LB would make more sense there.
  7. Even if Mike Williams lives up to what he was in his better years in Tampa and Stevie does what he has done, we would still need Robert Woods and Goodwin to take that next step in order for the WR core to feature a full complement. Woods more so, I think Woods is very key to how that core develops. Of course adding a receiving tight end early in the draft would add another weapon for EJ.
  8. I really like this move. Its basically a one year tryout (His big money doesn't kick in till next season) for a guy who has flashed pretty good talent in his first three years in the league. At best he is a solid #2 WR, plus he fills the need of a size wide receiver. Stevie can now play in the slot and you can have Williams and Woods on the outside with Goodwin in the spread. We could still take Mike Evans but its more likely we could take a tight end either at 9 or in round 2. It really opens up the draft for us, a very nice trade for the team considering the relatively low cost.
  9. Donald Trump will truly turn this into a first class organization, because everything Donald Trump does is first class. (Obvious joke)
  10. The more I look at this draft the more I feel the Bills need a trade down badly. If they could trade down into the 22-16 range and pick up a extra 2nd rounder that would be huge for them. They have a decent amount of holes to fill and getting that extra pick while still picking in the middle of the 1st would be huge.
  11. I would rather they take a chance on a late or mid round pick to sure up the depth at LB. The depth there isn't tragic Kiko, Spikes, Rivers, Lawson, and Bradham are already on the roster. If you added another mid to late round prospect plus a couple of undrafted FA's you should go 6 deep which is plenty of depth and have a couple of players extra for competition.
  12. I am really surprised that no one has been able to pull this off since the USFL. A high level minor league football league in the spring seems like it could work. Start the league year right after the Super Bowl, do off-season draft and free agency the first three weeks of Feb. Start training camp the last week of Feb and the first week of March. A couple of pre-season games in March and then kick it off the last week of March and do a 10 game season with a two week playoff in June.
  13. While I would love to add a talent like Jackson to the offense. He is one of the more dynamic players in the league. But I am not sure he would want to come to Buffalo as he seems to have a decent amount of options. If you factor that out, then I am not sure if you want a possible distraction like him around a young developing QB. I would still consider taking him on since it will fill a huge need but its not without reservation.
  14. They would probably have to give up their 1st and 2nd this year along with a 2nd next year and maybe a 5th this or next year too. The cost will be steep and I am not sure there is really a player worth trading up to number one for.
  15. I hope Jim Kelly pulls through. The picture of him and his daughter is absolutely heart breaking.
  16. RIP Ralph, you kept the team in Buffalo and you built the team in Buffalo. Sad day, but the guy lived a long and fruitful life. Still a disappointment to see him no longer with us.
  17. Its true that having a QB with a huge cap number can compromise the rest of the team. But that being said QB is still such an important position that I would much rather pay one of the top QB's 20 million of my cap then sign 3 or 4 top defensive free agents for that money.
  18. The NFL is in a bubble right now, its inflating its self by adding those Thursday games, and it won't be long before they do Saturday games on top of that. Within 3 years you could have games on Thursday, Saturday, Sunday (From 1 p.m till 11 p.m.) and Monday. That's 4 days a week with football. Right now the demand is there but how long before it gets overexposed? Once the NFL hits its saturation point it will have to dial back one or two of its TV packages. I don't think the NFL will fall in popularity but they are pushing their limits and pretty soon they are going to see where the saturation point is. I think the NFL should abandon the Thursday games and just do Saturday games after Thanksgiving. But what they should do and what's good for business are two different things.
  19. Team really needs a backup QB, EJ should and will be the starter, when he played he did what you would expect from a young QB. Lets see if the kid can stay healthy and what he can do in year two. I don't know what veteran options are out there but we should bring in someone as a backup.
  20. What's wrong with Keanu Reeves? Dude was Neo and Ted in Bill and Ted.
  21. The NFL Season is perfect the way it is, the playoffs give the perfect incentive to finish in first place (Bye week plus home field advantage). Why they keep !@#$ing with the format is beyond me.
  22. This smart bargain shopping the Bills are doing. Talent Wise Britt is the type of receiver the Bills need big with some speed, an outside of the slot type presence. Depends what type of money he will command but its a good look to kick the tires on the guy.
  23. Spikes and Graham are really nice free agents that fill key defensive needs. Rivers isn't the best addition but he at worst adds some decent depth. Williams was underwhelming considering they will be shifting him into a starting role and they paid a decent price for him. And if Dixon signs that's a nice signing too. I also like them bringing back Chandler Overall despite the Williams misstep its been a decent off-season. They still have some work to do but its a nice start. Safety would be a nice area to find a player in. I like what they are doing its not perfect but they are signing the types of players they need to.
  24. I didn't know he was a free agent, it would be a really nice signing. You can't be too deep at DT. If the demand for him isn't there it would be a prudent move to add some depth to the middle.
  25. Spikes one year deal mid level money, really nice deal for both. Spikes gets decent money on a prove it type deal while the Bills get some help at MLB in the run department. He is a liability in the passing game for sure but we can work around that. Overall I like the signing, its an earth shattering type signing but considering how the team lacked a presence in the run game and LB's overall its a nice deal.
