  1. https://www.nasa.gov/planetarydefense/faq What is a near-Earth object? A near-Earth object (NEO) is an asteroid or comet whose orbit periodically brings it within approximately 121 million miles (195 million kilometers) of the Sun – that’s within about 30 million miles (50 million kilometers), of Earth’s orbit. Like the planets, all asteroids and comets orbit the Sun. Some of the smaller moons of other planets may be captured asteroids. Most asteroids are in what is called “the main belt” between Mars and Jupiter. The vast majority of near-Earth asteroids have come from inner part of the main belt, where their orbits were altered by mutual collisions and by the gravitational influence of Jupiter and Mars. The resulting fragments, mostly the size of grains of sand, bombard the Earth at the rate of more than 100 tons a day. Although the vast majority of NEOs that enter Earth’s atmosphere disintegrate before reaching the surface, those that are larger than around 98 to 164 feet (30 to 50 meters) in size may survive the descent and cause widespread damage in and around their impact sites.
  2. Please read past the headlines. Here's what was said on CNN... "In space same year (2013), for more than two weeks, NASA reportedly stopped monitoring potentially dangerous asteroids," he added. "A big one, by the way, is expected to brush by Earth on February 4th." Both sentences in that are facts. "In space same year (2013), for more than two weeks, NASA reportedly stopped monitoring potentially dangerous asteroids," he added. - Fact "A big one, by the way, is expected to brush by Earth on February 4th." - Fact Nowhere does the commentator say the Earth is going to get hit by an undetected asteroid strike.
  3. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-politics-pennsylvania/pennsylvania-court-orders-new-congressional-map-due-to-gerrymandering-idUSKBN1FB2N8 Pennsylvania court orders new congressional map due to gerrymandering (Reuters) - Pennsylvania’s top court on Monday threw out the state’s congressional map, ruling that Republican legislators unlawfully sought partisan advantage, and gave them three weeks to rework it in a decision that could boost Democratic chances of retaking the U.S. House of Representatives. In a 5-2 decision, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled the electoral map violated the state Constitution by manipulating the district boundaries to minimize the voting power of Democratic voters, a practice called partisan gerrymandering.
  4. Thank you for almost trying to engage in conversation and the backhanded complement. Looks like Schumer and McConnell have come to an agreement and there will be a vote this afternoon... DACA pushed a couple weeks down the line
  5. The thread topic did not change to 4chan... also I'd love to see facts that contradict you as well. Trump gave his word and reneged.
  6. Anon and Qanon are not the same thing. QAnon started on 4chan. Please do not insult me.
  7. This is a lie. You quoted QAnon in the other thread. QAnon started as a 4chan conspiracy. All of your talking points parrot #TheStorm.
  8. says the person quoting 4chan conspiracies all over PPP...
  9. I'm still watching the fireworks you promised we'd get this past Monday when some documents got released. Hopefully for your sake these new fireworks are actually lit.
  10. Then why all the hashtags and grandstanding by a only a small percentage of Republicans in the house, everyone on FOX News, and Trump JR (Also Snowden, Assange, & Wikileaks)? If they had the votes it would have been released already.
  11. Republicans are in the house majority. Why can't they just vote and release Nunes report?
  12. An interesting development in regards to thread topic also occurred this morning. http://www.mcclatchydc.com/news/nation-world/national/article195231139.html FBI investigating whether Russian money went to NRA to help Trump WASHINGTON The FBI is investigating whether a top Russian banker with ties to the Kremlin illegally funneled money to the National Rifle Association to help Donald Trump win the presidency, two sources familiar with the matter have told McClatchy. FBI counterintelligence investigators have focused on the activities of Alexander Torshin, the deputy governor of Russia’s central bank who is known for his close relationships with both Russian President Vladimir Putin and the NRA, the sources said. It is illegal to use foreign money to influence federal elections.
  13. Where is the photo on the right sourced from?
  14. Bannon is making himself look good to any fans he still has before he privately spills his guts to Mueller to try to save his own ass.
  15. The same report finished by saying executive privilege was not given to Bannon.
  16. Back in the land of reality, Bannon was subpoenaed this afternoon (second time in as many weeks for those keeping score) to comply with the House Intelligence hearing. Sources (from Fox reporter Chad Pergram) say Bannon was directed by the White House to not answer any questions about the White House and the transition. In my opinion, the bolded is an example of obstruction of justice.
  17. Bannon was subpoenaed last week for Mueller's Russia investigation. The news broke as Bannon was speaking with the House Intelligence Committee's Russia probe. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/01/16/us/politics/steve-bannon-mueller-russia-subpoena.html WASHINGTON — Stephen K. Bannon, President Trump’s former chief strategist, was subpoenaed last week by the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, to testify before a grand jury as part of the investigation into possible links between Mr. Trump’s associates and Russia, according to a person with direct knowledge of the matter. The move marked the first time Mr. Mueller is known to have used a grand jury subpoena to seek information from a member of Mr. Trump’s inner circle. The special counsel’s office has used subpoenas before to seek information on Mr. Trump’s associates and their possible ties to Russia or other foreign governments.
