  1. Whitner and Fitz for Gaither maybe?
  2. New Vikings stadium bill defeated in the State Legislative Committee http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...ouse-committee/
  3. Yeah that didn't take long for both of them to go west.
  4. John Skelton or Jason Campbell? That decision is fast approaching in Round 6.
  5. Props to you buddy. Russ Brandon should be taking notes.
  6. Buffalo's Running Back Triumvirate mirrors what Dallas has: C.J. Spiller = Felix Jones - dynamic playmaker that has speed but will get nicked up Marshawn Lynch = Marion Barber - pile driver that runs through and over people Fred Jackson = Tashard Choice - all around work horse that is the most consistent I wish we had the depth that Dallas has at other positions. Having 3 good Running Backs isn't out of the question though.
  7. I'm sure there is still room on the Steeler Bandwagon for you. Please jump on it. My guess is that Ben's NFL career is over, and rightly so.
  8. Xavier Omon is available. http://twitter.com/Adam_Schefter/status/11723376239 We don't have many RB's on the roster and this is a free agent we can afford.
  9. McNabb won't be coming to Buffalo. 1. Ralph Wilson will not be bucking up for a top ten QB. 2. McNabb wants to go to a contender where he can run the West Coast offense (Minnesota) or close to home (Arizona). We should look into Marc Bulger after St. Louis drafts Bradford.
  10. Thanks for the update. Despite the beating I took for my post, I would like to see Nix evaluate Whitehurst, he has NFL QB size and pedigree and hasn't had a chance to take any regular season snaps yet.
  11. Yeah surprised Incognito and Scott not tendered. I know its a back handed compliment, but I thought Scott was the best OT on our team after Butler retired. I guess whoever the Bills sign/draft on the Offensive line we can immediately pencil in as starters no matter what round or level they are picked/signed. On the upside, we don't have to worry about any Incognito/Mitchell battles in the Locker Room.
  12. I think Jake Plummer and Bill Cowher arrive in Western NY at the same time. The Celebrity Poker Tour is sure to make a stop in Niagara Falls someday.
  13. It was Tony Kornheiser who came up with the line. It was probably Emmitt Smith who tried to say it again. John D was put on injured reserve and released last season. His knee injury was pretty brutal. He was a good player. It shows that most players deserve all the money they get, because their careers can be over in an instant. Hopefully he finds success after football.
  14. We should trade Marshawn and Trent for San Diego QB Charlie Whitehurst and ILB Brandon Siler.
  15. The Bills should pick him up. Team him up with Kawika Mitchell again.
  16. Does this mean that Ralph doesn't have to pay as much for Jauron's remaining contract?
  17. I'm hoping the Cowboys win so we can hire Leslie Frazier on MLK Day and say he was the guy we wanted all along. I’m tired of reading things like the Cornell Assistant Linebacker Coach turned down the opportunity to interview for the Bills HC position. Reading about who has rejected us has only been surpassed by the ridiculous speculation that Cowher will end up Coaching here.
  18. Russ Brandon is hoping that Jauron gets a DC job. The Bills might not have to pay Jauron all of his remaining salary if Jauron gets a new job. I will believe it when I see it though. The Bills would also like to see former Assistants get jobs for the same reason.
  19. Cowher won't be coming to Buffalo. He might try to use the Bills as leverage for other teams. If he even interviews for the Bills job it would be pretty shocking.
  20. 50 years: Circling the Wagons with Waiver Wire
  21. I watched the game this week on NFL.com Game Rewind. Our defense got toasted a few times in 3rd and Long in our "prevent" defense with 3 down lineman and Schobel hovering behind the line. Not that I have played a down of football, but if Schobel is in there, he should be rushing the passer. Rushing 3 and having Schobel sit there just gives the opposing QB more time. On a side note, you can tell Maybin brings a lot of enthusiasm to the field, he just gets schooled on 9 out of every 10 plays.
  22. http://blogs.nfl.com/2009/12/15/colts-coul...sman-this-week/
  23. At least Ralph is making the attempt to bring in the big guns. Glad Shanahan gave us the time of day. I still think we end up with the winner of the UFL. They should call it the Buffalo Bills Bowl.
  24. The timing of Jauron's firing is curious. If he wasn't going to be fired before the bye week, why do it now before a road game? One theory I'm thinking about is Ralph Wilson wants desperately for Trent Edwards to be his QB this year and next year. Jauron's contemplation of inserting Fitzpatrick as a starter blows that strategy. I want the Bills to take a young QB at the top of the draft, but I'm realizing there is no way that happens. Ralph won't pay $60 million for a Rookie QB. Ralph will wait for a Rookie salary cap in 2011 or 2012. Would not be surprised if Ralph completely trades out of the top of the draft this year after getting burned by Maybin's $25 million deal. I'm guessing Edwards starts the rest of the season now that Jauron is gone. We will be trading that top 10 draft pick as well.
  25. He's played at Notre Dame so he knows how to play in Winter conditions unlike QB's from Tulane and the Pac-10.
