With the mini on the nyt going to subscription they have Pips. Played the first time today and it's fun. Got it in under 10 on hard mode so that's cool. Global (game where you guess the country by distance), wordle, and connections are my regulars. I gave up octowords because it was too easy.

I may have misspoke. It was a former patriot in the media. I'll think it over and remember. But even Chris jones came out today talking like Jackson is the MVP

He has a lot of the media guys who don't want to acknowledge him. Some are turning. Most aren't. Rodney Harrison, Baltimore media, certain folks I can't name them all don't give him the credit he deserves. It's similar to drew brees.

also the irony of wanting victims to be protected, believing all victims, etc... but in this case open the files and expose the victims. cuz, ya know, weaponization.

all good one thing that amazes me having friends in the tv biz, including anchors and producers of local news is that many field reporters and spot reporters have to do their own pre and post production now. an anchor friend of mine in top market (won't reveal it all but between 35 and 45) finally got hired on full time after being an anchor on a contract for over 10 years. this person said that the largest markets often do not even give anything more than a contract to the anchors because they cannot afford it. the local small time reporters are all piece rated for their performance. small town newspaper is even worse with most of it being owned by Hearst and a handful of others.

You don't understand where TV is at these days for broadcast. Broadcast makes money with ad sales and that's dwindling. Eventually, I presume it will be subsized heavily by the government. But since streaming took off during covid TV shows are not anchored to their network like they used to be and now will license out their shows to various other avenues/sources. South Park took major advantage of this with specials on various networks. Recently HBOMax has made major progress along with Paramount to secure content of other brands. As long as this continues no broadcaster will be able to compete. But, where the local affiliates make their bread and butter is their own local news. Much like radio is disappearing local TV is, too. The overall interest in owning media is controlling media. Not so much just for personal political agendas but what it can be tied with in any business conglomerate, as well

i think a variety show could pull off some views but so much of what is on networks now is hokey and silly. with football season back on i am tuning in broadcast tv and these commercials for the fall premier shows are just terrible. from matlock to that ghost show and some show elzbeth or something... they just look so forced. and then there is fire country and fbi and all that. they're just not drawing attention

Ravens at Chiefs - who do you want to have their third loss?boyst replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall A few factors: The least likely is Burrow returning for the Ravens late season game. The Packers and Steelers play well at the end of the season and can beat the Ravens. Another hunch all along is that Miami can beat the Ravens because the matchup of pure speed favors the Dolphins. The Chiefs finish with the Texans and Chargers late. By that time I could see the trajectories of both teams different than it is now; the Texans do have talent. The same with the Cowboys and Colts in the late season when they play the Chiefs. Cowboys playing in Nov is a lot different than December. The colts have little chance to sustain that long.

Robert Kraft to sell a minority stake of the Patriotsboyst replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall The inheritance idea is not a bad idea especially if he can get his son to be that buyer. It'd definitely help soften the load he will produce when the time comes.

You have to establish the run. Football 101 You have to set control of the LOS and the line does that best through run blocking. Football 101 Controlling the tempo of the game early with well designed runs and straight ahead blockinh wears down the DL. Football 101 In this game I hope we can use the full bench of RB's to establish the run game. I am eager to get Ray Davis involved in the first quarter of our schedule. He needs playing time, IMO, especially when we can risk poor play/mistakes. Run the damn ball early, often and then do it again

So we have been seeing this about Kirk being our new MLK Jr. The conspiracy and trust with the FBI... But the FBI has proof he used drugs, cheated on his wife fathering many children, witnessed and encouraged a rape of a woman, assaulted and threatened at least 1 woman, was linked to communism and Marxism. ... But ya know... Only maybe. I wish a leader had the balls to release the tapes. Ya know... Release Epstein proof. Release MLK jr facts.
