Something that is missed in all of this is that the difference in schedule is drastic. The Bills play the eagles, the chiefs, the texans. The Bills playing in a much higher level and having much less opportunity for mistakes is a big difference than the Patriots being able to play the giants, the raiders, and the titans And the Patriots did lose to the Raiders. And you can say that doesn't matter because that was the first game of the season or way up there beginning. But the bills showed incredible poise against the ravens. I said this and was insulted: our defense wasn't playing a bad game in the first. Our pass rush was not aggressive by design but also was not going to be effective in the cold snow; no traction. Burroughs was electric. Hitting amazing windows, making the perfect timing on reads, and playing an A+ half. Our run defense was stout in those conditions, too. Building up a running head of steam on a run is going to win vs a defense trying to scramble. The Bengals played an incredible first half.

We needed a LB, among other things. Having that draft would have been Nolan Smith as the next LB taken by the Eagles. Not to mention we didn't plan appropriately when we knew we were not going to pay Edmunds and should have drafted a LB in 2022 to step in the next year for him and we didn't need the CB at that time. We could have got Devin Lloyd which would have been great.
