  1. Cam Lewis would have been the difference for the Chiefs playoff game had he started and played the whole thing last year. He glued to Kelce and the middle playing a hybrid double nickel
  2. I think he's like Chris Kelsey in this defense. I think he was only ever supposed to be what he is now by our scheme and play. We don't pin the DE's ears back and crash the pocket to chase the sacks. We use the DEs to pressure the pocket and linebackers to fill the holes, generate pressure, and drop downhill. By design this defense is not like Cleveland's. Jim Schwartz pins the DE's ears back, shoved a rocket up their ass, unleashes them. This leverages the inside of the line and front of the pocket where you have to commit a linebacker to the pocket and your DT's, IDL to be athletic and shed blocks to keep the backfield from leaking. Without linebackers at good angles and the ability to shed an OL the defense isn't as good as the sum of its part when someone like Garrett is wrecking this havoc. I know terms have changed and the new trend are all these buzzwords these talking heads use where they say the axe comes off the edge in a shade 9 position and the linebacker blablabla. Football is and always has been simple in concept: Disrupt the pocket with your front 4 (with a 34 you use your mike). Set the edge and no outside penetration. Use the LBs to read the play and clean up the disruption. Rely on 3-4 seconds of coverage from your corners. Use your safety's to not let anything get over top and your strong safety to play the triangle between the corners. Just play defense. In our defense the scheme it doesn't favor fancy stats. Our sum of all parts is greater than any individual part. And if that means the sum is less than it could be for 1 specific player setting a sack record than so be it. Unfortunately, that's the way it is. But, the benefit is we seldom see a single player being the gross factor of the game being lost.
  3. I'm about to have my meniscus done, told my doctor to wait until after the season.
  4. Do you follow college ball? Noah Knigga - Eastern Michigan LB
  5. None of that is surprising. Even if they're not real and making it up. Every team has a security staff with them to enforce policy and protect the players. Diabetic Don in Phili is an example.
  6. Hyde came from Green bay, Poyer was cut from a team that won less than five games over a couple years.... The Browns
  7. Not one box of Flutie flakes. Hardly even close.
  8. Ah yes that nuance. I was only concerned with the consumption of money against the cap (that is if his balance is in the top 51)
  9. @Rochesterfanwhy did you disagree? we take on his contract because we signed him.
  10. the contract he signed is carried by waivers to the team who signs him
  11. Oh... This place?????
  12. Politics? What is that you speak of sir? This is a football message board ...?
  13. a lot of that is something i disagree with however, letting tyrel Dobson walk was a mistake.
  14. this is the business of football. not being nice. when the Bills play the Eagles at home the Bills should trot out a video for Slay thanking him for his NFL career and congratulating him on his retirement. beautiful. don't let this chump back us down.
  15. in their defense they mistook Daniel Jones for Mac Jones because their collective IQ of the NFL is akin our IQ of the WNBA.
  16. i'm starting to wonder if Jackson is mentally done/spent.
  17. you forgot the 15 minutes of Mac Jones pro bowl elite potential play. it's why i'm not getting a big rise out of the Drake Maye hype. he's better than Jones but QB's like Stroud, Herbert, and Tua had incredible starts to their careers and regressed as they hit their ceiling early. of those Stroud is the only one who still might get better.
  18. those games? you mean the difference between: Raiders, Giants, Titans... vs. Texans, Chiefs, Eagles so, when you're a new england fan and discover football after seeing the team is over .500 do you just start running your mouth about ball knowledge or does it come natural as being part of what is basically drunk yankee redneck? oh and UNC is among the bottom tier schools like Ichigan.... the good athletes that go there are usually just really decent at sports but dumb as a box of rocks and can only get into the low end schools like those places... if they're smart they'd go to an academic program like Duke or a respectable school in Ohio.
  19. Beane's job is to make a football team, not pander to some soft ass football players emotional feelings. further, if doing this move can impact another team without truly impacting your team - than go for it. keeping slay off the Eagles roster may be a decent move since Ingram was not contributing. regardless, Slay is a soft ass chump ew gross so that's what those guys look like. makes sense they'reo n radio.
  20. Darius Slay isn't a guy. he's a punk.
  21. Anger sure but rough day (found out complete tear of meniscus...) still saying a tantrum to just retire vs going with the Eagles. Just tired of seeing the degradation of integrity.
  22. i think Dalls is gonna make the playoffs but get bounced quick, but may win their first round.
  23. the mindset is the same but the issue is that Phillips was a free agent when the Bills re-signed him after initially getting him from Miami in 2018 off of waivers. Slay doing this after the trade deadline and with a waiver wire then becoming upset with the result of his actions is something a child or imbecile would do... He has a 1 year contract. Let him sit on his arse in retirement collecting the rest of the money ($350k) for the remainder of the season because he retired. The Bills are now liable to pay him the remainder of his contract - I may have even misread it to be as much as $1.255mm... If he's going to have the chicken shiz to do something like that knowing he is going to get paid by Buffalo for retiring in order to avoid playing just to try to force their hand ... eff that guy. I am not forgiving that to let him get released knowing that no other team is going to sign him knowing the crap he is going to pull to avoid playing for anyone but the Eagles. Then Howie Roseman can wait until waivers are up and the guaranteed part of the waivers is over and sign him to a new vet minimum and avoid the cap hit - most especially with the Bills having to still pay the contract he retired on because he cleared waivers... then the Eagles do not have to pay him anything because any contract is offset by what the Bills paid him as the contract taken on from the Eagles. Literally cutting this Dbag enables him to go play for another team for free unless someone is going to get him on waivers - and thats not likely to happen after this. AGAIN.... THIS GUY CAN CHOKE ON A BAG OF ....and hopefully the NFL remembers this negotiating the new NFLPA contract so the league maintains integrity and does not turn into the nba
  24. Phillips was a free agent and off of waivers. huge difference when it comes to the labor negotiations part of it.
