  1. Showing my age but I thought I remember reading when the Ralph was built they said the design could include a dome in the future?
  2. Was wondering if they thought they may have found a new kicker or at least a longer "let's see" and a competition for the kickers next pre season. How old is Lindell. 50+ yard field goals are nice to have.
  3. Didn't realiie awards voted on by the NFL players didn't count? I suppose the Heisman Trophy doesn't count either. In any case you read it there, did he win it? I guess that makes me a liar. Even if it isn't the AP it still leads to the fact he had a good season, which is what you are saying was not the case. Unless it was the AFC mediocre award? What else ya got?
  4. I agree garbage in garbage out... You probably know this but it isn't even that simple as a large portion of Bills fans do 't live in the county or the state. I have seen these studies done by both sides to show impact and goold or bad. Problem is they never show the formulas, use bogus. Numbers as you have suggested and purposely confuse the calculations so they can not be confirmed. Every city that believes they are large enough would bend over backwards to get an NFL team, some at any cost. There has to be a reason, and money talks in this country. Find me a city that wouldn't secure an NFL team for 100 mil. I don't think you could.
  5. Not if the team were to move. It would be lost revenue as well, but permanently not just for 4 - 6 +/- years.
  6. Not to mention he won AfC Defensive Rookie of the Year. That is certainly an indicator of a complete washed out year.
  7. Bruce had a very good rookie year, I think he had 7 sacks. Not that he didn't get better but I remember watching him and saying this kid IS a monster. Just because he got better didn't mean he wasn't playing high caliber out of the gate. Someone suggesting he didn't play well his rookie year doesn't make that so. For a 1st year rookie he was a beast. He was double teamed and the league knew his name.
  8. As long as he gets a deal where not much is guanteed he can always be cut when we are healthy at the WR spot again. Why not use him the way he tried to use us? But Chan has to see the upside 1st or there is none.
  9. We had that one guy... Umm unknown DE Bruce something?
  10. There is a lot left out here perhaps the announcer was less than kind about the Bllls record the last few years, what seemed like a harmless comment may have cost them. Or their could be a thousand other reasons. Would be nice to know the other side of the story.
  11. Ralph could easily put in his will that the team needs to be sold to the highest bidder that would keep the team in Buffalo as his 1st option with a minimum price, if not meet all then sold to the highest bidder a where. No lease needed.
  12. Damn iPhone ! Can't watch it
  13. It's a simple question and then again it's not. They had to have been here for us to realize we missed something. My answer is yes, I'd rather have them and have enjoyed the last 40 years, not old enough for the rest. I enjoyed the winning years the most. We lost the superbowls but the ride was fun. Several of our loseing years we were still competetive and an upset or two changed the season outlook. To my initial point does anyone miss the MLB team we never had
  14. Whoever takes the lastzreceiver spot on the roster will not even match Lee's numbers over the last 2.down years that Lee had. And he will not even be on the roster 3.years from now. So tell me how we opened up a roster spot for all of these potential NFL future stars.
  15. No we didn't, I understand the market and what others went for. If that is the best we can do, than why make the trade? Oh so many reasons this is a bad trade. Had we traded a 4th round pick for a receiver like Lee we would all bee estatic and calling it a steal. This trade did not have to be made, so why even make it? Could have made the same or even better trade next year, he has 2 years left on his contract.
  16. That was my take, these had to be the easiest 3 days of the year. Again no panic but the injury bug has seem to have jumped up and bit us the last few years. The good thing is it's early, bad thing is we don't have the depth some teams have.
  17. Easley bums me out the most, was hoping he would have a full preseason and push some people. Gotta wonder now if it will affect his head. Shepherd is a bummer too, hope they both come back quickly.
  18. Don't get me wrong I don't think the sky is galling and I know there we're no OTAs and people are out of shape, but are other teams having this many strange injuries after 3 days or is it just the normal Bills pre season
  19. Did the Bills shoot themselves in the foot by announcing to the world that they would not be big spenders in the FA market? Would a free agent that they were after feel better if they at least thought that they would not be the only major FA acquisition? Look a it from the free agents point of view,... "Sure this team sucks, but they had a decent draft. Me and 2-3 other free agents and we are competitive or better." Versus thinking... "Me and a bunch of losers, we have no chance, is the money really worth it?" Just seems to me the front office would be better off not saying things like this, even if they are true. It still sounds negative.
  20. If I were Ralph AND I was going to sell the team to the highest bidder (or not even) and I had all of his million. I'd lose $20-30 million a year for 2 years or so and try to win it all. I mean what else does he have, a slightly bigger pile of money? Why not try to enjoy it while you can. I am sure he can use it as a tax advantage somehow.
  21. Owners approve 31-0, Al Davis doesn't vote. http://m.espn.go.com/nfl/story?storyId=6791408
  22. I keep holding out hope that he has found some loophole where he gives the team to the city when he dies. He doesn't want to say whet he is doing so they don't close the loophole. Hey I can dream can't I
  23. I thought I read somewhere that there has been a floor in the past. It had been increasing about 2% a year and was at 87-88% anyway? Not sure where I read it, but it was right after this 90% thing surfaced.
